Test camera location before mounting. Great face and person detection. Charging cameras once a month with 2 batteries of 4 in each camera. Access to charging port without removal from case would be nice.

Also, consider the infrastructure within the residence or if there are multiple stories and other surrounding Wi-Fi-type devices. In medium and large size dwellings, there might be Wi-Fi dead spots where devices fail to find a Wi-Fi signal or the signal strength is extremely low. You can find these dead spots by walking around your house with your mobile device and looking at the bars indicating the signal strength. This is typically caused by physical barriers such as a wall or large objects obstructing the Wi-Fi signal. Decent security

I've only had to go back and look at the video 1 and it was easy enough. They were quit expensive to have installed. Over $800. Best buy now has a program that this would have been great for. I did end up buying a smaller TV because for some reason the tech guy couldn't get mine to work. The tv is 6 years old.

Great system total tech was 3rd party

We purchased on the same day.

Bought it new but came locked to someones account

It had all the packaging and was sold as a new product. I 100% believe this was given to best buy from ghe manufacturer as a new product. However i went to set it up and its locked to someones account. I called seann and they confirmed that this unit was locked to a previousnusers account. Meaning it is not a new product. I found this out AFTER paying someone to come install all of the cameras. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND THIS MANUFACTURER.

Easy to install

The app is very easy to use and alerts me in clips of what occurs only. The cable lenght was enough for all cameras to fit in a 5 bedroom size house. Only issue is the cameras itself lacks the ability to be positioned left to right. It only rotates or goes up and down. Which requires me to add more wood in a wedge shape to orientate camera base.

Posted .Thank you for your review Steve. The cameras should allow you to angle them left and right as well, but you may just need to play around a bit with the joints on the base and camera arm in order to position them differently. Hope this helps.

I don't think I will buy another Swann product. It is very hard to figure out how to set the parameters for recording. You can only view 4 of the 8 cameras at a time. You have to reconfigure the settings to view different recordings. I am having a very hard time setting certain cameras to record all the time and some to only record when there is motion. Since they are all hard wired, which means they can't be hacked, it is very labor intensive to install. Where as "Ring" systems are very easy. And they are not that cost prohibitive.
