It was easy to install minimum configuration and work.

Has worked pretty good but I did have to order 2 new cables because they just stopped working for some reason.

Well let me start with I did get a good deal for it .. it cost 499 but best buy let me get it on clearance for 248 ... which was a deal ... plus I got it shipped to the store and arrived days before the due date( impressive ) ... and everything worked excellent ... no complaints

I have tried other camera and these are the best I have seen so far for the money . They are crystal clear in daylight and the night vision is excellent . Love them . Easy to install and the set up was pretty easy .

We have been very disappointed with this camera system. We cannot see facial features or license plates, as described. Also, we have called Swann to try to ask questions about the system to see if we had a setting wrong, and the representatives that answered the phone knew hardly anything about the product (They could not even tell us which camera was which based on the colored marking on the cameras).

Camera lose signal constantly. Power outage or power restarts make recording delete. Not reliable at all. Dont wasnt your time nor money its not worth it. Swann tech support is also no help. will trouble shoot piece by piece. I do not have time for that.

I bought this product not only for the name, but because I could install it myself

A good System for the money, if you just want to record! I bought this DVR8-4500 system for mobile viewing but the software is the pits and very unreliable, Now if on the other hand your just wanting a good security recoding then this will work well for you and the 1080p is really nice and sharp and the night vision is good also. I wanted the system to monitor the house while I was away but unfortunately it didn't work out so I gave it up and decided to look elsewhere for another system with better Mobile software! It being 1080p I really had high hopes for it and was very disappointed that it didn't work out, it really did seem like a nice system, if only the Software had been better, IF your wanting to Monitor your home from a far off with software - All I can say is keep looking because this will not satisfy that need with any reliability at all. And Tech Support was no help at all in solving this issue and was supposed to escalate it up to the next level of support and call back, But never did so I returned it and gave up!. The Camera System product is not bad and installed really easy for me however the Mobile Monitoring software and PC Monitoring Software is unreliable and not good at all and really degrades the systems Value. If the Software had been as good as the system it's self I would have kept it and gave it a 5 Rating !

Purchased this after my daughters car was vandalized. The camera resolution is excellent and night vision also very good. It was relatively easy to setup and the hardest part was just running all the cables. The software works well and able to view everything remotely.

I bought this camera system to watch outside my apartment since there has been some on my mail packages stolen . I had to install inside my apartment facing outside (landlord wont let me install outside) the quality is awesome, no crash, error, or problem trying to replay . The only issue i have is that since I installed the camera facing out the IR at night create a glare reflection on the glass window and not being able to see at night. I did solve the issue by just covering the IR with black tape just to lower the brightness of the light output . Just a WARNING you cannot turn off or adjust the IR in case you have an issue of reflection. Other than that I love it and being able to watch while i am away from home.

Camera clearity was legit. The instructions were horrible and a bit difficult to figure out the set up. I donwloaded the app on the instructions and it turned out it was the wrong app. I had to call customer support who then advised me of a newer version of the app which i did not know existed due to the lack of info in the instructions. Once i downloaded the right app the system said the camera was not connected even though i checked it 5 times for connection issues...if you have a full day to figure everything out and alot of patience then get these cameras

After having the cameras and DVR set up for less than 6 months, we had to call to get a new one with our warranty because the hard drive failed to keep recordings. Now, after less than a year of getting the new DVR, the hard drive failed again, and Swann refuses to give us a new one because the original DVR was purchased over a year ago. Do not waste your time. Go with a better brand like Samsung.

yes good system for the money and i have had cameras sence 1999 and got this system and it is a good system for home or office i happy with my buy.

The system was very easy to install and setup. The remote viewing feature was a breeze to setup with my phone and my tablet. Highly recommend this product.

Best Buy told us they would install the system when we purchased it. When we ready to have it installed, they told us they no longer install these systems. We already had our electrician run all the cables through the house so we couldn't return it. A friend from Pittsburgh, PA drove here to install the system for us. We are having a problem that tech support can't fix and we have no one to help us. We live in Suffolk, VA and purchased this system at the Best Buy in Chesapeake, VA.

I bought this product a week ago (06/28/2015) Nothing but a headache, I will agree that installation is breeze. However the software is Junk, technical service doesn't have a clue and seems unwilling to help. I cannot get remote viewing to work nor can they. they keep insisting its my wifi, So I had AT&T out to update and with speeds of 18 mbps apparently still not enough. back to the store it goes good riddance.
