There’s a reason this game has become the highest ranked game of all time and the fastest selling Mario game ever. It’s remarkable. So easy to play, yet challenging to master. The environments are beautiful, the story is fun, and there’s so much to do. Possibly one of the best games I’ve ever played.

I really didn't expect to enjoy this game as much as I do. Each of the zones is wonderfully detailed and I love being able to run around and explore. The game play is just challenging enough for me as if it were harder I probably would have gotten too frustrated to continue playing.

It's a main-line Mario game. It's polished and fun and full of silliness. The control gimmick in this one is excellent and worth your time. The only thing holding it off of 5 stars is that the 2nd player assistance option is severely under-baked. I think I'd prefer they had left it off entirely, as it just disappoints.

This game is packed with fun and puzzles. You can breeze through the game by acquiring the minimal number of moons. However, acquiring all moons can be challenging sometimes. Once you learn how to do stunning moves, it feels like a new game and you can solve the same task with different approaches.

...but the game gets much, much better after the main story ends. I finished up Odyssey's main quest in about ten hours and felt kind of disappointed. This was supposed to be the next great Mario game and it just felt...meh. After sitting on my shelf for a month or two, I decided to give it another go, and I'm happy to say that the game gets much better as soon as that main story is out of the way. Exploring the many worlds and finding moons in every nook and cranny is a great time. Mario controls well, the music is a lot of fun, and I find myself still popping this into my Switch from time to time.

Mario Odyssey may not be your favorite Mario game but it sure tries to be. It takes a thing from each point of the Mario history and mix it up. With a lot from 64 and Mario Galaxy, the mechanics are the best so far and graphics too. Lots of content and hidden things for those hardcore gamers!

My wife wants this game band.... she says it has definitely interfered in her micromanage of my everyday activities. This game will cause the following issues (but not limited to these). Dishes will stay longer than usual in the sink Trash will not get taken out at normal intervals Dirty clothes will get left on the floor in the bathroom - not finding their ways to the laundry room on their own. May cause blurred vision and sore fingers after hours of playing... The only relief is the Switch battery does have to get charged after about 5 hours of straight gameplay Overall, this is a great Mario game - even better than Mario Galaxy or Sunshine for me. It controls and plays great. I only play my Switch as a portable - so not sure how it looks on a TV, but it is PERFECT in handheld mode for me. Also, having to "take over" other characters to solve the puzzles has added a lot to the overall challenges - even more so than I originally expected. If you are a life long Mario fan like me - get this game.

Love mario games.kids loved it easy to learn great story

Mario Odyssey is one of the most fun gaming experiences I've had in years. It brings a mixture of the classics of my childhood and a modern take on gaming. The controls are tight with no noticeable flaws. The art style works well and it looks great. This is the best 3D Mario game I have played.

This is a great game in an age of gross exploitative business practices. A collectathon with little pressure and made to be fun. Somewhat challenging at times, but not punishing. Death is hardly a big deal in this game. Great for all ages, rediscover what it is to just have FUN playing a game.

I bought a Switch pretty much for the sole purpose of playing this game, and it did not disappoint. The level design across the entire game is incredible, and the game uses the new addition of Cappy in amazing ways to provide new, creative puzzle solving and platforming mechanics that I didn't think were possible before this game. I beat the main story in about 10 days of playing for hours on end, and have been spending a lot of time collecting as many moons as I can post-main story. After you beat the game, even more moons are added to the previous worlds, providing a great incentive for people that love collecting everything. I've got about 300 moons so far after putting a TON of hours in, and there are still another 500 to go to 100% the game! You need 500 moons to get the real ending as well, and this game keeps giving you reasons to come back and get to that goal! This game is a must-have for any Mario/Nintendo fan, and should be the first game you pick up when you get a Switch.

I just bought a Switch and this is my first game. I've played a lot of Mario games and must say this is the best one since Super Mario Galaxy. It is open world so it never becomes tedious. I love that Mario's hat lets you control other characters and use their traits. This one is a must buy!

This is up there with Super Mario Galaxy as my favorite Mario ever. Has so much diverse gameplay, great level design, beautiful visuals, and it's tons of fun. You can play this game for a while and not get bored, and there's tons to do and mess around with. One of the best Switch games PERIOD.

Got it for my 6 yr old son and he loves it! Very easy and kid friendly.

Imagine Mario 64 as the developers wished it could be and you'll understand what Mario Odyssey is. The controls and gameplay take you immediately back to that game. The levels are wonderfully designed and the environments vary greatly. If you are a Mario fan you need this game in your life.

The amount of fun I have playing this game is indescribable. It really brings me back to my childhood. The play of this game is challenging but not over challenging, making it fun. The worlds are incredibly beautiful and the controls are easy to use. It's a must purchase... 10/10 hands down.

This game for the switch is excellent. The graphics are really nice whether in tv or handheld mode. It runs a smooth 60 fps and the level designs are huge with tons of collectibles to find in each world. Mario Odyssey definitely gives Zelda Breath of the Wild a run for 2017 Game of the Year!

I love this game! If you have a Switch, you need to get this game. It's incredibly fun, tons of game play, easy to pick up (anyone can play it), great game for kids or adults. I like it as much as i liked Mario galexy and it's probably the best game for the Switch right now next to Zelda.

Five minutes into this game and I knew I was in for a beautiful treat. This title exceeded my expectations and still surprises me. After you complete the game, it doesn't end there. There is so much to see and do that rewards the longtime Nintendo and Mario fan. My highest recommendation.
