This game basically takes everything Nintendo's learned from all of their 3D Mario games, combines them into one, and throws a bunch of new stuff on top of it to make it uniquely its own. I'm only to New Donk City, but this is already one of the best Mario games I've ever played, easily up there with the Galaxy titles and Super Mario 64.

Bought as a gift for my teenage son. He really enjoys playing this game which he plays with his teenage sister. Holds their attention.

It's a 3D Mario game in the vein of Mario Galaxy or Mario 64, do you really need any more explanation? You know what Nintendo puts in terms of quality, and charm in to these titles. If you are looking at reviews for this game, without already purchasing it, then obviously you have been living under a rock since 1996.

My kid loves this game, and he loves playing it together with me. Great storyline, good graphics, neat puzzles.

This game has to be the funnest, funniest, most ingenious game ever made. It is beyond creative. The game has so many different aspects to it. There are so many hidden treasures and fun things to discover. I have to say it has to be one of my favorite games of all time. Nintendo went above and beyond with this Mario release.

As someone who grew up playing 3D Mario games (including Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2), I can honestly say that this game is easily one of the best. The controls feel fantastic, the different areas in-game have lots to discover and explore, and the visuals are gorgeous. If you have a Nintendo Switch, you should definitely buy this game.

I have fond memories of playing Mario 64 in college and being in awe at how much better it was then any Mario before. Mario Odyssey instills that same sense of amazement even as an adult. Been having a blast and my kids love playing the two player mode as Cappy. This game should be an instabuy for anyone with a switch no matter the age.

I've owned a switch for about half of a year now. This is the first game which has actually had me removing the Switch from the dock and playing it portably outside my house. It's yet another wonderful Mario experience. It makes me remember of the wonderful times I had while playing Super Mario Galaxy 2. Believe the hype, buy this game.

Fun adventurous game for entire family. Husband didn’t like the ending spoiler! The old graphics mixed with new is awesome So good to see retro with improved, they did a great job in bringing us back to our younger days and sharing it with our kid thank you.

Great Mario game well worth buying, you won't regret it. It's like a modern update of mario 64 with more diverse levels. The difficulty of each level is up to the player if you look for minimum amount of items to proceed some may find it too easy but finding all collectibles increases difficulty. If you own a switch this is a must buy.

Though I can't seem to enjoy gaming like I did as a kid, it was fun seeing my 9 year old son get this and relive that excitement. I have to imagine this felt to him like getting Mario 3 did for me as a kid. Great Mario game and a must own with the Switch.

Super Mario Odyssey will definitely give you 60 hours plus of nonstop fun. Beautiful graphics, tight controls, really fun and varied gameplay, delightful music, and just an overall ton of fun. It’s not just a must have game for Nintendo Switch owners but if you don’t have the system yet, it’s really a system seller, too.

if you remember super Mario 64, then you will not be let down by this video game at all. This definitely brings back that nostalgia from way back then when running around with 3D polygonial figures that happen to be Mario Bowser and peach. You could have denied that game was ahead of its time and so is this one.

Possibly the best Mario game ever made, this game blends seamlessly the open, 3D environment exploration that hearkens back to Super Mario 64. The game is a great blend of challenging and easy that makes it great for players of all ages. Everything comes together to form a very excellent game that is through it all just plain FUN.
