Good system for security protection either home or business. No monthly fees. Quality of images very good.

After returning 2 different versions from cheaper company's, I finally wised up and paid a little more for a much better product. One of the power cords included in my box was faulty, but it is a common cord I had lying around. Swann did ofer to replace it for free though, and their 24 customer service was prompt. Overall I'm very happy!

this is actually my second system that I have purchased from Best Buy the customer service there is great and electronics on the system's that they have available are excellent

This is a great DIY system that enables you to keep track of your home while you're away by using networking and an app. Setup should be fairly easy, unless you have an old house like mine, where the layout is not the best. The 60ft cables are not nearly enough for my application, and extension cables are not available in store. I have yet to setup the networking side, again because of where my modem is located compared to where I have the DVR. I'm sure once I get the cabling and modem relocated everything will be ok. Also the cameras will need adjustment for picture quality and focus once I get everything else squared away.

This product is easy to install, has many great features and i'm happy that I can watch what is happening wherever I happen to be.

After reading all the reviews online, I decided to purchase this for my business. However, I could not set it up by myself and had a professional do it for me. I was told that the wiring supplied with the system would not hold up so he put in his own wiring. Initially the system was great all cameras were working as expected but within 2-3 days 3 cameras went from color to black and white. Called customer service and they said i would have to pack it all up and return to best buy or ship it back to them for replacement, which would mean needing an expert to re-install it all again. No thanks, I will just have to accept it as is. Waste of money, time and effort!

I should have tested the unit before spending an entire day running the wires! I needed 2 cameras mounted outside and I wanted the wires concealed so I drilled holes in my house and ran the wires for the cameras through the walls and crawl space, which was a real chore. Then upon hooking everything up the recorder wouldn't do anything but display the logo onscreen. I took the recorder unit back to Best Buy to try and just trade that in, but they wouldn't rob a unit from another box, plus the salesman pointed out that t he cameras only work down to 4 degrees, and they would freeze up when it got colder, which means they would only work only about half the year here in Alaska! So I had to go home and pull out all the wiring and box everything back up to return it. I read all the fine print on the system I bought to replace it, which is a Lorex from Costco, which came with 8 cameras for the same price.

Overall this is a nice system for the average Joe. I had a couple issues during the initial setup and Swanns' tech support really helped me through it.

Getting the cameras up and running was easy. Figuring out how to mount outdoors, keep a decent connection and weatherproof seems to be a challenge. The resolution at night is good for what I need. Just gotta keep learning!!!

Purchased on Feb 22 and did not buy the BestBuy protection play. (We paid good money, it should work!) By the end of March it was not storing or retrieving video. After 4 difficult sessions with technical support (outside the US) it died completely. We sent it back via the USPS, under insuring it, tracked it to City of Industry, CA, and it was 'lost' by the Post Office. The Post Office juggled the multiple claims we filed. End story, lost $600 to a product that should be reliable and functional to the level advertised. It is NOT.

These cameras are phenomenal. Easy to install (takes time to run the wires). The clarity is beautiful in all lights. Need more!

I really like this system. Everything works great. The only bad thing was having to crawl around in my hot attic to run the wires.

Camera installation is relatively easy. Cameras pick up movement but are not clear enough to see details needed to id a person or tag #. Enlarged pictures are very grainy

Great product but needs additional cable or at least access to buying more at Best Buy. We still have not found more cable. We need less than 25 feet of cable.

The system has hard drive that is enough space for 30 days and it can be added more cameras that has longer range to activate motion detector.

These are excellent camera for the value. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a security camera where you can actually make out peoples faces and features. I saw this system set up at a car lot and was impressed with the quality of the photos.
