The characters are not unlocked so you have to beat them to make them playable, similar to games made in the past. I mainly play for the single player modes and they did not dissapoint. There is classic mode and spirit mode that is an rpg type game. Well worth the purchase.

Every character from all the previous titles are in this one and they added even more. You can choose to play the story mode to unlock characters or just battle it out in smash mode and unlock them that way. The system even supports the GameCube connector for those who prefer their gamecude controllers.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.What could i say about this game that people haven't already said. massive roster, massive amount of stages and a fun fighting game. it is miles better then the last iteration. the story mode is interesting and a little overwhelming but if you have played smash before you know what you are getting into. if you are a nintendo fan this is a must buy
