It's smash. Just buy it, it's not going anywhere and is always a solid purchase for friend groups. Just make sure you have enough controllers.

i have hundreds of hours in this. tons of polish, huge cast, amazing fun couch co-op party game with friends. world of light may be way too long and repetitive, but it's a fun twist to combine story mode with the old events mode.

My kids love playing this game, and the adults love it too! Fun fighting game action that's not too intense (for the young ones) and not too difficult (for the unexperienced ones), but has plenty of things to master (for the rest of us).

There's no other way to play. This game is the definitive smash bros experience. The game has a lot to offer whether you're a casual player or a hardcore smash player. This game is well balanced and nearly perfect in every way.

I purchased this game to play with my daughter and it’s a lot of fun! The only thing I don’t like is that she’s kicking my behind in this game! But with all the hours I’m putting in, I hope to turn the tide soon!

teally fun and entertaining great bonding game with friends or family

This game absolutely saved me from the long round-trip flight time to LA to Chicago. The graphics and processing speed alone were amazing! I was incredibly surprised that I unlock my favorite character Ryu from Street Fighter.

Great game with lots to explore for completionists (specifically, spirits). The game comes with 70+ characters and a lot of Stages, so normal smash mode can incorporate a lot of variables. The physics of the game is somewhat like melee (which still has tournaments), but certain restrictions (such as bit being able to move when shooting specific items) have been lifted. There's also a techniques section which lacks some details but explains advances techniques adequately (such as short hop, meteor smash, etc). Nintendo added a "spirits" system which adds some complexity to the story mode, but not many people touch the spirits outside of story mode. Currently, it has 1300+ spirits, where the story mode gets you About half that number. A lot of work is necessary for completing the spirits.

Great game to pass time with the family or by yourself.

I've been playing the SSB franchise since the beginning. Every game is getting better and better. I missed the single player campaign that was skipped on the Wii U/3Ds, but the World of Light makes playing by yourself a ton of fun. Game-play mechanics haven't changed much, so it's easy for vets and newcomers to pick up and learn. The roster for the game is larger than its ever been, while also bringing back some familiar faces, Roy from FE and Pichu and Mewtwo from Pokemon. The maps are fun and interactive. Overall, the best Smash Bros title to release. The ONLY issue I have is I've seen multiple occasions of where playing in Classic/All Star mode as Piranha Plant (A DLC character) will wipe the data of the game and make you COMPLETELY start over. Hopefully Nintendo can get this fixed soon!

Really love mario games so i decided to get thid and i love it. Havent planned smash bros since the gamecube days

This is one of those must have games that you can pick up and play nonstop. I started off playing the GameCube version when I was a kid and ever since then I’ve been a huge fan. My brothers and I would play the game all day just enjoying the sheer chaos and the extensive cast of colorful, unique characters! It’s in the same tier as Mortal Kombat in the sense that it really is just iconic and overall well built. While it may appear to be simple, the combat is very layered albeit easy to understand. Buy this for your kids and even your adult friends with a Nintendo. They will never forgot this gift much like I never forgot my brother buying us a PlayStation 4! Have fun.

One of the best games on the switch. Probably the best multiplayer experience on the platform. If you have a big family or have a bunch of nerdy friends this is a great time.

While you could literally battle all your friends? Why not just battle them on the switch? Super smash Brothers a classic! Now Revamped for the Nintendo switch! Let me tell you I’ve put hours in this game already it’ll have you running back for more with its nostalgic and addicting gameplay! You won’t wanna put your switch controller back down!

Honestly, you can never go wrong with Smash. Fun to play solo as much as it is to play online or local multiplayer. It gets more exciting as you start unlocking all the fighters.

More Smash than before and the visuals are great. Gameplay modes are full of fun features that keep things interesting. The roster of fighters is impressive and feels pretty well balanced. No doubt, a top title for the Switch.

Awesome cast of characters, levels are fun and it's good looking. Can get very hectic with 4 players, full items and moving levels and at times I lose track of where I'm at. Single player is very fun, classic mode is great for N64 fans like me. Spirit mode is ok, but a little motonous. Online play was a bit of a letdown at launch, but it seems fixes are slowly coming. Patch notes are very vague and don't do a great job explaining changes. I get the feeling that developers did not realize Online would be the main thing people were wanting and did not build around that mode. I think gamers have come to expect an online experience core with single player secondary but you get the opposite with this game. I hope changes continue to come out to make online play the robust experience it should be.
