    Best Buy will charge you 2x the amount of the item to instal even if you have the total tech. Membership wasn’t worth it

    The Swann - Enforcer™ 8-Channel, 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wired 1080p 1TB DVR Home Security Camera System is quite a package. Everything is included except the HDMI capable TV/Display/Monitor. During the unpack, literally everything needed was included, even the HDMI cable. I like the fact that many security stickers were included. As with any wired security system, you do have to run the wires from the control box to the cameras, but it really isn't too difficult, considering the cameras are high mount locations that don't require multiple fishing wires down the wall. It comes with 4 HD cameras and capability to add an additional 4 cameras. The included terabyte hard drive will provide plenty of recordings and the default setting to auto overwrite when full, makes it a seamless security system. Cameras record in color even under low light conditions. My previous security system camera goes to black and white under low light conditions. A power supply is also included that auto turns on a flood when low light is detected. That is nice feature, however, I wonder how long of a life span the LED's have? For instance, the LED's would be on constantly if the camera was used in a dark storeroom. Setup was a breeze with the wizard guiding and prompting you along the process. Just like installing any drivers or apps on a computer. Download the Swann Security app and easily connect by scanning the QRC code on the controller. The Swann - Enforcer™ 8-Channel, 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wired 1080p 1TB DVR Home Security Camera System combo actually complements each other very well, and setup and use was super easy, super quick. Haven't had any issues viewing the cameras through the Swann Security app. The siren and flashing light features are a nice touch to an already nice security system. Don't let installation scare you. Running wires in the attic or across ceiling panels aren't that bad. unless you have a low roof line! I definitely recommend this for ease of setup and use!

    It’s a nice system, sadly getting it to actually operate properly is an absolute nightmare. I’ve had the system for a few months now and I have yet to get it to record motion. Which basically makes the system useless. I don’t like the Ring systems but at least they halfway work, should have bought one of them instead

PIR sensors work optimally when the camera is mounted around looking down somewhat and the subject of detection passes across their front. The more the object must "cross" the front of the camera the better the detection reliability. When placing your camera try to avoid situations where the subject would move straight toward the camera if possible. There are also other settings that can be adjusted on each camera to help avoid false triggers or PIR not detecting motion. Please know that we do offer 24-hour support.     I bought these cameras on December 10, 2021 because they kept trying to break into my car at first it would detect every little movement now it detect some stuff and its sensitivity is 8 which is very sensitive. Then last week one camera light does not turn on anymore and on wednesday the another camera did the exact same thing. I called best buy because it had insurance and they said someone can come and check them out but that they were going to charge me and that if i did not want to be charged id have to take them down and bring them into a store.

    For some security gives piece of mind, for others it is necessary... what ever your reason for looking at this system... this may fit the bill. First the value... at this price point, you are getting a complete system with four cameras, for less then some of the other brands for just 1 single camera. In the package you are getting the complete kit. A DVR system with 1TB of storage, which will cover you for days and days of recordings. 4 Cameras, and 60ft cables for each camera, and the power adapters. Installation for most will be pretty straight forward. The challenge is if you are running outdoors, is to get the hole drilled for the wire, and then sealing it back up. Each camera comes with it's mount, just utilizes the appropriate screws for each installation (brick, wood, siding, etc, check with your local hardware store for the best way to mount to your surface). BNC connectors for the video, which if you are not familiar, are designed to not just "fall off". They push then twist, and stay tight. This is good, as it keeps the connection tight, and other things from happing. (the wire getting pulled etc). the single cable also carries the power, from insight. Which is a GREAT advantage to some of the competitors, which the power adapter is a totally separate wire. Single adapter will power 4 cameras, and another adapter will power your DVR. This is great for power consumption, and wiring... as it you won't need a massive power strip. So depending on your settings setup can take a few hours, to get those cables tucked away and neat, and tight. But once it is setup, you are just about ready and done. Connect to the DVR (Same twist and connect), power it up... and walk through the setup, and you are up and viewing video. You can add the system to your home entertainment center via HDMI, and the DVR looks nice with the rest of your equipment. not bulky or industrial looking. (almost looks like a modern gaming system). You have modes to view the video, one at a time. multiple one the screen... however you want to view it. The picture is great in the daylight, full HD quality, will give you a clear view of what is going on. And since this is wired in... no buffering, no degradation or breaks in wireless signs. just a consistent good picture. Night view is good to. You can only do so much at night, but this camera makes the most of it, and you will catch the critters and creeps on your property. Best part, this kit can expand to four more cameras, when you are ready. So if you are looking to secure your home or business. Indoors or out... this unit may be the best solution for you.

    I bought this to replace another Swann DVR that had failed (common for Swann equipment). Much to my dismay it would not work with the existing swann cameras that were installed, so I had to also install the included cameras, which I had never run into before. This is the last Swann product I will ever buy after 10 years of dealing with it. If you just need something to keep watch and record it's fine, but if you want to do anything remotely stay away. Their app(s) have been terrible/useless for remote viewing. And as I stated before the equipment fails often. I have not used any other NVR / DVR based systems before so not sure if the grass is greener elsewhere
