The OLED screen is stunning — colors are vibrant and sharp, making handheld gaming feel brand new. The sturdier kickstand and better speakers are huge upgrades, and the extra storage is a nice bonus. Easily the best version of the Switch!

The OLED screen looks really good definitely nicer than the original model. Battery life has been solid, and the new kickstand is actually useful. I mostly use it handheld, and it’s been a good experience overall. Not a huge game changer, but worth it if you’re upgrading from an older model.

This item has incredibly smooth handling and user interactions are responded to immediately and with great precision. The size of the product would leave users shocked with the comfortability you feel while playing on it as it isn't bulky or too heavy.

Gotta love the Nintendo Switch as a system that can be either played on the main TV or portable, as needed. The OLED model has a bigger screen and looks more updated. While I haven't compared them side-by-side, the new OLED model likely also has better colors and more depth of contrast due to the OLED nature. Definitely suggest over the old version if you can spare the extra $$. While we also have a PS4 and are likely to get a PS5, you can't beat the family-fun classics that come from Nintendo. Graphics not as powerful as the XBoX nor PS4, let alone the PS5 and other next-gen systems. Overpriced for the hardware you get, and games are definitely more expensive than they have any real right to be compared to the other systems.

The Nintendo Switch OLED model is a fantastic upgrade from the original. The 7-inch OLED screen is the standout feature — the colors are much more vibrant, and everything looks sharper and more immersive, especially in handheld mode. It really makes a difference in games like Zelda, Mario Kart, and Metroid. The build quality feels slightly more premium, and the improved kickstand is a huge improvement — way more stable and adjustable. The audio is noticeably better too, louder and clearer than the original model. Storage has been bumped up to 64GB, which helps, though I still recommend a microSD card if you download a lot of games. The Joy-Cons feel the same as the original, and they work great — though I still wish Nintendo would fully resolve the drift issue. Overall, if you play a lot in handheld or tabletop mode, the OLED model is 100% worth it. It’s not just a small upgrade — it actually enhances the experience in a big way.

Best purchase for me in a long time

So this is a little gem. I have rheumatoid arthritis so i can not play games on my cell phone because my hands and fingers do not work like a normal persons hands. I love playing games and this brings back memories of my Nintendo when i was a kid. I paid $20 to get the year subscription to the switch network and i can play any and all Nintendo games i played as a kid. Mike Tysons punchout well its called punchout now but also the original Mario brothers and Metroid and i picked up a couple new games Need for speed hot pursuit and the new Mario brothers 3d world and fast and the furious to name a few and the screen is so amazing. The quality is no were near your older handheld systems. I gain a few bonuses playing on the switch as in a brighter way bigger screen than my phone and the battery seems to last forever. If i want i can hook up to me TV and the controller transforms into 2 separate controllers so multiple people can enjoy the switch on any TV to play multiplayer games. The best part is when im playing it the controller is way bigger than trying to play games on my cell phone so i have 0 trouble controlling the games it works great.

I must say I was excited to get this. Not because it was the latest model of the Nintendo switch, just the fact that I was able to get it since I wanted one for awhile now. The color on this OLED screen makes all the games POP. The clarity and graphics are crispy clear. The size of the display is a nice upgrade. Definitely get this! Worth the extra what? $50?! White is pretty clean and appealing.

My Nintendo Switch OLED from Best Buy

This is particularly great for local multiplayer sessions. The enhanced audio, while subtle, also adds to the overall experience, providing clearer and richer sound. The increased internal storage (64GB) is also a welcome addition, giving me a bit more breathing room for digital downloads before I need to reach for an SD card. And while I mostly play in handheld, the new dock with its built-in Ethernet port is fantastic for ensuring a stable online connection when I do connect to my TV. Speaking of Best Buy, the purchasing experience was seamless. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, and I was in and out with my new console in no time. Their return policy also gave me peace of mind, though I certainly won't be needing it for this purchase! In conclusion, if you're on the fence about upgrading your original Switch, or if you're looking to dive into the Nintendo ecosystem for the first time, the Switch OLED model is the definitive way to experience it. The stunning screen, improved build quality, and subtle but impactful enhancements make it a truly premium portable gaming machine. This was a fantastic purchase from Best Buy, and I couldn't be happier!

