Over the years, I’ve spent more time playing Super Mario Bros than probably any other game I own. The classsic NES Game has been my go to and from time to time, I still find something new. I’ve been trying to beat the speed record for as long as I can remember and it’s still just as much fun today as it was the first time I played it. Now comes along Odyssey. This game is by far as much fun to play and enjoyable as Super Mario Bros. The graphics and sound are spot on, the gameplay is smooth and I’ve been addicted to it the above other great games out right now because of the fun factor it delivers. The kids are hooked and enjoy the modern feel it brings. I highly recommend this to anybody who remembers the old days. You won’t be disappointed.

Seriously, they did right by fans with this one. Its still easy but with its challenging moments to keep you engaged, colorful as ever, family friendly, and content heavy to keep you playing for hours and hours.

This game is far less frustrating than the previous 3D Mario games. Most of the moons (This games "stars" or main collectable) are accessable as soon as you enter a new world so you dont get "stuck" on a single level unable to advance. There are also may more collectables throughout and the coins are now actually used as currency and are not just a meaningless "score." Mario has a magnificient new move set with his new partner Cappy. Allowing Mario to jump further and more creatively than ever before, but requires some practice to execute reliably. Overall 10/10 - you wont regret it if you are a fan of Mario games

Although I haven't put many hours into it, the game exceeded my expectations. The graphics are truly amazing and I love every world. I really enjoy the options they give you for platforming and exploring the levels.

Super Mario Odyssey on the Nintendo Switch is phenomenal. The graphics are crisp, the character animations are fluid, and the game runs at a consistent 60 frames per second. The new gameplay mechanic of using your hat as a weapon and temporarily possessing NPC's to creatively reach goals is very fun. Being awarded Power Moons for your efforts and the little animation that Mario does never gets old. The only gripe I have is that while not "required", some moves can only be done with the JoyCons removed and in your hands a-la Wiimotes. This makes portable play in handheld mode a bit more challenging, but it's still a blast. A definite must-have for any Mario fan and really anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch.

I already had the digital copy of this game. I knew I needed a physical copy because I loved it so much. I never thought I'd love a Mario game as much as I love super Mario 64 but it's official! I think I might love this game even more. Somehow this game gave a fresh feel to Mario. All there is to say about this game is buy it. Honestly if you have a switch you have to get this game. Plus the collectable coin I got with the game was really awesome. I set up a display for it right next to my autographed Don Frye glove. Lol. This is the type of game that I know I'll keep going back to. The graphics are beautiful and gameplay is smooth. It's not too easy, not too difficult. It's really just perfect. Thanks Best Buy! Bought this for my son for Christmas so I have t actually played it yet. But as far as shipping speed and the order process everything was perfect. Super fast delivery

I saw trailers for it and instantly wanted to cop it. Game’s pretty fun and it’s a nice take on open word Mario game.

I don't like throwing around the term Masterpiece, yet Nintendo has pulled off what I see as two in the year of 2017, first with Legend of Zelda, and now with Super Mario Oddysey for the Switch. There aren't many games that cater to two very different levels of skill at the same time, but Oddysey has mechanics and level design that teach new gamers that are easy to learn, yet mixed in throughout the same levels, are methods of traversal for the likes of Speed Runners and hardcore Mario fans. The crazy thing is that nearly all of Marios moves, simple and advanced, are done using just two action buttons. The game is as beautiful and zany as it is fun. Join in and meet Mario's new pal Cappy, and save Peach from Bowser and his nefarious nuptuals. LOL

This is the perfect spiritual successor to Mario 64. Everything about this game is near flawless. The only thing I wish Nintendo added to it was a difficulty setting. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Mario games.

This game is amazing. If you own a switch, Buy this game. Mario’s hat added such a cool new element to the gameplay. It is awesome possessing other characters in the game. Controls feel similar to breath of the wild.

If you are a fan of 3d marios, you will love this game. A ton of collectibles and great environments. Boss battles are great too, but they often are over too early. This game really doesn't get challenging until you get to the end game after defeating Bowser.. However the main story is enjoyable, albeit easy. The end game is where the truly challenging platforming takes place as new worlds open up as you collect moons. However its still a moderate challenge compared to other platformers.

Another yet awesome purchase. Highly recommend buying this product.

As usual super Mario is a blast to play! It's a really beautiful game with a fun story. Cappy and all the different outfits make it a great time to play by myself or with someone else if they want to control Cappy.

Great game. Super fun and exciting. It reminds me of Mario 64, it takes me back to those days. The soundtrack is awesome. You won’t be disappointed with this pick up. Love it!

I've never really been a huge Mario fan (don't dislike the games, just never felt the need to play them) and have never really played any of the 3D titles but I really enjoyed this game. It's a good combination of easy but fun platforming for the main progression and a ton of side and post-game exploration and challenging stuff to collect for folks that are into that. My only real gripe that tempted me to give it 4 stars is that chucks of what you can collect is double locked so you can't just clear each area as you have to go and need to go back once you've beaten the game to fully complete an area. That's probably a good thing for most people though and is more of a personal hangup so I don't think it's worth docking the game a star.

Earlier this year, we were blessed with Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch. It was an unbelievable take on one of favorite franchises and easily a game of the year nominee (I still play it regularly today). Never in my wildest dreams did I think that in the Switch's first year, I would be saying the same thing about Mario, another one of my favorite series. This game is a masterpiece. It is so much fun, so well done, and provides some serious competition to Zelda in the GOTY race. Highly recommended to everyone. Also, it is a game that is absolutely amazing to play both on your TV and in handheld mode. Some games I find more fun in one of those modes vs. the other, but Odyssey has been just as enjoyable either way you play it.

Mario Odyssey is a wonderful game that will be remembered for years to come. Every time a new 3d Mario comes out, it always seems to be era-defining but I think odyssey is even more so than the others. The new method of movement introduced is one if the best in Mario history and it really benefits from the open world genre. I every nook and every cranny there is a secret to be found and not a second is boring. It's is truly one of the best games of all time.
