I haven't had this much fun playing a video game in ages. My daughter and I have been playing this a ton and its fun to see her discover areas and moons I hadnt and vice versa. The assist mode is perfect for her because its like training wheels she can use to get familar with how a open world game works. 10 out of 10 all the way.

Every generation gets a new spin on Mario. We’re a little late joining the action here, but it’s a very fun game so far! It’s amazing how far Mario has come from the days when I was kid playing my NES! Graphics are great, controls feel good, and there’s so many new features!

Kids and adults alike will enjoy this game. The feel of the game is different than the old Mario games, but it isn't a bad thing. The story is fun and the adventure is rewarding. My only issue is that the 2nd player acting as Cappy is not like playing a separate character, so it is not a rewarding experience.

At first glance the game seems easy, and it is if you want it to be. Each level has moons to collect and the base amount to complete the level really doesn’t require a lot a skill. However, to get the full ending and especially to complete the game 100% requires a lot. It’s hard to imagine Nintendo making a better MARIO game.

Haven't had this much fun in a 3D Mario game since the initially release of Super Mario 64. The levels are quite refined and compact. There are moons to collect everywhere, and you don't need to restart a stage after collecting each one, allowing a steady pacing of the game. Definitely a must play for any 3D platformer fan.

This is the best Mario game I’ve played in years, if not ever. The visuals are incredible, the music is great, it’s fun to play, and the platforming ranges from fun and simple to very challenging at times. There’s so much content that you could play if for 50+ hours before you find everything, which is a lot for a Mario game.

I an new to the switch, however, not to the Mario series. I have to say that this game is a blast to play. This game takes me back to my childhood when games were not extremely challenging, and they were extremely fun to pick up and play. The game looks beautiful and is easy to pick up for a few minutes at a time and play.

Mario Odyssey is an awesome game. I like how it's more like Mario 64 than the recent games in the series. I like how each level is really open. Unlike Mario 64 there isn't a set star that you have to get to be able to open the course for the next star, but you can get most moons in any order other than the story related ones

Super Mario Odyssey is a must own Switch game. This game takes classic Mario and reinvents it! There are several different outfits you can use coins to purchase for Mario and they can be mixed and match. The game isn't overly difficult, however there are some frustrating bosses as the game goes on. Nintendo did a great job.

Nintendo has really outdone themselves here, creating a platforming experience that feels like a seamless combination of the open environments of Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine and the tight, focused level design of Mario Galaxy. Movement is accessible yet complex, and there's plenty of content here to keep you coming back for more. My only gripe is the motion controls. Most of them have a button input, but some, such as throwing your hat upwards, have no alternative, and a lot of the time if I try doing a motion input, there's a delay or the game misreads it as a different gesture. Even for the motion controls that do function properly, it's difficult for me to do them while playing the game in handheld mode.

A must own game for switch owners. It’s a mix of MARIO Galaxy and Mario 64! Also it’s 2 player! The 2nd player controls Mario Hat which is way funnier then it sounds. The Har can collect coins, attack bad guys, take over other charters, destroy stuff, and the list goes on! What you doing still reading this review buy now!!!

This game alone justifies the purchase of the Nintendo Switch. This is Mario at his best. As a long time Mario Bros. fan it will take you back to your younger days and as a new comer; it will give you a taste of classic and modern Mario. The game looks great, sounds great and controls great. Another awesome job by Nintendo

Mario Odyssey is a perfect addition to the mario collection. It's an evolution to the series and draws on the gameplay mechanics of Mario 3D world and Mario Galaxy. The graphics is gorgeous and looks great in handheld mode too. The controls are tight and responsive. Highly recommend to any gamers and especially Mario fans!

The game is really good, super fun, plays greats, and looks fantastic. The hat mascot really add a new dimensions to the Mario game play, and the different environments are really creative. My only complains are that the camera are kind of wonky sometimes, game is too easy, and it does get a little repetitive after awhile.

Mario Odyssey is everything that I wanted it to be. I have seen a couple of people complain that the game is a little too easy, and while that may be the case, the game was probably not designed for gamers in their 30s, but probably for children. So maybe let's all just calm down. Everything else about the game is amazing.

As creative as Mario Galaxy was, I love the gameplay mechanics of this new adventure. I've always loved Mega Man for the ability to acquire your enemies' weapons, and Odyssey takes that to another level. If you know nothing about this game, your hat gives you the ability to become several of the enemies in the game, as well as objects in the environments. This means that the gameplay is constantly changing as you discover all of the many transformations available to you. Discovering each one is necessary to discover the hundreds of moons located throughout the 16 worlds that you can travel between. Collecting some moons are necessary to finish the story, but the rest get you exploring every inch of the maps. They're not just scattered about like most collectibles in games, but most are hidden behind specific tasks that must be completed or secret locations that must be discovered. Just when you think you've found them all in a level and there can't possibly be anymore, you can check a list that shows there are still twenty left to find. Everything about this game is clever, and the gameplay does not get stale.

Pure Mario fun, lots of creative levels. Kids and adults can enjoy this great game. The levels get harder as the game progresses. Having a Peach and Mario amiibo makes the game easier. The Luigi's Ballon Chase game that you unlock after beating the first part of the game is a great addition to an already great game.

One of the best in Mario series in my opinion. It is easy to play as my youngest son has no trouble playing on his own and I do not have to worry about unappropriated contents playing this game. The hat thing makes it very unique to this game. Big applause for the team that keep inventing new ways to play
