Much better than one of its predecessors

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the 720p system before this one and it got so that that one was sending me 500 emails a day of motion detection and it was 99 percent trees blowing in the wind or leaves falling. BUT this system only messages when an actual HUMAN is there or a vehicle and not random tree movement.

Great security for the price!

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this system because it was the best of several worlds. -Price was reasonable. -Amount of Hardware provided. -Clarity (1080p) HD video. After I set this up in my house I realized that it may be more or a business set up, but I've never felt more secure and still have extra cameras to set up. ***BNC cables will require you to plan ahead for powering the cameras, the power runs back to the box but will need to be plugged in and powered up through a surge protector with its adapters. Additionally, I can see and make out all the people and vehicles that drive by. Is the quality good enough if I need to prove it to authorities, I hope so. Up close the quality is incredible. The further away you get, ofcourse you lose some detail. I might have upgrade the camera quality but for now it's perfect. I only want to view my property anyways not everyone elses. Indoors the field of view is some what narrow but maybe that's normal. This is my first camera system but I installed, mounted and programmed the entire thing by myself.. some IT skill would be great for you. This is a great system, are there better? Yes. Are they Waaay more expensive? Absolutely!

Pictures are great, crisp and vivid. Night vision not so great, requires some illumination on completely dark areas

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i got this on deal of day total cost ~400 ,, but then gave to friend who needed it .. so my review is minimal .. recommend you setup completely the system and configure the software before installing .. that it works as you want it to .. as other reviewers stated .. i also jumped on this because of minimal negative reviews and even though negative reviews ,, it was not a bad serious issue or defect of the product .. it was setup easily with apple phones ,, i was told you can also just read the barcode and it get configured automatically .. and or do it manually ... my friend has trouble configuring on various pc ,, which i helped and figured it out without even reading anything .. the software is not that intuitive but works .. there is a configure panel to set dvr variables ,, then configuring the software to find the dvr and creating a group and it works on the pc .. so the system is working as a monitoring system ,, it now up to my friend to configure all other features to his needs ..

I can see the cameras just about anywhere. It also works with Amazon Echo devices like the Echo Show and on the Firestick.
