An Expansive and Exhilarating Fighting Game
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate not only has one of the largest number of playable characters from various video game franchises in fighting game history, but it does an incredible job at making each character play and feel different in an immense amount of playable stages that contain immersive soundtracks. The game offers unique single player, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer experiences, which means there's a high chance that any Nintendo fan can play this with family and friends for days without getting bored. While I prefer to play the game's local and online multiplayer features, I find it truly mesmerizing to see beloved video game characters present in this popular, action-packed title. I appreciate the entire development team and the unforgettable amounts of hard work they put into polishing this game. Overall, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is enjoyable, challenging, and surprising. I'm still enjoying this game today with family and friends and am currently anticipating the upcoming DLC in the future.

Glad to see everyone is back into Super Smash Bros
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy to preorder this amazing game. I am Super Smash Bros lover since the first original iteration of Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. Nintendo actually outdone themselves by including everyone from entire series of Super Smash Bros roster from Super Smash Bros 64, Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Smash Bros Brawl and Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3ds. The only con on this game is the controls. I am using both Joycons and Pro Controller as it's seem awkward to me. (Perhaps, I'll buy me the adapter and original GameCube controller) Anyways, I'm satisfied with my purchase and sorry about long winded review. I'll give this game 5 stars!

Everyone is here!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the latest in Nintendo's crossover party fighting game. This game sports a massive character roster with 74 total characters included in the game (you start with 8 of them and unlock the others as you play using a variety of methods that all ultimately boil down to just playing the game). Additionally, if you purchase the game before January 31st, you'll be eligible to recieve the 75th character (Piranha Plant from Super Mario Bros) absolutely free when it's available for download (another 5 characters will also be made available as downloadable content bring the game's total roster up to 80 characters at the end). Super Smash Bros Ultimate is a fun time and a must-have for Nintendo Switch owners. There are hours upon hours of fun to be had across all of the different game modes and characters. Whether you're playing alone, with friends on the couch, or online, you're in for a great time with this game.

Best Smash Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is best smash game in the series by far. The content is enormous and you can easily get a hundred hours in the single-player modes alone, especially if you want to collect everything. The game play feels great and there are a lot of characters to choose from.

The Ultimate Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For fans new and old, smash brothers returns at it's best, boasting a large roster that includes every previous member fighter from the series inception, as well as a few new comers, with more on the horizon. With an expanse single player experience including a classic arcade style mode, and a light story more that is essentially a challenge mode with a huge amount of collectables. Multiplayer is as fun as it ever was, with problems mostly stemming from connectivity issues that will hopefully be resolved soon. Gameplay is fast, controls are reliably reactive, and the game itself is addictively fun. Not a whole lot of new content added or changes made, however, what has been changed, while small in detail, are truly welcome for any experienced player, the changes being quality of life in nature that truly feel as an enhancement. This is a must buy for any switch owner, hardcore or casual.

Truly Ultimate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've played Smash Bros. since you got the n64 version, this game shows just how much the game has evolved. I am no means a "pro" when it comes to playing Smash Bros. but this game is the best I have played since it's first iteration. Let this be a disclaimer for all the people who have never played a Smash Bros game before, this game is overwhelming and taking it all in is a task within itself. Look at it this way, you bought a Tesla on the sheer fact that it's an electric car, only to find it has so many features you have to read a manual, but when you finally grasp the aspects of the car the reward is tremendous! So my advise to you is to take in each feature, one by one, and indulge in each of it's aspects. What you will find is a deep and enriching gaming experience that captures what Nintendo is all about, and at the same time you will learn how to truly Smash... your opponent into oblivion. Like most Smash Bros. enthusiast I loved melee, and deemed it the best of the the series as Brawl ruined my favorite character (fox) and other aspects of what Smash Bros is, but when the Wii U version came out, I loved that game because it was released on the 3DS and I can play Smash Bros. where ever I want when I want and it has an interesting mix of melee and brawl. Now we have Smash Bros. Ultimate and it's on the switch, it's portable like the 3DS version, it looks amazing graphically, and it leans more towards Melee in terms of its gameplay and speed but not so much that it's hard to pick up and play. In other words, it's has the best aspects of the series in a amazing package and did I mention that the switch makes it portable :). In short, this game is a must have. There is 100's of hours of game play in a small cartridge and is worth your time to invest. Again, if you don't have time, it's portable so you can indulge when ever and where ever you want in what could possibly be, the best switch game yet!