Exactly What We Wanted and More

To preface, the Switch OLED is aimed mostly towards people who play in portable mode primarily. The Switch OLED offers no benefits to those who play in docked mode, beyond the addition of the LAN port (Ethernet) in the new dock. However, even if you primarily play in docked mode, you may change the way you play after getting this. The Switch OLED’s screen is beautiful. That’s even an understatement compared to the underwhelming screen on the original Switch. It is a night and day difference. Even more apparent than the gorgeous OLED colors is the screen size. Although, on a technical side, it is only slightly bigger, it makes a big difference. I cannot stress enough how much of an improvement the larger screen is. Games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Breath of the Wild benefit from this screen increase by making it easier to see inventory screens and smaller world-based details. The new stand on the Switch OLED is exactly what we should have had on the older Switch. The stand has a smooth resistance when opening and closing it, which helps you to situate it in just the right angle. It is sturdy. I wouldn’t worry about it falling over at all, unlike the last Switch. In the end, I believe the Switch OLED is the perfect upgrade to anyone with an older Switch, or someone who primarily plays in portable mode. The upgrades, although relatively small, make a massive difference in gameplay enjoyment. If you manage to get your hands on one of these, you won’t be disappointed.

Little more can be said about the Swicth. I like it, the kid's addicted to it, and it is an improvement (slightly) on the original console. We sold the old one and got this. The way I look at it, I ended up paying a little more to upgrade the console screen, stand, battery (remianing life), an the joycons that had drift. A lot of family fun for Nintendo fans

I love this Nintendo Switch OLED! I have had my Little Nintendo Switch Lite for years but felt it was time for an upgrade. It is easy to set up and gives you options for play. You can play on tv, on your handheld or with the convenient adjustable stand. It charges quickly and explains a lot to you. Tons of games you can get for it!

Love this Switch screen is way better for one. Kickstand is made way better on this model. and also an extra 32GB of storage still ain't much, but being able to put a MicroSD card in for storage helps. Recommend buying a MicroSD card right off the bat epically if your buying all digital games.

Nintendo Switch OLED: Portable Gaming at Its Best

Owning the Nintendo Switch OLED model has been a fun and rewarding experience. The biggest difference from the original Switch is the upgraded screen. The new OLED display is brighter, more colorful, and has much deeper contrast. Games look more vibrant and detailed, especially when playing in handheld mode. This makes the OLED model feel like a big improvement for those who enjoy portable gaming. The design of the Switch OLED also feels more polished. The larger seven-inch screen has thinner bezels, and the wider, adjustable kickstand is a huge improvement over the flimsy stand on the original model. It makes playing in tabletop mode much easier and more stable. The upgraded speakers also deliver clearer sound, which makes the gaming experience more immersive without needing headphones.

Great compact console. Nintendo online offers plenty of new and nostalgic games for hours/days of gameplay. Love the portability and the compatibility with docking station. OLED doesn’t offer much more than original version, but a nice upgrade on battery life and graphics. Owned all three versions of switch and this is the best.

Upgraded switch with brighter screen. Definitely had to get new storage as games keep getting bigger, and you cannot just move the card from one switch to another. The joy cons don't have any drift, but i had the original switch for years before it was noticeable.

You might want to wait for the next generation of switches. It is a neat device for what it is, but the store is laggy, install speeds are incredibly slow, and the processing speeds are lacking. This definitely feels like it was released 7 years ago and ready for a refresh. 30fps is jarring and sometimes nauseating, especially in 3D games. If you've never gamed, or coming back after a long time, or If you aren't used to gaming at least 60fps, you might love this device. I recommend trying one out. maybe you aren't as sensitive to this as I am. Despite these negatives, I can still see this traveling with me when I'm on the road. Plus sides, battery seems great, it's portable, the storage is expandable, the screen looks great, and the docking system works really well. Also, there is a huge library of games. When it's refreshed, I will likely be buying one. I love the idea of couch co-op and the multitude of family-friendly games.

Absolutely well designed and fun to use. I am not a gamer and don’t like many games, but there are so many games available for Switch that everyone will find a few to play, and the switch is so fun and easy to use, I can’t imagine anyone having any issues figuring out how to use it. And the OLED screen is gorgeous. Super sharp and bright.

Not the Switch Pro that I was hoping for but the OLED switch is the definitive version of the switch for now. The OLED screen is larger, but not by much. You will notice the extra size but there is still bezel that they could have expanded towards. I have not noticed that the system play any smoother. But the screen has deeper darks and brighter light colors, and has more pop to the picture. I love the full body length kick stand. The battery life is roughly double that of the original switch (v1). I like the new cradle, it has an ethernet jack built in. I am very pleased with this version and think it is worth the extra cash over the non-OLED switch.
