Super Smash Bros. is always a fun time with friends on a couch. The game doesn't really do too much that Brawl and Melee on the Wii and Gamecube didn't do, so if you aren't a big fan of this series I wouldn't buy a Wii U for the game. That being said, it still is a fun game for the same reasons the previous two games are fun, so if you have a Wii U I would recommend this game. There are fun stages, characters (Villager is my favorite, personally) and you can play with up to eight players! So I would recommend this game, especially if you've never played a Smash game before, but it isn't really a groundbreaking game.

Releases for the Wii U have been few and far between, but Nintendo has really outdone itself when it comes to Super Smash Brothers Wii U. The game has a ton of characters, several of which are unlockable, and is a lot of fun to play with up to 8 players. I have only played with a total of four players, but can describe the on screen action as strategic chaos. At no time did I feel like I lost track of my character on screen, and that is probably due to the beautiful graphics. The move to HD has really put this old favorite over the top. One note is, in order to play with friends and family, you may want to buy the Wii U Gamecube adapter that connects multiple gamecube type controllers. Luckily, I save all of my gaming hardware and still had the original controllers in my cabinet!

Just a fun game to enjoy with friends at home or even online. Can get very competitive but can be played for kicks too. I found the new smash tour mode great fun with people at home. I wish there was online option since playing with computers doesn't provide much challenge (or fun). But great game with great amount of characters to enjoy for all.

Smash Bros has always been one of the finest Nintendo series since the N64 original. I believe this version to be the best yet. It has over 50 characters now with more on the way (DLC) and will entertain for hours...if you have friends. If you have no friends or family, the games pretty boring but with others it's top tier (=^_^=)

Great multiplayer fighting game, a lot of fun for a group.

This game is absolutely fantastic. Remember that annoying random tripping mechanic in Brawl? That's gone. Remember some characters being incredibly unbalanced? That's gone. Remember that awful 480i/p resolution? That's gone. Nintendo really outdid themselves with this game. It's BEAUTIFUL. The gameplay feels tighter than ever and the controls (if you use the GC controller) are extremely familiar. You can also do 8 player smash on a single console. Here's the breakdown on what quantities of controllers can be used. (Note that these controllers can be used in ANY combination up to 8 total) ○Wii U GamePad (Max 1) ○Wii Remote or Wii Remote Plus* (Max 7) [requires nunchuck or classic controller] ○Wii U Pro Controller (Max 7) ○Nintendo GameCube controller** (Max 8) [requires 2 controller adapters] ○Nintendo 3DS series system*** (Max 8) [requires Smash Bros for 3DS] I have already played using every control option except for the Wiimote. Everything it intuitive and easy to use. I cannot recommend this game highly enough. As a diehard fan of Smash (especially Melee) I would put this game at number 1.

When does Nintendo make bad games? The answer is very rarely! Smash Bros. has always been good, but the last few games have really split up the fan base. This game may not stop people from choosing to like the older games but I think there's enough in this game that appeals to both sides of the Smash Bros. community!

I have played over 50 hours of this game and am still very far from doing and collecting everything in this game. All-Star, Classic, Smash Tour, Target Smash, and a great online experience are only some of the many modes available to play in it. Plus, with 8-Player Smash, it is a game I will never get bored with.

This is probably the best Smash Bros. game since the first one. Great balance, great character list, plenty of different modes, smooth online play, and tons of things to unlock. If you're a fan of the series or just enjoy a good party game to play with friends online or off, this game is a must.

So much fun is in this game. I've been playing Smash games since the very first one, but I believe this takes the cake as the best one to date. With or without friends, this game is a blast and it'll keep you entertained for a long time. Love the way the amiibos work with the game, too.

If you've played previous Super Smash Brothers games you know what to expect! Fun quick fighting game with lots of characters.

This game has tons and tons of content. You'll be playing it for years to come. The gameplay is great, the controls feel good, the different modes are fun, online works great, and is perfect for competitive play. The only thing it lacks is more options and freedom in online play.

This is a great upgrade from the original Super Smash Bros. The Wii U version has great graphics, is very fast, and has tons of awesome characters to fight with. (However, we do miss the Snake and Ice Climbers characters... perhaps Nintendo can add them as DLC).

This is one of the best smash bros games I have played in a long time along with some classic levels from melee and brawl! the action is fast and fierce, and 8 man smash just puts the game over the top! this is easily one of the bst games for the Wii U!

My boys absolutely love this game. They enjoy the challenge of battling the vast variety of different characters. As a mom, I like that they can play up to 7 players! So the only "fighting" taking place in my house is within Smash Bros. video game.

If you tough that brawl was a letdown give yourself another chance and play this game, they totally outdid themselves, a lot of trophies, collectibles and the great gameplay youll come to expect from Smash, and did i need to say 8 player battles!!!

Best Smash Bros ever. Everything from the graphics to the roster to the level design is top notch. You can also use virtually any controller available including the Gamecube if you have the right adapter. This is a must have for any Wii U owner.

This is such a great game. My brothers and I enjoy playing it a lot. We get so excited each time we play because there are some many great players to choose from. We go on and on with endless battles and go all out. This is a must have!

Ive bought and played every Smash bros and this one is just as awesome as the previous iterations. I love deep gameplay that makes you think but sometimes you just want to smash stuff. I cant speak highly enough on how fun this is.

I bought this for my kids. They love this game. I play it with them, and I really like it too. If you have a Wii U and you don't have this game, well, what are you waiting for... Go out and get it. It's a blast.
