I was already planning on getting a new switch as my first wave original switch was heating more than I was comfortable with and wasn’t holding much of a charge really. I figured I would fork out the extra 50 for the little bit bigger screen. Definitely worth it for me with my other issues. If you already have a switch, unless you already planned on replacing it for other reasons, I would say save your money as the upgrades are not worth it alone.

Anyone who may be on the fence about buying the OLED model, whether you have a switch lite or a V1/V2: Hello! A happy new year to you all! So, as the title suggests, I wanted to give my personal review of the OLED model. I caved a little bit after the holidays and upgraded, trading in my v2 switch! Personally, I love it.

The OLED version of the switch really is a more premium version of the device. It feels more substantial, and the extra screen real estate is a nice addition. It isnt earth shattering but it is really nice. The only downside is that if you are upgrading, a lot of cases won’t work with this version because of the different size. I’m sure companies will support it soon though.

This handheld console is so much fun! Love that you can take off the joy cons and play with friends and family.

Purchased for my 8 year old daughter. We utilize this device as an incentive or reward when my daughter isn’t playing softball or working on her mma. She further enjoys playing Fortnite with her older brother on his switch.

It is a good product in regards of portability when not playing in the PS5. Oled screen is better than LCD

The new OLED screen and the new kickstand are a great improvement. Also love the new white color scheme!

Worth the extra $50 for the OLED vs the standard switch if you use the handheld often. Also a big fan of the white controllers and docking station! Be sure to get a memory card though, it has very little storage space built in.

I upgraded to this OLED version from my older one. The OLED display is definitely good to play when not on TV. And the white looks really good on the TV console / stand. And this has better sound quality with more storage. So I could transfer all the games and more. If you don't own a Nintendo Switch at all yet, buy a Switch OLED.

Man o man!!! If you were born in the 80's, prepare to be taken back to your childhood with the games available to the Nintendo Switch and definitely get the OLED. I've used this a couple of times and my boyfriend has been on it constantly. I've had way more fun than I thought I would with this. I might need to get another one for me because it is really that much fun. There will be no disappointment here.
