I got this right after finally getting a switch - it was exactly the combination of nostalgia and “new” that I was hoping it’d be. Great party game when so few new games have local multiplayer

This smash is really amazing, the roster is great, the gameplay feels great and the modes are well varied. The story mode, World of Light, is very terrible. Don't bother playing it, it is very boring and there are faster ways to to unlock characters and play the game. It makes the entire game seem bad, when it is already this one mode. Everything else is amazing.

I been waiting for this game for a long time. so many characters, so much to do. love this game. a must buy.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is simply one of the best fighting games I have ever played. Whether you're a huge fan of the franchise or are mildly interested in this game because it includes a character you like, I guarantee you will find a great deal to enjoy here. Every previous Smash Bros. game has been reviewed highly, but this is the best in the series by a long shot - every character feels balanced and playable. Every stage feels new and fun. There are dozens of separate options and unique features to make this the best fighting game for you - I personally love playing on Stamina Battle with Charging Final Smashes, as it feels the most like a traditional fighting game in that mode, but there are hundreds of other ways to play. It’s ridiculously hard for me to put Ultimate down, and that’s something I haven’t said about a Smash game, well, ever. I can't find any flaws in this game - that alone should tell you how good it is. And, if you needed just that extra push to buy a Nintendo Switch, I’d like to mention that this isn’t just the best Smash Bros. game in recorded history, but it’s also portable. That's right - you can play it anywhere. Spend a little money for online play, and you'll never get anything done with your life. It'll be the best problem you ever had.

This game is really well made there are more characters to choose from than you know what to do with. I played World of Light on Normal and some Battles are ridiculously challenging to a point where it feels like RNG rewards you with a victory just for persevering and sticking to a fight.

I had the 3DS version, and I can promise you there's far more improvements than not. A few minor things are annoying, but you get so many options for other characters and new stages that it's hard to complain about any one thing. Overall, this game has been super fun whether I'm playing alone or with my sister. I can tell we're going to be spending a lot of time on this. Worth the money, in my opinion.

The World of Light game is fun, and the characters are fun to play around with and try now different techs.

I played Smash Brothers at my friend's place when it first came out on N64 but never owned the game. Played a few other ones on Gamecube and DS. I was soooo pumped when this was announced! Not many times have I said a game is worth every penny paid, but this is DEFINITELY one of them. Starting with the original N64 characters and being able to unlock all the others, and levels, I totally got to re-live my childhood. Plus the graphics are incredible!

My kids loved the game, it is a little bit harder for my younger kids but my bigger kids seem to enjoy it.

Unbelievable amount of content in this game and easy to play, despite the variety of moves and characters.

It is an exciting game and my daughter plays it everyday. I won the best mom award for bringing it home.

Every character ever in one game. Also a perfect balance between melee speed and smash 4 combat. Must buy!

Might just be my favorite Smash game to date. It has all returning characters and a lot of newcomers (like the highly requested Ridley and King K. Rool), 103 stages, over 850 songs, a new adventure mode and all new bosses! This game is just amazing. This game also has a lot of brand new gameplay mechanics that seperates it from any previous Smash game. It is quite the bang for your buck, especially in this era of microtransactions and day one DLC.

Chock full of content, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is an outstanding game for newcomers and veterans alike.

Lots of characters to choose from and a very diverse set of movements and attacks bring very nice gameplay
