MUST HAVE!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What maybe the most anticipated game of 2008 has finally arrived. The game uses the wii mote and the game cube controller. The Wii mote does get taking use to but you will learn fast. The game has a TONE of unlockables and will keep you busy for days maybe even weeks. There are new stages and new characters for you to explore. You don't have to go through challenges to find the specific player that you want to play with, you can try the adventure mode which is a lot more faster. You can play with up to four players on of offline but its really hard to tell with such a great game. The combat style hasn't really changed but there is a smash orb which will unleash a characters final attack. This is everything that melee was jammed into an even greater game that will keep you satisfied for a long time.

BadButt Game!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is really fun with anyone who has or does not have much free time. For every minute of game play you will get that same with each hour and more playing it! The characters are so fun, each are so different and unique.

Great Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this game and I think that everyone should get it. It adds a bunch of new things such as character specific signature moves (smash balls), a MUCH better story mode, and masterpieces (original Nintendo games like the first Zelda or Donkey Kong). It is a great game to play with a bunch of people and if you are playing single player then you can play the Subspace Emissary. I personally do not think that this game should be rated T for teen because the only bad thing in it is fighting and some brief scenes during the Subspace Emissary. Overall the game was great and I would recommend it to almost anyone.

Awsome game play
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is really great. Mainly this game teaches you about each character know it or not. This game also tells you where each character comes from. This game also lets you play video games made by other people. Also this game lets you vs people around the world. You play adventure mode this game will show you where the character comes from and how they fit in this game. This game is mainly strategy and prediction. You can also take pictures of your character and record your best time playing. Their is only one bad thing about this game. If you disconnect the will mot pause, the game will keep on going.

The game is fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a lot of fun and a good family game. Free battle mode is really fun. What we don't like is the characters are so small compared to other fighting games. This was disappointing. Also the game is a little confusing when trying to pick different modes. I am used to playing many fighting and battling games so it is not like I am not used to the way these are made or how to route through them. Once you are picking chararcters and fighting with them the game is a lot of fun and it is awesome being able to pick characters from so many different games. That is half the fun. Then being able to get power ups from all different types of characters regardless of what story franchise they come from adds to the excitement. I would have given the game 4 stars if they had made the charatcers larger on the screen. Whole family enjoys it.

Wii Must-Have
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gameplay: Brawl is arguably a bit more simple to play than Melee, when it comes down to the attacks. This is partly because of the removal of glitches/exploits/certain tactics. No longer will you have to practice wavedashing if you want to challenge somebody who knows it, and in my eyes that is very good. In Brawl, you can play with four different controllers (GameCube controller, which is still best, Classic Controller, and Wii Remote both with and without the Nunchuk), and customize your control scheme completely. I like to play with the default setting for the GC controller, but this new feature is awesome, and will let anyone have an easier time playing. What is so great about Smash is that all attacks are so incredibly easy to pull off, with only a button press and a control stick movement needed - at most - for every attack. This makes the game easy to play, easy to learn, and of course very fun. Story: The only story in this game is in the form of The Subspace Emissary, the new Adventure mode. While the story is simple and unimpressive, it's presented with incredibly beautiful cutscenes. It's sad that these cutscenes are the best thing of The Subspace Emissary, then, because the gameplay of this mode is generally boring, repetitive and at most times frustrating due to some of the most annoying enemies in video game history. It is, in fact, the only true weak point of the game. Graphics: The best on Wii. Period. All characters are animated perfectly, and are full of life. Every character has his or her own, unique looks and great animations. The stages are the same, with pretty much every stage looking very good. Effects from items, attacks and the likes also look like they should, and there is pretty much no slow-down during the regular game (this is an issue in online). All in all, the graphics are very impressive and pretty much perfectly done, and it's just amazing that this has been done exclusively on the Wii. Sound: Nintendo have put together an amazing number of music tracks - remixes, old classics and recent originals are all put together for one of the greatest video game soundtracks ever, and every stage has close to 10 different tracks that will play - all of which you can decide the frequency of. Sadly, not all is well with the sound, because some characters' voice acting is downright horribly cringe-worthy. Pit and Pokemon Trainer, for example, both have ridiculously bad voice samples that should never have appeared in such an otherwise wonderfully presented game. The announcer has some of the same issues, and seems to have difficulties pronouncing basic English words such as "break" and "survival". Still, I'm not gonna complain so much about the sound, when the music clearly weighs up for it. Replayability: It takes about 8 hours to play through the Adventure mode, which is actually impressive, seeing as it's such a small part of the game. The versus mode ("Brawl") and the online mode are probably what will keep you occupied the most - if Super Smash Bros. Melee had you hooked, there are no words to describe how addicted you will be to this game. It has a huge replay value which is multiplied even further when you add some friends into the mix for some multiplayer action. Still, even when playing alone, there are tons of challenges for you to try and keep you occupied for quite some time. Conclusion: I've brought up some bad points about Brawl - mainly the Adventure mode, which kind of stinks. I also mentioned the voice acting for some characters and some lag problems in the online mode (which is otherwise well made). However, I believe that since The Subspace Emissary is such a small part of the game, it shouldn't pull down the score a lot, since the rest of the game is pretty much a flawless, incredibly fun experience. I recommend it to any Nintendo fan that owns a Wii - and if you don't own one, get hold of one as soon as possible, because you're probably going to want this game anyway. Game of the Year 2008? Yes. Yes, I think it will be.

