Just like the title states, I have not had this much fun playing Mario in 20 years. It is an excellent throwback to the N64 days and has massive worlds filled with puzzles and secrets that change as you progress. The fun (almost) never ends! It has a funny little story, and incorporates mechanics never seen before while also bringing in very familiar mechanics. This is a "don't wait, buy now" sort of game. Highly highly recommended for Mario fans of all ages. If you own a switch and don't own this game, than you are certainly not getting the best possible experience on the market quite yet!

I've always been a big fan of all Mario Brothers games and this one did not let me down!!! My 6 yo son finished the whole game in less than 4 months which really surprised me!!!It's a bit pricey but I guess it's worth it as long as I see a smile on my son's face!!!

Was eager to buy this game for awhile and it did not disappoint. Grest story and amazing landscapes and bosses make this a must have for any switch owner.

Amazing controls, fun Platforming and inventive scenarios. Game is fun from start to finish and beyond. Must own for any Nintendo Switch owner. Definite must buy!

Odyssey plays wonderfully and is very imaginative as Nintendo games typically are, but it was too easy for me. Feels short. I blew though the main game in a fews hours with little effort. I thought that once I beat the story that the game will open up and present more of a challenge. It did provide more items to collect, but still was very easy and not much else to see. Still good though.

Mario Odyssey is incredibly fun and cute and provides dozens of hours of gameplay. There is tons to collect and see and the animation and design are deslightful.

Another fun 3D Mario game with innovative controls and modern graphics, a great pick for any Mario fan out there!

Better than Mario 3D World on Wii U for sure. Not as good as Galaxy. Pretty easy, at least as much of it as I've played so far.

I had a blast playing through this game! It's so easy to pick up and play and there is so much to do. This game is a must for anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch!

With Super Mario Odyssey, it is definitely one of the best 1-player games I've played in a while. In this game Mario attempts to save Princess Peach from Bowser on another adventure, travelling from kingdom to kingdom with the help of Cappy, who's sister has been captured by Bowser as well. With that said, this game is definitely fun in its exploration and collecting. In addition, there are more than one way to go about collecting Moons, which is definitely fun to do. As for how long this game is, if you want to finish it completely without help, it will definitely take you some time.

I got this game as a gift for a family member after already trying the game myself a year prior and they absolutely loved it and finished the whole thing in a week. It's so creative, fun, and nostalgic so get it for that friend who grew up playing those old-school Mario games but loves the newer systems like the switch. This really was the best buy as I got this for $20 cheaper than any other place that had it available. Not to mention, the curbside pick-up was a breeze.

I think the best part of Mario Odyssey is how Nintendo has continued to work on making games that can be enjoyed by any skill level. From offering the option to use a free power after failing a few times, to an assist mode for players that need a boost, Mario is truly a game for all family members of any skill level. If you've played a lot of these sorts of games, the game does not offer much challenge until after you "beat" the game. Still, the thrill of discovery keeps you entertained, even if it feels a bit easy. For expert players, the game really takes off after the credits roll.

This is the best new Mario game since email 64. Controls are excellent, levels are vast and beautiful, but not repetitive like sunshine. I really enjoyed this.

Odyssey is a great departure from the standard 3 dimensional mario games we have seen since Mario 64. Odyssey showcases its roots in ways that most Mario connoisseurs will not just recognize but will love. Odyssey is not so hard that you can't beat bowser in a day or two, but it also has plenty to do, to keep you coming back for weeks after. Playing Cappy is a neat twist, that gives some second player involvement similar to Mario U. With the best graphics ever, and Marios larger than life wardrobe, Odyssey has brought Adventure back to Mario. I think Odyssey is truly a super Mario!

Saying that I was hesitant when I was first considering to buy this game is an understatement... still suffering a sour taste in my mouth- the disappointment suffered from other Super Mario games over the last few years made me leery of the prospect of shelling out $60 on another possible flop. The Super Mario memories of my childhood & adolescence have been placed on a pedestal SO high - the likelihood of any other Mario-genred game acheiving THAT level of reverance would be slim... So why bother? Being mindful of my unfairly skewed expectations I vowed NOT to err on the side of caution and skepticism (perhaps even pessimism) and I chose to open my mind and try out Super Mario Odyssey (I desperately needed to find something to occupy the travelling time on an upcoming trip). Now that you're aware of the serious handicap this game had to overcome. The fact that I'm ELATED to report that this new Super Mario installment not only gave me something fun and engaging to occupy the long hours of the car ride... but I enjoyed the game SO much that I had a hard time wrenching myself away from my Switch to take part in the actual "vacation" portion of my trip. I, without reservation, endorse Super Mario Odyssey for both first-timers AND my fellow jaded gamers who have become too accustomed to being disappointed and underwhelmed.

The new hat mechanice really changes up the whole mario experience. Add to that the creative levels and new enemies and you got a brand new mario experience.

Best Switch game so far! Huge amount of content! Impressive graphics! You can play as so many different characters! Challenging puzzles! All around phenomenal!
