Although I haven't owned any Nintendo system between the SNES and the Switch, I've played all the Smash games since the N64 on friends' systems. This Switch version is a great addition, with so many characters now. Can't wait to get enough local people for an 8-player brawl!

Such an awesomm game. I have never been a Smash player and picked it up thinking my fiancé would be the one to play it more, but I have just fallen in love with it. So many options, so many characters and ways to play. Don’t over think it, just pick it up and start playing.

How are you looking at reviews for the best platform fighter ever? Just buy it and enjoy the game. This is one of the biggest crossover games in history. Minecraft Steve is even in it now. There's nothing more that needs to be said.

This game was such a great purchase! I became a fan of the smash series when Melee came out with Game Cube. Ultimate lives up to the hype and has a ton of characters to unlock to play as which you can unlock in a different ways. The solo story is a welcomed addition.

This game is a culmination of all the previous titles before it. It includes every character ever to appear in the series, as well as future ones yet to be revealed. Gameplay is easy to pickup but hard to truely master. This game is a must own if you have a Nintendo Switch.

Loving this game so far. My wife and I travel separately quite a bit for our jobs and whoever's turn it is to head out grabs our switch and totes it with. This game is my go to as there's plenty to do and I've even run into some others who have it and we can play together.

It's quite an achievement to make such a huge crossover possible, and the game is mechanically an improvement over the previous title. The single-player options are interesting, but repetitive. However, the core gameplay is very tight an incredibly fun to play with friends.

This smash game is a upgraded Wii U version with new fighters, previous fighters, and stages from earlier versions. However, I never looked at the smash games as a traditional fighting game. I always treated it as a party game. Just get some friends together and let loose.

nintendo has a gold mine with game. super fun, the game feels smooth and having all previous character in the series just makes this games so much fun. still introducing more characters, it is the gaming ultimate crossover event.

I'm not as emotionally attached to this series as some are, but it is definitely a grand example of a fighting game. It's less technical than your standard fighter, but it does have elements of nuance that take some time to master. A metric ton of content contained in this.

Smash Ultimate is easily my favorite game in the series. With a roster that's gotten a little out of control, a decent if unexciting campaign mode, and tight controls that make the entire thing feel great, there's little more I could ask for from the game.

I think that this game overall is a lot of fun, and my 7 and 9 year old children are having fun with it. I love that it is multi-player, but it does seem to get a bit chaotic after having more than 4 players on the screen at once. We initially struggled with how to play the game and are still learning. I've had to google some things to learn all of the moves a character can do to try and be more effective when battling than just smashing random buttons. But I'm older than I was when Street Fighter II came out and I wasn't a pro right out of the gate then, so I'll give it some more time.

This game is an absolute blast when playing with friends or family! The campaign was also fun and its interesting to be able to unlock characters as you go by. Definitely a pick up if you have a switch.

Purchased as a pollyanna gift. The person wasn't specific on which game they were interested in. I went online and did some research and it was between this game and one other one. The game graphics look amazing and the ratings were phenomenal. Hope my pollyanna enjoys it.

Nintendo did not disappoint. Tons of fighters, fun and competition to be had. And with DLC coming as well, it'll be a game a play for a long time. The single player mode will have you occupied for hours. This game definitely has re-playability and I feel is well worth $60.

This game is so much fun to play with my kids! Very fast pace game that takes skill but even my 4 year old can play it.

Exactly what you would expect from a Smash game and more! There are tons of solo adventures and of course, group play, and it allows for quite a bit of customization. It takes some getting used to, especially if you're only using only one joy con but that's half the fun :D
