In only a few hours of playing, I am already convinced that this might be one of the best Mario games ever made. It feels in many ways like Mario 64, with numerous Power Moons to collect in each world (similar to the stars in 64). Nintendo keeps doing what they've been doing for years in taking what they've learned from previous games and adding new and exciting gameplay surprises around every corner. The final task in New Donk City is one of the most enjoyable (although not difficult) moments of any Mario game recently. If you have a Switch, you should have this game.

One of my favorite games for the Switch. Tied for game of the year with Zelda - Breath of the Wild. Easy game to play. Fun for hours. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my nephew before getting it myself. I was hooked! This game makes you think, logically thinking as well as experimenting different ways to explore. I beat the entire game in 1 week. But this was just that, completing the game is much longer as there are many stars in each world that needs to be found and some are very well hidden. If you like adventure game and if like me you grew up with Mario 64- then you will enjoy this game.

You can play this as one player or two player. If two player, one player plays as Mario and the second player plays as Cappy (his hat). This is one of the first games I've played that where it makes good use of the Joy Cons, where I prefer the Joy Cons over the Pro Controller. I think it's really creative how they implemented movements of the Joy Cons with buttons to create actions in the games. For me, this game was a lot like Super Mario Galaxy on the Nintendo Wii, which I loved. This game offers fun, entertaining 3D gameplay.

I must admit, I am not a huge fan of The Nintendo Switch. I think it has a place in the console spectrum but just doesn’t really cause me to stop what I’m doing and play it. However, with the release of Super Mario Odyssey, I have picked up my Switch and have been playing the game a lot. In true Mario form, Nintendo has hit a home run with all the fun you can have exploring the worlds and the different characters you can morph into using your “cappy” friend. I am really enjoying this and would highly recommend this game to any Switch fan and or any Nintendo/Mario fan!

If you have a Switch, you must buy this game immediately, its so beatiful with lots of references to past games, inmense, so much to collect, get ready!

Bought the Switch just so we could play Mario Odyssey and it didn't disappoint. Its a great game, love the story lines and the old Mario scenes mixed in.

Mario Odyssey is just an incredible game. It takes me back to being a kid while playing it. Great controls and fun, well developed levels. A must buy.

Had it a few days now and no one in my family can’t put it down. Nintendo did a great job designing this mario title. Plenty of stuff to keep you busy.

One of a couple games in my Switch library. Fun game that can be challenging and rewarding. Highly praised from many gamers as one of the great games on the new platform. I had fun exploring the worlds. The main campaign is pretty easy to beat, but the game challenges you to go back in the worlds and find all the moons, and other collectibles in the game. It has a nice bit of nostalgia for the gamers who were around for Super Mario 64, but it is also welcoming to newer gamers. Would recommend! Make sure you grab the 3 Wedding Themed Mario Amiibo for costumes!

Great game for Nintendo switch. Would definitely recommend it as one of the better games.

This game is a lot of fun. Would recommend to any MARIO fan. Hours worth of enjoyment. Lots of little things to find. Love being the dinosaur also!!

Mario is back and better than ever in a fun original 3D and sometimes 2D adventure. The game is easy to play and not super challenging but loads of fun.

This game is one of the better Mario games to come out recently. The controls are fluid and the hat system is a lot of fun to try. Definitely recommend.

SMO is a great game! It is super fun and addicting! There is plenty to do to keep this game going. I really like the "open world" feel this game gives!

This game is great. The controls handle well and are responsive. This game has so many secrets to discover it make you want to play it again and again.

One of the most amazing 3D platformers I have played to date. The last Mario game I played was over 22 years ago on my old SNES, so I had huge expectations for this game. Having skipped the Wii and the Wii U, I was quite intrigued by the Switch and picked one up with this game in tow. I am truly impressed by both the Switch and this game. I ended up playing this game for over 100 hours in a 2 week span, it is that good. Excellent graphics, outstanding music and brilliant game play. This along with Zelda is a must have for the switch.
