Mario Odyssey brings back the nostalgia and enjoyment of the previous mario games and mixes in the new generation of gameplay the Switch has to offer. You can play this on the go, or plug it into the stand and play it at home on your tv. The controls and gameplay are reminiscent of the 64 version of the game. Graphics are smooth and silky, especially in the Metro City Stage where it looks like Mario is ina place like New York. Story wise, it’s the same song where Bowser kidnaps the princess and Mario needs to save her as always. The game can be finished in about 8-10 hours, but there’s a lot of exploration that can be done. If you’ve been a fan of the series, this is a must play.

Mario 3D platformer with silky smooth controls. Open-world adventure with lots of collectibles and amazing level/sound/visual design. That's all you need to know. Go buy this game.

I knew this game would be good but I am amazed by how great it is. Excellent play control, beautiful levels, and it also allows you to play 2D as the original Super Mario Bros game! Incredibly fun!

Tons of fun! Love being able to take the system outside and play or have it hooked up to the large tv. Love the free world aspect of Mario. Reminds me a lot of Mario 64. Tons of hours of enjoyment!

This game is fantastic in every way. The level designs, and even the level play after you finish is worth every minute you spend playing the game. Hands down one of the best Marios yet to come out!

This game is so great! I bought it as a surprise for my boyfriend and he loved it so much. The story is cute, simple enough but still super engaging, and the graphics are amazing as well.

I've been really enjoying this game. It controls well, looks beautiful, has a fun story, and lots of collectables. It feels great to play a Mario game that feels like Super Mario Sunshine again.

Mario. Need I say more? Every Nintendo since the dawn of the NES has had a Mario title. THe latest 2017 iteration is fun and very challenging.

Mario Odyssey is vintage Mario at his best. Hard to surpass Super Mario Galaxy but it has. Glad to have it in my collection.

A truly entertaining game that holds up well among it's predecessor's. You might have heard the game is a bit on the short side but there's a ton of post game content and exploration is rewarded.

I have really enjoyed the past run of Mario games, especially Mario 3D World for the Wii U. Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 were also great games, but the whole galaxy and spherical level idea could be frustrating at times. This new Mario game takes a lot of those ideas and mashes them together into a great experience. It's fun for all ages and breathes new life not only into the Mario franchise but platform titles in general. Exploring the lush variety of worlds is fun and enjoyable. You never know when you'll find a nook, or cranny, here and there and discover new things. The costume collection is a fun addition and you can't wait to explore to see what new items you can unlock for our hero.

This game is just amazing. I did not realize how much I needed a new Mario game. Between this and Zelda, Switch has two of the best games ever made. I can't wait to go back to it for more moons.

Really great game. Classic Mario but fresh, in every aspect imaginable. Gameplay is exciting and you’re hooked right away with its stunning visuals and story.

Plot line is *meh* but the game itself is challenging and fun. Good immersive game intro, might be tough for the younger audience but a good one to get them acclimated to the immersive aspect.

Odyssey takes the crown, even over my old favorite Super Mario 64. This game is very creative & enjoyable to play. Looking forward to doing the adventure all over again!

This game is all I wanted in a Mario game for a long time. Open worlds, countless moons, great gameplay. I love this game almost as much as Breath of the Wild. Nintendo did amazing this year.

Super Mario Odyssey simply put is an amazing game. There is so much to do with tons of nicely designed levels and tight movement + controls.

Super Mario Odyssey came in with a lot of hype and high expectations, and it mostly meets them. It manages to be both bite sized (collecting individual power moons) and open world (your adventure remains continuous even after collecting a moon) in scale. Effective controls complement the game's scope, although it remains somewhat tricky to nail precise jumps in the 3D space (such as trying to squash an enemy). Similarly, the camera requires a bit too much babysitting for my liking. Beyond that, the game shines. The creativity is some of the later worlds is impressive, including most of the boss battles. On the whole, Odyssey is a worthy addition to the Mario series.
