I was on the fence with the Nintendo Switch. I bought it at release, but didn't like any of the games. A Nintendo console without Mario is like kool aid with no sugar. But Nintendo delivered on its promise. Mario Odyssey is one of the best Mario games, and possibly better than Super Mario Bros 3.

I recently beat this game 100% and I enjoyed every moment of it. I had a smile on my face from beginning to end. Nintendo has made a masterpiece here and if it weren't for Zelda Breath of the Wild also coming out Mario Odyssey would be my game of the year. If you own a Switch, you need this game.

because its Super Mario! My wife and I have REALLY enjoyed it so far and its just as great as I was hoping it would be. Its the sole reason, after Zelda, to even own a Switch. They should just bundle every system with a copy. If you have it enjoy it, if you don't, get it...then enjoy it. 5 stars!

Love any Mario game. Great game and fun to play. Easy for little kids. My 6 year old loves it. My 3 year old can play it as well

Nintendo's newest Mario title is visually stunning with new and interesting controls that sets it apart from the previous games. The games story is very short and could be completed in day, but to get all of the collectibles and fully explore the worlds would likely take around 50 hours or more.

A lot of fun with some challenging areas but the main story is never too challenging.

The Mario fans have been waiting for. For over 20 years players have been harking on Nintendo to bring Mario back to the Mario 64 style gameplay and they’ve delivered a game that far exceeds anyone’s expections. Don’t take my word for it, just look at the overwhelming amount of positive reviews.

A fantastic Mario experience that adds some new gameplay twists, without abandoning the core Mario Gameplay elements we know and love. Using Cappy to take control of NPC gives you a host of new abilities to learn and master to solve a plethora of inventive and colorful puzzles in the game world.

Our 7 year old had seen Player Select program on this game and begged to get it. He played it for almost 12 hours straight on day after we purchased it and threw a fit when we told him he had to go to bed. Well worth the purchase.

Mario Odyssey deserves all the Excellent Reviews is getting. It is the culmination of all the 3D Marios since 64 and it pays off. My only Complain is that the Camera movement blocks you view at time, but even then it does not take from the experience. THIS IS THE NEXT BIG MARIO IN ALL ITS GLORY.

First time playing Mario Odyssey, and I loved it! Fun and breath taking adventure that expands the imagination even further. Puzzling challenges and battling enemies is anyone's taste who seeks to take the quest.

Haven't played a Mario game since super Mario 64 but this game is awesome! Also the fact that outfits aren't pay walled behind amiibos, you can get em with ingame currency and or amiibos so yay. Level design, music, nostalgia feeling 10/10 haven't tried the multiplayer part of it though. Enjoy!

Purchased for my daughter, a die hard gamer of games she likes. She has raved about this game even before it came out. Thoroughly entertaining and seems like a mid level players game ( not to easy, not too hard) Lots of comedy and mischief. A must for a gamer who loves Mario and the whole gang.

It was a good game with many Easter eggs and a good story. It is good for new players, but if you want to 100% the game , you will need some experience.

I have been waiting years for a return to 3d mario and this one did not disappoint. Never a chore to play and challenging and fun. I never groaned about how much there was to do to 100% so much to do in this game, so many moons to collect. Fun and funny and a very good entry into the series.

It is similar to the Nintendo 64 game. But this Mario game is harder. I like how they have a whole lot of moons to look for. Makes the game interesting. As well to look for the regional(purple) coins. Hopefully they can make another Mario game like this for this console. Great game Nintendo.

The game is a great blend of today and also brings back the amazing retro style of gameplay. My kids, wife, and I all have had a great time playing this together. I recommend this game to everyone! Such a blast from the past.

This is the true spiritual sequel to Super Mario 64. The sandbox style gameplay is back, and with over 800 moons to collect, you'll be exploring every nook and cranny for hours. It's a joy to control Mario, and the charm and presentation Nintendo put into this title constantly makes you smile.
