I used some of my spare money to buy this for myself to bring to work and play in my downtime and by god it has been the best choice I've made. I was going to get the OG switch but I lucked out and happened to see this one in stock so I swiped one up and got it a couple days later. The battery lasts for up to 7 hours with near-constant gameplay.

He loves the improved memory, graphics, and thumb grips, on this new Switch. He also likes that it fits into the carrying cases he already has and that the extra joy-cons he had still work with the new one. He said it was money well spent.

Worth the money to upgrade

Better screen is worth it alone if you play in hand held mode primarily. Also glad they updated the kickstand as well compared to the small one on the earlier models.

Of course if you only play docked than there is little reason to upgrade. Deep inky blacks and infinite contrast strikingly clear .
