Great game overall; however the controls could be improved. Half the Joy Con buttons are wasted (duplicate others, amiibo scan, do nothing) and the motion controls are mandatory for some moves.

Mario is back, and in a big way. The actual game is pretty simplistic, but rivals Super Mario 64 in its 3D levels, as well as well-timed throwbacks to the old-school 2D side scrolling Mario. Nintendo continues to kill it with their first-party properties, first Zelda, then Splatoon, now Mario in all his glory.

It combines the classic appeal of Mario games with updated game mechanics. The addition of “Cappy” to the franchise allows a fun experience possessing enemies and attacking far away enemies. With over 800 power moons available in the game, you can play this game for a good amount of time without tiring of it!

I like to have the switch because of its portablility and i have to say the game itself is fun to play on the go. You don't have save points where you have to backtrack a ton in order to get things done. You can just pick up and go from where you left off. lots of hidden things to do so its always a surprise

We really enjoy this game. Our only complaint is that the full range of controls are not available when the console is in handheld mode. Overall we are happy with our purchase.

My son enjoyed the game but unfortunately beat it in less than 3 days. He can go back in and do more and earn more coins. Just wish it was a 2 player or more game and had more levels.

I've had this game since launch and am very happy with it. I finished the game at about 300 moons but still have a lot more moons to go. Great as a single player game, ok as 2-player. Love the hat mechanic, it's truly taken the Mario series forward and I'll definitely be purchasing the next iteration.

My son is having tons of fun playing the game so far. Sometimes it gets stuck and he has to take the game card out. I'm not sure if its the game or the console but he still likes it.

Having a full 3D world Mario on the Switch in the 1st year of the console has been an amazing treat. If you enjoyed Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, or Mario Galaxy. You will love this as well.

This game is a Christmas gift for my grandson he loves Mario brothers. I ordered the game on Best Buy.com and it was ready to pick up in just a few hours. That saved me so much time. And I want to thank all the employees that made my visit there a pleasant one. So nice

Great, exciting game from controlling a typical goomba to terrorizing a jungle with a T. rex, you won't loose interest in this game!!! I've beaten the game now and the replay ability is just insane, I have my daughter playing with me she is 4 and she just loves Mario. I'm so glad I bought the switch

My grandson lost his game, it was one of his faves, so quick and easy to replace it.

I looked forward to playing this with my daughter and was disappointed when the only thing I could do was help her by being her hat.... Game is fun however and has lots to do.

This is by far one of the best Mario games to ever be released. If you loved Mario 64, this is a must buy. The main story takes about 12 hours to complete but it does have a after game that will take even more hours to get all of the moons and different costumes. If you own a Switch, you need this game.

We love the Mario series game, we bought almost everything in the series. Nice picture and great play but second player can't do anything much.

Entertaining game. Only frustration is that you are encouraged to play with the joycons detached from the side of the switch game console.

It is a fun platformer game. Some of the puzzles are a little simplistic. For an open world game, not as fun as Breath of Wild. For a Mario game, probably the best one that I have played.

The games look beautiful, so much power for such a little console. My only problem with it is the short life of the battery(lasts about 3-4 hours) and the little customization available.
