Must buy for all gamers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's the greatest love letter to gaming yet. Amazing multiplayer gameplay and fun single player campaign. Keep in mind that the online is NOT perfect, some lag and a clunky matchmaking system is the largest flaw this game has. That being said, it doesn't ruin the online experience altogether like some may suggest, it's just below average and not up to par with the quality you'll find in the rest of the game. Overall, recommended for all gamers, regardless of age.

What do you expect?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a Smash Bros. fan, this is a must-have. It's essentially a button mashing party/fighting game that's more fun with friends but has some decent single player modes. Unlocking all of the characters starting with 8 to start is a bit annoying though. It's a AAA title though on the Switch.

Just a fighter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this game has all the characters every single character that has been in the smash Bros series that have joined just for one installment is in this game. you can still create your Mii characters there is a training mode. all the music is there, every stage that has been in every smash Bros is there. that being said there are a couple of things that people might be missing, for one thing there is no target practice, break the targets, there is no land on the platform, there is no home-run contest. there's little-to-no story, story mode, was, I would say "hey" a nostalgia coaster of old characters you've seen from old installments but they're just stickers that don't add anything to the story they're just there, you don't see any actions between characters. if you seen the opening video where Kirby survives you basically seen 95% of all the videos and the game. it's it's underwhelming. the story... it's pretty bad. for some reason the Wii smash Bros added a very good story there was lots of interactions between the characters but after that installment they've never went back to that concept ever again. it's a shame too, because seeing the characters mingle with each other was a fun thing to watch. if you plan to go online on line is either hit or miss be sure to have a wired connection because I have a wired connection it and it runs well and I've only seen a few hiccups but I'm guessing that's because maybe the other side was running off Wi-Fi I don't know I just a guess. the new sticker mechanic is nothing special hand sticker mode is kind of boring. story 2 out of 10, fighting 9 out of 10, features 3 out of 10, music 10 out of 10, overall 6 out of 10. bottom line bring back story mode, an actual story like the Wii did.

Ultimate Says It All
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Positives: + Fantastic visuals that run at a darn-near bulletproof frame rate + An immensely deep, varied roster of playable characters to choose from + As is series tradition, a wide variety of settings to cater to however you would like to play + The ability to configure your control layout, which is far too rare for a Nintendo developed/published game + Outstanding, huge soundtrack + While not perfect, a better single player mode than the last Smash The Drawbacks: - As a result of bringing back darn near every stage, there's very few new ones - Input buffering occasionally leads to some frustration - The AI on the highest settings is simply infuriating Overview: For most players, this really is the ultimate Smash Bros. game. A huge roster that is actually far more balanced than it has any right to be, tons of stages to play on, an outstanding soundtrack, and really I could go on but I'm not. If you have even the remotest interest in playing this, do it!

It's Smash Bros. I mean, come on.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is simply one of the best fighting games I have ever played. Whether you're a huge fan of the franchise or are mildly interested in this game because it includes a character you like, I guarantee you will find a great deal to enjoy here. Every previous Smash Bros. game has been reviewed highly, but this is the best in the series by a long shot - every character feels balanced and playable. Every stage feels new and fun. There are dozens of separate options and unique features to make this the best fighting game for you - I personally love playing on Stamina Battle with Charging Final Smashes, as it feels the most like a traditional fighting game in that mode, but there are hundreds of other ways to play. It’s ridiculously hard for me to put Ultimate down, and that’s something I haven’t said about a Smash game, well, ever. I can't find any flaws in this game - that alone should tell you how good it is. And, if you needed just that extra push to buy a Nintendo Switch, I’d like to mention that this isn’t just the best Smash Bros. game in recorded history, but it’s also portable. That's right - you can play it anywhere. Spend a little money for online play, and you'll never get anything done with your life. It'll be the best problem you ever had.

Great Game that will last!
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this game long ago and still playing it. It is my favorite! Amazing for playing with family and friends. I do not like the spirits for multiplayer games but love the challenge that they become in history mode, you will not be bored alone. A classic game that has evolved but mantain it escense and primary characters!

SMAAAAAASH!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must have game for anyone with a Switch! Pro, casual, whatever, don't care. Being the fifth iteration of "my favorite Nintendo character can beat up your favorite Nintendo character," Smash Ultimate hosts a massive roster of more than 75 fighters, including every fighter from every previous title. There is also an abundant selection of stages, with over 100, and each with two other variants, for countless hours of gameplay and playstyles. There's even a dedicated training stage! The control scheme is easy to pick up, and is a challenge to master, as each fighter carries a different playstyle. Prefer swords? Guns? Magic? Props? Or even plain fists-and-feet? There's a fighter for that. Aerial vs ground. Counters vs reflects. Projectiles vs close-quarters. Endless combinations of battles. And an option to save replays after a fight to top all that off. Customization options are top-notch! You can create and save entire rulesets, and pick which music plays on which stage of that respective series. You can even choose for one stage to morph into another! And let's not forget its adventure mode. Collect and create teams of "spirits" as you go about awakening fighters whose souls have been blasted away by intense beams of light. The symbolism there is easy to get hooked on, in a "this fighter is represented by this spirit" sort of way. Rating 10/10 outside of Online Mode, which separately gets a 7.5 out of 10, as it still needs working on. For instance, there isn't an option to switch fighters without leaving a room. All in all, SMAAAAAASH! If you don't already have a copy, get yours now and be amazed!
