I really like this system

Sometimes they have issues when they update but the customer service will work with you for free to figure out the problem. The cameras are easy to install, plug and go. All you need is internet to the DVR and run the wires. Easy to put up and easy to see what's going on. I absolutely love my system!

They were easy to install and the picture clarity is clear. The price was great considering how many cameras came with my purchase and how I’m able to add more in the future if needed. You are able to see what’s going on with your smartphone and record everything too ! We haven’t had any trouble since our purchase, so it’s deterred troublemakers. This was an excellent investment and I’m glad I bought this set. I completely recommend the Swann brand if you need dependable security cameras at your business or home.

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As far as the system itself, it's a little confusing when you try to figure out the settings and it doesn't compress the footage so that you can store a lot more. I don't like that about it but the cameras picture was great. The cameras are good quality but the DVR itself is garbage. You're limited in your options of setting control and the minute they put through an update they can break whatever they want and you're the one stuck paying the bill. Their customer service is too busy after they do something like this because they've done it to many other people and they're flooded was calls and texts. They're app that goes with this camera works very badly, if at all. Most of the time you can't login or it won't load the live footage and it definitely will not load, most of the time, past footage. A camera is no good if you can't see it when you're not home! But this systems even worse. After the update on October 7th 2020, they screwed up a lot of people's systems and made it so you couldn't log in and your cameras just lost video and no longer worked. Then when we complained on the app they gave us canned responses that didn't help any of us at all and still haven't fixed it. It's been a week. Five of my cameras no longer record and I can't figure out why. It has no warranty even though I just bought it. I do not recommend this product nor any other product from Swann either if they are going to treat their customers this way. Best Buy has been great however on all the purchases I've ever made from them. Thank you Best Buy.

The overall amount of storage space on your recorder will vary on your settings. We understand that there are several issues you have with this system. Please know that all retail stores have a return policy that you can follow in the event your item is not found suitable shortly after purchase. Swann has recently launched a firmware update to our systems that will allow you to use our new Swann Security application. If your system has become compromised as a result of this updates, you will need to call in and report the issues found immediately. Swann offers a 1-year warranty provided your receipt or 18-months with valid registration. If you have not already contact our support team and provide the needed information to move forward with a claim.

Swann will continue to release new versions of the app and camera firmware to improve your experience. When a new camera firmware is available, the app will show an Update Available message on the main screen. Swann highly recommends that you update your camera firmware to take advantage of the latest improvements. Please follow the instructions in the User Manual for how to update your camera’s firmware.

But unfortunately it’s not the product of hay I have an issue with but the Best Buy service that put them in. Paid for 4 cameras to be installed, they only fully installed 3 and the wires on the outside of the house are a little bit messy

I like that the cameras include a light that turns on when movement is detected. The DVR program is a bit confusing at first because there are many options. But the iPhone app is great and images are clear.

The dvr quit working so we bought the 6 camera Swann. Better video and color. Took a while to install the app. After several days got it working . So far happy with it.

You have 1 cable line thats only 60 feet. I had to buy another 50 feet of cable line for 4 of my camera from Amazon which is cheap. Doesn't take long to set up. The only thing that takes the time is drilling hole in the wall/ceiling/or outside overhang for the camera and put the screws in. Besides that, download the app and had no problems getting it working on the app. After 1 month its still working great.
