Awesome game Extremely fun Cannot put it down a+

I haven't played a 3D Mario game at all, so this was my first entry into the series since I've been playing more Nintendo since the Switch's launch. It allows you to solve the puzzles your own way and it is easily playable for hours or small amounts of time. It's extremely fun, challenging, and the art direction is great.

As of writing this review, I've owned a Nintendo Switch for three years, almost to the day. I've held off on buying this game due to my lack of affinity for 3-D Mario titles, opting for Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe instead (another stellar title, by the way). After buying, playing, and really enjoying Super Mario 3-D World/Bowser's Fury, I decided to give Super Mario Odyssey a shot. Please tell me why I waited SO long to purchase this game? This game is PHENOMENAL! It takes all of the elements from both 2-D and 3-D Mario titles and combines them to make a Mario title on par with Super Mario Bros. 3, and that is saying something! Just by the game. If you have a Nintendo Switch, BUY IT! If you don't have a Switch, BUY IT ANYWAY! It's just that good!

Very fun game. I bought for my daughter for Christmas. She loves the game. I also play it. If you are a Mario fan this is a must have. Gives mario 64 vibes but much better and love how they added part that are original mario brothers (2D) into the game.

So much to do in this game. So many different ways to play it. You can't type it all out without saying, "If you own a Nintendo Switch you MUST OWN THIS GAME!". From the very start of the game the controls are amazing. The story grabs you in right away. The game play is reminiscent of Mario 64. 10 Purple coins out of 10!

I've always been a huge fan of Mario and Nintendo in general, and this time is no different! Nintendo really knocked it outta the park, with a sandbox style Mario game with amazing graphics, portability, and tons to do, paying homage to both old school 2D mario, as well as all the 3D titles. Worth getting a switch for :)

This game has always been worth getting and it's even better with the Switch 2 performance updates.

My 8 year old grandson really loves this game. As usual Mario does not disappoint.

Is there a bad Mario game? Like, aside from the random spinoffs, has Nintendo made a bad Mario game? No, right? Anyway, Odyssey is a brilliant game that should be in every Switch owner's catalogue. I wish it was a bit longer but those 15-20 hours were an absolute blast, so I'm not complaining one bit.

I was hesitant to get this game, because I am a huge lover of the original Super Nintendo Super Mario. I purchased this for my husband initially, but ended up loving it. It has so many aspects of freeplay while still providing goals and objectives similar to super Mario!

I've been a fan of Mario 64 ever since it was first released on the Nintendo 64. After spending a couple of hours playing Super Mario Odyssey, the game design is really reminiscent of Mario 64. The nostalgia of playing this game brings me back to the 90s while it also includes updates that fit in nicely with the genre.

Arguably the best new mario game, but the gameplay doesn't last as long as the older ones did.

I purchased this game for my niece as a Christmas gift! The eyes she made when the gift was open is priceless! It's been 2 days after Christmas and she still can't drop her switch to stop playing. Game is super entertaining for hours of non-stop action!

I could not put it down, I like that you can go back to the worlds and continue the adventure doing different challenges you weren’t able to do before.

From the first second I picked it up I knew it was going to be amazing! I instantly was transported back to 1997 when I played Mario 64! The game doesn't disappoint at all. So much creativity went into the making of this game! It looks fantastic, the controls are perfect and there are so many hidden treasures to find!

I PURCHASED THIS SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY GAME FOR MY GRANDSON. HE CALLED TO TELL ME IT WAS DELIVERED. HE STARTED PLAYING THE GAME AND TOLD ME HE WAS HAVING FUN AND REALLY LIKED THE GAME. I GUESS I WILL BE GETTING A FEW MORE OF THESE GAMES IN THE FUTURE.

All I can say to this game is wow. It reminds me of Mario galaxy, but lot more challenging. I love the puzzles in the game. It's not like the original Mario's but it is a must have game. The hype of this game was spot on. I love the fact you can change into bullet Bob, a kopua trooper, and other intresting characters.

It’s hard to put into words how great this game ... I mean adventure is! Hours and hours of gameplay even after you complete the final stage. Controls are like butter and the graphics are sharp vibrant and colorful. I never thought I see the day Super Mario 64 can be topped and that day has come. Must buy for anyone!