This is the best fighting game!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the only fighting game I play. I have ended up starting over on this game 3 times. I would rather not start over, but it's totally worth it. I also only play this game single player, and it has hundreds of hours of content.

Quite a Smashing Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For anyone who is new to Super Smash or is a long time fan, this game is definitely a must have in anyone's Switch game library. It's easy to pick up since there aren't many controls but the game shines the more players put time into it. Learning how different characters work, their move set, and their combos is very rewarding. There are a TON of characters to unlock and play so there is a lot of replay potential. For those interested in single player mode, the campaign is quite lengthy and adds skill trees, maps branches, and customizable supports to keep things interesting. There are definitely a lot of things that aren't clear at first or are just never but the online community is definitely a big help since the fan base is so big. That adds into the great multiplayer modes where you can fight against others and keeps challenging players.

Does not disappoint. Smash is STILL GREAT.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is everything, in the best and worst way possible, haha. Multiplayer Smash is still as awesome as it has always been. This game is perfect for parties, groups, etc. A bit daunting for me since I've gotten older and aren't willing to spend countless hours grinding away to unlock everything. I have not tried the new Kingdom of Light story mode, but the Classic story mode is still fine for me. I think the game has a ton of content and unlockables that I will probably never complete because I won't invest the time. Some of your favorite characters will require a grind to get unlocked. Still, I never doubted if I should add this game to my collection. I recommend the physical copy so you can play it 10 years from now. Don't forget, people still own N64s and the original Super Smash Bros is probably the main reason why.

A super smash experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Smash Bros. returns, dripping with so much content. The Switch is the perfect console for this effort, as it easily incorporates multiplayer at home and on the go. The game looks fantastic, and each fighter is so well designed. Great game.

A must own for most Switch players
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this copy as a gift for a friend, because I already own it. This is a must have for most Switch owners—Smash Bros makes for an excellent party game much in the same way as Mario Kart or Mario Party. If you want to get serious with it though, there’s a great level of depth—there are tons of technical skills you can master, and techniques that ho far beyond casual play. It is however a very accessible game, and is not your typical fighting game. The roster is absolutely huge, even before you account for all the DLC fighters. Plenty of content to keep you occupied. I will say though, that there isn’t a real story mode like in Melee or Brawl, which may disappoint some.

Best Smash Yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been playing Super Smash Bros. since the first one on N64 and this is the best yet. True, online play is a bit laggy, and there's not a robust of a museum section and there's not a ton of guidance or instructional training, but obviously, none of those things mattered too much. The fact that I was even able to get on and play with my friends was so much fun. The single-player mode is reminiscent of a well developed mobile game - i.e. way more robust than any previous single-player modes. It's everything you love about smash, with every character you could want and then some, plus a bunch of new elements, items, a huge number of stages, and a single player you could spend hours on alone. All of this considering they'll likely release DLCs and patches to add more and make things even better.

Brawl for it all...new characters keep arriving
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like fighting games? Like Nintendo characters? Have you been living under a rack and never heard of Smash Brothers? What can I say about this game that basically hasn’t been said. It’s a fantastically fun time playing as many of the characters you have come to know and love over the years. Use Zelda and beat up Gannon, or bowser, Mario, peach, ect. They added 6 DLC sightseers with pass one...and have plans for 6 more with pass 2 over the next year. They just keep giving you more options on who to fight with. You can play up to 8 players sitting in your couch ( if you have that many controllers) or play online vs any number of opponents too! Great game, tons of fun. Just buy it already!
