OLED Screen is a Big Deal

I have had the OG switch since the year it was released. It was still performing well, both docked and handheld. That made me reluctant to plop down cash on a new model that's only standout new feature is the OLED screen. Nevertheless, the Switch OLED has surprised me. The larger size and much more crisp and vibrant screen has made me enjoy Switch games that much more. Coming from the OG model, I also got a battery life boost that arrived arrived during the 2019 update. The OLED screen makes a bigger difference than you might thank. Recommended.

Good console, could stand to be a little more powerful in terms of specs, a lot of the games are priced high. Great mobility, battery life is decent. Screen quality is pretty good.

Awesome, I bought as a gift for a 25 year old. He said it was for work when he had to wait on co workers. I think he is going to use way more than that. The girlfriend is going to be calling me here soon! Hey, thats what he asked for thats what we got him. The screen and graphics were incredible Nintendo has come a long why with graphics. The interactive game play and multiple games in one is helpful. One game has so many things to do that no need to purchase a bunch of games like other systems. The moving of the game system and blowing into a hole to make the character do things is amazing. This system gives so much more than just a system you sit there and play. The detachable controllers encourages movement

Replacement for my original Switch after the latter was bricked by a system update and it wasn't worth repairing. The OLED screen is the stand out improvement of course, and it's gorgeous. The improved kickstand is also a bonus. Setup was relatively painless - if you're a Nintendo Switch Online member it's fairly easy to transfer cloud saves back to the system. I do wish there was a black/dark gray color scheme available instead of just white or neon, but it's not worth knocking a star off. At the end of the day, it's a Switch with a better screen, and the Switch is already a great system.

    An Amazing Upgrade

Let me start by saying if you mainly plan on playing handheld. This is the one to get if you have not gotten a switch. If your upgrading from a regular switch the OLED IS night an day difference it makes playing games again a completely different experience. I had to play through BOTW again because of how amazing it looked. THe kickstand is also miles better than that plastic crap on the old one. I dont regret getting the OLED at all its way better than the old switch. I dont think were getting a switch pro but honestly this is the next best thing and I really like it. Highly reccomned picking this verison up for $50 bucks more if you dont have a switch or just want a better experience playing handheld.

Definitely happy that I went with OLED. The colors are well defined across the spectrum. I haven't had to delete any games when downloading a new one yet. Everything moves pretty seemless regardless of docked or handheld.

The Nintendo Switch OLED is an update to Nintendo's popular hybrid In terms of design, the Switch OLED is very similar to the original version. However, the 7-inch OLED screen is a big improvement over the LCD screen of the previous version. The OLED screen has higher contrast, more vibrant colors, and a better viewing angle than the previous screen, making games look more impressive. Additionally, the Switch OLED comes with a redesigned kickstand, which is wider and more stable than the original kickstand, making it easier to view the screen. The Switch OLED's battery life hasn't improved compared to the previous version, but it's still good enough to provide several hours of handheld gaming. The Switch OLED also comes with a larger amount of internal storage, which means you won't have to worry as much about running out of space for your games. When it comes to the gaming experience, the Switch OLED is just as good as its predecessor. Joy-Con controls work perfectly, and the console can be used in handheld mode or connected to a TV. The Switch OLED also has the same processing power as the previous version, which means games run just as smoothly on both consoles. In short, the Nintendo Switch OLED is a great upgrade to Nintendo's popular hybrid console. The OLED display is impressive, the redesigned kickstand is useful, and the increased amount of internal storage is a bonus. If you're looking for a Switch and don't already have one, the OLED Switch is definitely an option to consider.

OLED is the way to go. Did a side by side comparison to another and the difference in screen quality is crazy. Would definitely recommend if you're planning on gaming handheld a lot. Otherwise, it's basically the same as the old switch but white.

Contemplating this and other game console competitor. I chose the Nintendo Switch. Good quality. I enjoy playing this Switch, especially when traveling. While waiting for the departure, this is my pastime. Screen size and quality is superb. OLED edition is the best. When it comes to games performance this is the best out there. Controller is responsive. I don’t see a lag. Storage capacity is just right for my needs.

The Best Version of the Switch!

Been in love with it ever since I picked it up. Had an original Switch from 2017 and despite not being the "Switch Pro" it is still worth picking it up as an upgrade. If this is your first Switch I also recommend picking this up if you're out and about a lot. The biggest difference between this and the original Switch is the screen and the kick stand. The new OLED screen really makes games pop out in color and I literally cannot go back to my original Switch's screen. A easy comparison is how in the early 2000's there was the Game Boy Advance and the Game Boy Advance SP. The SP having a button to brighten the screen and the now signature clamp design. However it still had the same tech on the inside as a regular Game Boy Advance. TL;DR - Worth picking it up as your first Switch or as an upgrade from a first generation Switch!

My very first Nintendo switch I ever bought, great for when you got friends over, even when you're in a few drinks and having fun and having a great time playing smash bros or Mario kart 8, I would recommend to everyone of all ages, Excellent product for its price. I have bought many other games, and it has not failed me yet .

Coming from a launch day original Switch model, this is better in literally every way: The texture/feel of the console, the battery life, the kickstand, built-in ethernet on the dock, and the SCREEN -- size, colors, it's all beautiful.

This Console is reliable and portable, if you’re looking for something on the go this is it right here, The Nintendo Switch Oled is a beautiful device with some great games, has a good library of games. This is great for solo and for couch play, it’s really an easy purchase for anyone, i’d recommend to get one of the SSD for extra storage but it’s really not needed unless you’d like to have plenty of games installed, space does come in handy. but all in all this console is great and offers fun anywhere you go. 4.8/5

This system is excellent. It is my introduction to the world of the Nintendo Switch and it did not disappoint! I was not sure about the 50$ price difference from this model and the base model but I’m so glad I got it, the colors pop so nicely, the graphics are amazing, the larger screen is lovely, and I personally love the slick white color this system comes in too. Great battery life, it feels good and sturdy, overall it is just such an amazing system. My only gripe would just be how expensive the main Nintendo titles run (around 30-60$) but that’s to be expected I guess when buying a new system. Overall though, has already bought me so much fun in the short amount of time I’ve used it!

Its simple, this is an amazing console. It is a nice "upgrade" of the regular one, the screen looks amazing and the colors really do pop out. I will say if you have a regular one and its working great and you dont have any issues, dont really bother. However if something happened to your old one, if you can get this at a discount, or you are looking to give someone this console (your kid, a friend, family, etc), then definately consider it. Again, nothing revolutionary compared to the older model, but the switch itself has an incredible library of amazing games, and it is a great hybrid machine. Actually plays handheld and on the tv very well.

Such a good purchase. Got this as a second switch at our house. 3 kids and 1 adult all do video games. The bigger screen, better sound, longer battery life, and the kickstand all stand out as improvements over the original switch.