The nintendo wii was sold more throughout the world and so far this is the worlds best selling game.Gears of war and X-Box 360 , you can beat the PS3 but u cant beat Brawl and Nintendo Wii

awsome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy this game, i've had it for a long time and it never seems to stop being fun. I did like Melee a little more myself just because it seems a little less hectic but you know what insanity is bliss sometimes. Basically this game is awesome and i'm upset to find out that some people are giving it bad reviews for graphics... i'm almost positive (someone correct me if i'm wrong) but I don't think any games for the wii have been in realistic or hd graphics. You can't say anything about the graphics in this game because the wii is going for family fun not the graphical experience. Plus the graphics are pretty darn good for those cute little cartoon characters. :P

Everything in one little package
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo Super smash brothers brawl is the best game on the nintendo wii. It's almost every nintendo character in one game though there are a few characters I wish was on there. Nintendo made many adjustments to this game so it's a lot different from the original super smash brother on the gamecube. Too bad the only way to unlock more characters is in the single mode. The controls are fairly easy but it's kind of hard to play it with the joystick, I just use the wiimote by turning it sideways and play like any other game. Overall I love this game, all my friend always want to play it whenever I invite then over for dinner.

Fun to play for hours!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There really isn't anything negative I can think to say about this game, I absolutely love it! The story line is interesting. I love how many characters there are. At one point I thought, "Oh no I'm about to beat the game!" but suddenly there was a great twist and it was like starting all over only more difficult. A+ in my book!

Great game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game, not for the casual gamer, there's more nuances hidden below the surface for teh control scheme. Can be great fun but only if you put in the effort to get experienced. At times the action is way too fast against the AI, with items dropping in so fast that rounds will aslt 7 seconds and you'll win not understanding why. Multiplayer local (not online) is gerat fun, even for button mashers its a good time, but online slows down the action frequently. A single slow connection accross four systems linked online will slow them alll down to match, characters float around the screen in super slo mo and a lot of the fun is lost when this happens. All in alll good game, best when played at parties!

simply smashing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought this was a great new Smash Brothers game, it definitely did justice to an amazing series. The new characters they chose to add were wonderful choices. My only complaint is that it doesn't use the wii controls at all, I had hoped that it would. I guess in the end the lack of wii controls is not really too much of a loss because most people prefer the gamecube controllers anyways. All in all however this is an amazing fighting game and great fun for you and all of your friends.

worth the wait
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably my favorite Wii game. Pros: More characters than Melee, More stages than Melee (you even can create your own stage), More Items which means more fun, Fun story mode Cons: Graphic aren't as great as the other good games (Halo 3 and Metal Gear Solid 4 have better graphics) Graphics are really good on this game though. This is defiantly a must buy Wii game.

This is THE WII game!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Without "dissing" the other great Wii games, (Metroid Prime 3, etc. etc.) SSBB is THE GAME to have if you're going to buy a Wii, or if you already have one. Very simple, pickup & play mechanics. Graphics are top notch. If you consider their online play a concern,(because it is a little wonky & outdated!) don't worry! This game MORE than makes up for it in their gameplay! If you just got into gaming, or an "old schooler", this game has evrything you can remember from the storied past of Nintendo & them some! So pick up this game & hold on tight! You won't regret it!
