Super Mario Odyssey is in the vein of Super Mario 64 & Super Mario Sunshine, meaning it's a large 3D adventure with nonlinear gameplay. While I enjoyed Mario's outings in recent years, they felt very typical, very linear, and just seemed like cash grabs. Yes, they were good, but they just lacked that special something. Odyssey, on the other hand, feels like it was built from the ground up with a lot of love. As much as I love the old Mario games, I prefer this style of game. Odyssey is, in my opinion, one of the greatest video games ever made. That said, if they make a successor to it, I hope they make the platforming challenges into full levels like in Super Mario 64. The platforming challenges in this game are a tad bit short.

One of the best Mario games of all time. Constantly surprises with fun mechanics and settings. It's easy enough to go through the main story for everyone, but getting 100% completion is a lot more challenging.

This game is a blast and a must play for anyone that enjoys platformers. I love that each world is free to explore and cappy is a great addition to the game. Perfect level of challenge for both kids and adults.

I love this game there are not enough words in all of the Dictionary combine that explain how great this game is. I have been playing "Mario games" since I was little. And his new adventure is just so fun 10/10

Amazing game. Can't even describe. Nintendo doesn't disappoint, just like Zelda. Must have for switch owners. My 5 year old daughter and I play it all the time, almost have 100% of the moons after two weeks.

This game is the best Mario title since Super Mario 64 came out so many years ago. Controls are tight, the story is simple yet engaging, and gameplay takes full advantage of every trick the Switch has to offer.

Not only a near perfect Mario game, but a creative 3D platformer that always throws in creative ideas until the very end. The graphics and texture look amazing and the soundtrack is insane.

Super Mario Odyssey is an improvement on the previous entries and it allows for all different entry levels. The game's mechanic is to allow the player to capture other enemies to try different game play styles.

For the terrible remarks Nintendo gets for the new consoles, they certainly deliver with gaming!! This game is extremely fun and addicting to play! Makes you want to get everything!! Just takes a while to do!!!

A fun game. Definitely worth the play. And really entertaining for the kids.

I experienced some nostalgia playing this game. But with a whole new twist on Mario that kept me hooked and has me conflicted as to if this game will surpass Super Mario 64 as the greatest all time Mario game.

Love how easy to use it is for people new to video games, it can be challenging but has assistance available as well to let you keep having fun and playing.

It’s a great game for all ages, challenging at times but not impossible to play. It is a great game for adults to unwind and relax after a stressful day. Or for a kid to experience Mario for the first time.

My son has a lot of fun playing this game and he’s so in tune with the whole game challenge. All i hear from his room when he’s playing this game is giggling.

Haven't enjoyed a Mario game like this since Super Mario 64 and if you love that game then know this one is 10 times better. This game is all around fun and the addition to Cappy makes this game even more epic

My family had lot of fun playing this game. It can be played as 1 or 2 players. Although 1 player is Mario and 1 plays as the hat. Still lots of fun finding moons with secret mini puzzles hidden throughout.

Do you like Mario? Yes? This game is the game for you. With out a doubt, this is one of the best Mario games, probably since Mario 64 on the N64. No joke. One of the best games of this season overall. Get it.

Mario Odyssey is everything I hoped it would be and more. I haven't smiled this much playing a game in a long time. Controlling Mario feels great and the game looks superb on top of that. Do not miss this one.
