The game it is what it is it's the biggest smash Bros game ever. People don't like it because it doesn't have the characters they wanted because some assist characters they wanted as playable ones. You can't please everybody. You can still use your GameCube controllers to play if you have the adapter like I do. Good game it's a big game. Good single player

Everyone loves it, you love it, I love it. Its Smash, the game has a very lengthy campaign mode as well as so many fighters and optional DLC characters as well. Great for anyone of any age that enjoys fighting games, and they have so many characters from across Nintendo there's sure to be one everyone loves.

This is the quintessential fighting game for anybody who loves all things Nintendo. It includes fighters and references from countless platforms in the gaming universe and features a lengthy one-player mode to occupy your time between Smash sessions. The online mode is a bit laggy at times, but future patches will hopefully smooth out some of the bugs.

Amazing game for the Switch. Classic game in a classic series. Default controller is terrible as is the system but if you have access to the system, this game and a better controller are needed.

This game hits the sweet spot of Melee speed of play and depth of just about any fighter game out there. The World of light single player adventure mode gets a bad wrap, but to be honest for anyone not an avid Smash fan, its just an addition that everyone else will probably like. Especially those who like to play on their own more than with friends.

This game has been so much fun. I remember the first smash, and really haven't played many of the others. When I picked up the switch I had pre-ordered this game the moment it was announced. I've had a blast playing thus far. The online game play has been a little laggy - but playing with friends at home have been a blast. A great party game.

Nice update to a cherished franchise. Has all characters that have ever been in the game. Plays decently but you want to stay away from using the JoyCons if you intend to be serious with the game. I actually prefer the PowerA wired controller because the sticks have a longer throw to allow for more precise control (attack, tilt, smash).

If you have never played a Smash Brothers game, then you are in for a treat. The Every man/women for themselves battle royal fighting game is back and better then ever. This really is the ultimate version! Every level, every character, every item ever used in a smash game is here..and then some! I can’t tell you how much fun my family and I are having beating the snot out if each other with this colorful cast of characters. From Mario, to Zelda, jigglypuff, and beyond there is a character for every member of your family to get good with and enjoy. I could go on and on about the options in this game and just how big it is. But you can read a millions reviews that go over all that. Don’t forget while it has online play so you can battle vs others world wide you WILL NEED the Nintendo online service which is far cheaper then the competition. $20 a year..or get a yearly family membership that covers up to 5 users fir $35. It’s well worth it if you like go play vs others....you also get a bunch of old NES games to play as part of the deal. Anyway, smash brothers is a blast and highly recommended for a fun time with all ages of family and friends.

The game has plenty of content. I personally like the overall feel much more than Smash 4 or Brawl being a bit faster. The buffer is kind of a pain and feels really sluggish at first. I eventually got used to it... The online is...eh like usual. I'm hoping we get some overall QoL fixes for it to increase the overall input lag.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a smashing entry into the well-established cross-over fighting franchise, that with the success of this game, isn't tagging out anytime soon. Smash is a game about hitting things, and this game changes a few things up with the Core Gameplay. The pure fighting mechanic is one of the best things about this game, bringing back old things and bringing some new things to the potluck of Smash. Firstly, the Directional Air-Dodge from Super Smash Bros. Melee is here, which makes recovering just a tad easier than in previous games. Next, something the internet lost it's head over, the Balloon Knockback. Essentially meaning that as soon as you're hit, you go flying at top speeds and then gradually slow down when you're further away from your starting point. In my opinion, this just feels better, and makes more sense than the originals. They feel like they have more weight to them now.
