Super Mario Odyssey takes everything they learned when creating Super Mario 64 and polished it up. This feels like a direct sequel to said game even though many Mario games have come out in between. This game oozes charm and is downright a blast to play even if you aren't much a fan of Mario games I highly recommend this. Game of the year contender for sure.

I purchased this game thru Gamers Club which gave me 20% off & Best Buy gave me $10 in rewards for pre ordering it. WELL worth the money, even at full price!! Great gameplay & interesting storyline. Feels similar to Super Mario 64, but not the same game at all. Similar moves & jumps but some brand new concepts in yet another wonderful Mario game by Nintendo!

Much like The Legend of Zelda, the new Switch game for Mario evolves the series greatly. This game can be hard to put down, and you'll look forward to picking it up again. If you have played any Super Mario games before, you likely will not find it very challenging, but you'll like the nods to prior games and the strong platformer the series always provides.

For those that love open world 3D Mario games like Mario 64 and Galaxy you'll love Mario Odyssey. Cappy makes the game innovative and you have to find power moons scattered across numerous stages. The best thing is you can complete any objective you want and collect numerous power stars at once, The 2D sidescroll levels are neat and a great act of nostaglia.

Intuitive controls, loads of fun! And even an after game play too!

The game blended classic and modern Mario into a nostalgia inducing good time. The gameplay had a beautiful mix of classic 8-bit Mario, Mario 64, and recent Marios. The gameplay was solid and could be beat in under ten hours. The real fun and challenge comes after the main story and you can return to the previous worlds to find all of the secrets.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it, we all do! We have so much fun playing this game together. The graphics are amazing. If you love playing anything Mario, buy this game and buy it at Best Buy. I checked several sources for this game and Best Buy had the best price plus I know they stand behind the products they sell!

I got this as a Christmas gift for my oldest son two years ago. My youngest son lost it earlier this year. They love the game and it’s something I can actually play with them. It’s family friendly.

This game is so much fun to play. This is the 1st game I got when I purchased a switch and it didn't disappoint. Love the different kingdom designs and great boss fights.

So it's everything you like about classic Mario which potentially you can playing for a while but now with updates. I really enjoy the enemy possession feature that is new to this game and a lot of the puzzles are very intelligent and challenging at times. The stories when you've heard before but there's a fun twist that I won't tell you!

Mario odyssey is an excellent play. If you’re looking for oldschool fun it’s got a lot of throw-backs as well as new challenges. With the ability to possess characters throughout the game it’s exciting and fun. There are lots of puzzles to solve and moons that are hard to get to. Even the most experienced player will find some parts of it challenging

This is definitely the best Mario game I have ever played. Lots of new tricks and mechanics in the game with good variation in the environments. My only disappointment was how quickly I finished the story line, and since I am not a 100%er, effectively ended the game. If you're a competitionist, this game will give a TON of replay value for you.

Must have game for switch. Much in how Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario galaxy gave you fantastic platformer games. This game as well offers a lot of rewarding and fun gameplay elements and mechanics. Its comfortably the same, but has enough new mechanics to be new as well. If you liked the previous 3d mario games you should get this game.

Mario Odyssey is a super fun game. So much to do for a 100% run!

Oh wow, where to begin? I feel like this game is the combination of the greatness from the previous 3D Mario games to make a special game for fans and newcomers alike! Anyone picking this game up will have no trouble learning it and enjoying it. As simple as it seems, there lies a more complex layer for those die hard fans who want to truly master the game.

This game is truly a masterpiece. I don't know if its the best mario game ever but it is my GOTY, and definitely the best game for the Switch so far. I would recommend this to anyone who likes video games, platforming, fun, Mario, etc. I think this game offers something for pretty much everyone except maybe someone who absolutely despises platforming games.
