    Great video quality but not a lot of functionality

    Installing this product wasn’t difficult. Albeit I ran the cables through the attic and drilled the holes necessary to run the cables and mount the cameras, the user experience is less than enjoyable. The app that it instructs you to download is ridden with glitches but it’s tolerable after a couple of times closing and opening the app. The system is a basic plug and play security unit that boasts a heat detecting feature. I’ve been tuning the detection settings and I still get false alarms even if the system mentions its PIR feature (Persistent Infrared). Another downside is that there’s no sound. I’ve scoured forums and found the “fix” but I still get no audio after applying said fix from the Swann Website. The greatest feature of these cameras is the quality. You can’t beat a picture at 4k. I do like the blue and red lights, they do work, but I can’t have them on all the time due to the false triggers and my home looking like the police are there at all times of the night. It’s a great system, it may be due to where I live but I honestly expected the heat detecting feature to eliminate or at least lessen the false alarms due to the wind shaking trees etc. I would have recommended the system if the features were more user friendly. It’s highly customizable, that’s great to have in any security system but those features in my experience weren’t up to my standards. Great concept, poor execution.

    Great security system

    This setup is pretty awesome. You can watch on a 4K tv and the picture is amazingly clear. Since this is wired, if you're not experienced/confident in running wiring, You may want a pro to do it. This took me several hours to do. This is replacing a Ring system for me. Night and day difference. Easy to look at any part of my property form the comfort of my couch. Nightvision is good. When you test it, be sure to let the neighbors know, the siren is LOUD. Best thing, no fees. Phone app for me is a little clunky, but should get better once more familiar. Did I mention the picture? No more blurry porch pirate pics! Definitely reccomend

    Easy Setup, Great App

    I found the setup of this system very easy, though do keep in mind that this is a wired system, so you do need some cable management, and may need a drill, etc. for installation. That said, I feel that your average person wouldn't have an issue installing yourself. This isn't my first SWANN product, but it is my first SWANN 4k system, and the upgrade is well worth it if you have property, investments, etc. to protect. The price is also great, even when compared to lower resolution systems. Finally, I found the app easy to use and well thought out. Incredibly convenient way to check up on things, and even to get notified when there is activity on the cameras.

    Complete home protection bundle!! Personally, I feel safer knowing that these are up & protecting my family. We rarely need to access the notifications. But loved that this has 24/7 monitoring, available. This is why we switched from the rings home monitoring system. To this all in one. Very happy

    Swann has always been a great name in home security. And this product is no different. If you’re not worried about running wires then this is a perfect product. The setup can be tricky as for running wires without them being seen. But once everything is setup then you can enjoy making sure your home is safe no matter where you are!!

    4months of Constant system outages that last hrs to days. When system is on it fails to catch ppl properly. sometimes it catches ppl other times i can look outside & see someone n the yard yet the system doesn't show anyone the app has issues all the time.. Only good thing is the 4k pic on our 4k t.v when the systems working & thats not often Spend the xtra to get something else i want the money back to get a different system. Look at their website & see what ppl msg about it in the support section & forums. Lil to no customer service or tech support i spent over 14hrs straight tryin to find a solution & it was a waste of time. U feel less safe with this system than without anything at all. My 2 dogs give more security protection & I know they don't fail. Its not easy to use cause its always messed up & doesn't record right, app doesn't work properly. I had other systems & not this many issues especially in only a few months with a new system. If it worked properly it would b easy to use & b a good system but it doesn't work so its bad all around.

Based on the information provided, the issues you are experiencing are when you are remotely accessing your device using our Swann Security application. The camera has 3 different settings for streaming quality; low, medium and high. If you are having problems streaming you can lower the settings and test to see if it improves.

      Note that lowering the stream settings does not affect the quality of the recordings. If you have very fast upload speeds you can set your camera to high, but if your upload speed is not that good then we recommend you use medium or low for the streaming setting. When remotely accessing your device, the network speed will be a large factor in how well the remote control functions will work.

    It's OK for the price

    There ok for remote servalance however image quality is not great and 24hr recording does not seem to record continuously overall not bad for the price but not great either it's meh at best

    Camera quality ok. There is no remote interface except using the app. The app isn't good. Doesn't support remote mouse on the dvr. Does not have audio. Sometimes the camers get fuzy like 1950s tv

    Don’t Buy

    Do Not Waste your Money. Buy Ring or Blink. I spent hundreds of dollars on a Swann security system and they stopped working. I called their support and refuse to help and hang up on me. I purchased this system new from Best Buy a new years ago. Very very disappointed.

    I wish we could put 0 star because 1 is already to much !!!! The worst you can find in the market Send you notifications about movement in your yard every second even when you set up the sensitivity to 20% Useless

    These cameras are NOT weatherproof!

    Note that the Swann cameras are only meant for indoors. None of their cameras are weatherproof even though they say they are. We had our first rain in months in Los Angeles, and four of my Swann cameras had condensation in the lens (housing not weatherproof) and then they went off-line, never to work again. Swann said condensation shouldn't normally occur, but on four camera? They also said that after 90 days there is no warranty and I have to buy another system. Beware!
