I still need to understand the game. It's a little frustrating. LOL

So I was really excited about this game until I realized they didn't change much of anything from back in the 90's. It still fun but I wish I wouldn't've paid full price

This game was a big disappointment… we probably should have done more research on how the game was, we were hoping for more of the actual old school Mario game but it’s more of a story that you go through, we bought this with the switch for our kids for Christmas…. Our first game system… anyway we hoped to return it but found out that you can’t return opened games which I guess I understand… at the end of the day do your research and make sure you understand what you are getting before you open anything.

I really don’t like this game i like the more traditional super mario games I should not have opened it now i cant return it

Super Mario RPG is an amazing game. This review is specifically about my interaction with Best Buy. I called the local number to the store which is on the other side of town to check for the availability of the item. The local number transferred me to India where a woman called the local store to verify the availability, saying "It should be there?" The corners cut by Best Buy are disgusting.

"Very bad service! The game was supposed to be delivered on November 17th and it wasn't! Today is December 3rd and I haven't received the game."

This was the most boring game. Even a 4 year old would be bored with it.

As someone who has played the original on the SNES many years ago, this remake is easily 10/10. Captures everything from it and the additional super combo ability you get adds another layer of depth to the combat that was not present in the original. Combat is much better in the remake. Trying to block enemy attacks is now much easier and more intuitive. Also, giving the ability to figure out weaknesses and immunities to damage types is also a very welcome change. The updated graphics and cutscenes that exist are also very good. For those wondering, yes you can still beat the sword with Geno in about 30 seconds. If you were a fan of the original, grab this. You will not be disappointed.

A classic remastered for older and newer generations.

Please ignore the people that feel they should mislead someone wanting to read reviews to see if the product is worth a purchase. For some reason they feel this is the place to voice there disappointment in the store and not actually just speak about the product. This game is great! Without all the whining about preorders that should be taken up with customer service and not here this game would have a 5 star review.

Watching my wife play one of my favorite childhood games (that was never released in the UK) made Christmas this year extra magical! I know there are already loads of remakes and remasters out now aiming to tug on nostalgia heart strings but this one hits different. You can definitely tell the developers grew up with this beloved RPG because playing through the game you can feel the love and care that went into recapturing the magic from playing it for the first time in the 90's. Highly Recommended; even if you've played the entire game dozens of times like I have.

Its just as good as the original. Im thankful they didnt change the music. If you liked the snes version youd enjoy this.

I love the original and the remake, one thing nintendo does is make amazing remakes of the older version. Keep up the great work! Nintendo! Wah hoooo!

Can you guys not rate the game because its “late” its childish and has nothing to do how good the game is. This game is amazing and definitely will be another classic.

BEST MARIO RPG game!!! This was my first play through, I grew up knowing about this game but never got a chance to actually play it. I am a huge final fantasy fan and I love that SQUARE at the time had created this masterpiece. I’m glad they didn’t change much of original! Must play for Mario and RPG fans. And for anyone who loves Mario games.

Mario and friends get a revisited adventure for a mostly 1-for-1 adventure remade for the Nintendo switch from the classic Super Mario RPG! Lots of quality of life and clean up to help without changing too much, while it can be a bit too easy, there's a harder post game and lots of things to enjoy! Hope there's a sequel in this vein!
