My kids love it! It has a lot of games to play with the family.

Fun game. Better with friends playing multiplayer. The minigames are good and adapted well for switch. Not a ton of playability for single player.

Mario Party for the Switch is a fun addition. I haven't played since the Gamecube versions but I've enjoyed this update. The unique character dice, along with the partner system to use their dice block was pretty cool. The mini games are (as always) very interesting and fun. The new mode River Rapids mode was a lot of fun and a great change of pace to the traditional board game mode. 2 things I don't like- 1.) As you'll see over and over again in reviews, there's only 4 boards and they are small. I also wish the cost of stars was a little more expensive, especially because coins are now given out for second and third place winners of mini games. It's way too easy to be flush with coins. 2.) The menus are unnecessarily clunky. For whatever reason, you can't just select what mode you want. You have to actually have your character walk to the station of the mode you want to play. Want to change characters? You have to go all the way back to the beginning. Just weird. Overall I really like the game but I'm quite surprised there hasn't been any updates to it yet with more content (it's march 2019 and it's still on software version 1.0). Yes, I would recommend to a friend but probably not for $60. This is a $40 game as is, unless an update comes out for it

Mario Party returns for it's 11th installment. Not the biggest fan personally; but, my wife has been a long time fan. If you're a sore loser or expect a game that's fair stay away. Hurt feelings are as part of the mechanics of this game as rolling the dice. If you like board games you'll love it. If you like platformers or racing games definitely look elsewhere,
