Purchased this game for the gamer in the house to use as a trainer for a school e-sports league.

This game is so fun! It’s not quite as great as the GameCube smash was but it’s still super fun to play, and makes a great party game or game to play with some friends. I would definitely recommend it.

The concept is really fun, where you can duel using most characters in the Nintendo universe, each having their own unique abilities and powers. It was difficult for me to master the controls, though, especially using the standard joy-cons in handheld mode. I ordered a Switch Pro controller hoping this will improve my chances—I think the joy-con sticks may be just a bit too sensitive for this game. Also, I’m now at a point in the game where I feel a bit stuck—there is no way for me to progress without winning the next-higher difficulty battle, which I have failed after many tries, and no way for me to go back and improve my skills with lower difficulty battles. Perhaps platform fighting games are just not my thing. If you’re like me, it may take you some time and effort to advance in this game.

This game is a blast, solo and multiplayer. The controllers being so small takes some getting used to but its an easy adjustment. I've also played with the retro attachment that lets you use game cube controllers which I really love because that way I don't have to buy additional controller and its a familiar way of playing. But aside from that, I haven't unlocked all the players yet but I'm surprised by how many characters there are so far and its nice to have all the playing fields unlocked from the start.

Melee was always my favorite; the mobility, characters and story. This one is neck and neck with one of the greatest in the series.

Bought this game for my kids for Christmas and it arrived within 2 days as promised. My boys were thrilled! They absolutely love it.

This game is really fun to play especially with others. Although that is the case, I wished they have a story mode like the one on the wii. I really enjoyed that story mode and I was able to play with my friend. This game has a story mode, but it gets pretty boring since you can't play with someone else.

Definitely a MUST-HAVE game. This is a fun multi player game for the whole family and friends.

Must own on Switch. Play as nearly any of your favorites. It's a great party game and even has a nice single player adventure.

I know most people say melee is the greatest smash that ever was, I personally much prefer brawl because of the subspace emissary. That being said, this isn't quite to that level, with this board game type story mode that I felt very lacking. What everyone else is concerned with is the pvp, which is as great as its ever been.

If you're a Nintendo fan or buying for one, this is the quintessential game for the Nintendo switch. This game is top tier fun, the current reason to own the Switch. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the best fighting game on the system, maybe the best of all time. It features characters from numerous Nintendo franchises, including some third party franchises. In a family friendly fighting game that will last for ages. It will even have downloadable content support through late 2019. Absolutely a must for the holiday.

Finally all the years of Smash Bros under one roof. There are so many different stages and characters. I can't wait to try them all.

There is plenty to unlock in this game. Just unlocking playable characters will take hours of fun. Can’t recommend this game enough.

An inconsistent online mode and situational downers don't stop Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from shining as a flexible multiplayer game that can be as freewheeling or as firm as you want it to be. Its entertaining single-player content helps keep the game rich with interesting things to do, as well as bolstering its spirit of loving homage to the games that have graced Nintendo consoles. Ultimate's diverse content is compelling, its strong mechanics are refined, and the encompassing collection is simply superb.

I bought it for my brother and he loves playing all the time. I say this is a good first game to buy
