Couldn't be happier. This is the first Switch I have owned and used, so I can't compare it to the original or Lite variations, however, it is a great console. It feels good as a handheld and looks great because of the bright OLED screen. When docked, I did not expect games to look as good as they do on my TV. I am not entirely sure if it's because my LG CX is up-scaling content or perhaps due to the dock hardware (the dock that comes with the OLED version of the Switch has updated hardware over lesser versions) or both! What I can say for sure is that it is an awesome console and I am glad I was fortunate enough to snag one for MSRP thanks to Best Buy having good stock levels.

If you are interested in a switch and do not own one already... the OLED models are the ones to get now. Do not bother looking at the LCD models unless you get a bargain deal. The bigger screen, better color reproduction, battery life, and dock with ethernet connection are well worth skipping over the last version. If you already own a switch, the upgrade doesn't hold as much value in my opinion. Of course you could just sell your old switch to recoup some of that value if you really want the upgrades though. Definitely do not expect anything like upgrading from a ps4 to ps5 or anything like that. This is not a generational upgrade, only a revisional upgrade.

I love my new switch. It's still the best portable device for gaming. It'll be perfect for travel long battery life. My wife has the old switch and this new OLED panel is way better and a little bigger. Games are a little expensive and they are of course dialed down for performance on the switch. Regular controls are kind of hard for my hands. But it is a portable device where the other consoles aren't and you can play AAA games on it offline. So perfect for an airplane airport etc

Love the OLED white model. a good change to the normal color of the switch. screen is brighter the game overall feels better than the OG switch.

Love the new screen & graphics. Easy to add the regular controller to it. Game play is brighter. Looks great on my 4k tv. No lagging or pixelating

My daughter loves her upgraded switch. She had a switch lite and got the Oled for Christmas. Everything about it is better.

Love it! Easily purchased and picked up. The OLED screen is a lot nicer than the regular model, very happy that I went ahead and paid the little bit extra for it. Love the white as well. The dock looks very sleek on my entertainment center. Definitely need to get the SD card for extra storage

I always loved playing pokemon on my old gameboy and used to play it on my pc when that got old and faulty. But i finally decided to indulge myself in getting a nintendo switch and i have been loving it!

This consle it awsome and higly recommend the screen and graphics are way better and its also very portable bc of the size

Beautiful new OLED screen and great battery life. I love how simply the Nintendo Switch is to use and how many different ways there are to play the games. Definitely recommend!

Love how you can take this mobile. But for game nights you can put it to the Tv. The docking unit allows hardline network connection for strong connection. The OLED is amazing with crisp graphics mimic of Ps5. Great investment. Don't leave home without it. I did go on amazon and buy a unicorn bettle case so I can protect it in the event it drops. There is not really any bevels with it stock to prevent damaging the screen. Thats my only complaint. Great system otherwise.

Personally I think it's worth the upgrade for everyone but a must have for anyone that benefits from the upgrades over the base model. My son loves the kick stand and screen.

Decent upgrade, but not "life changing." Worth the extra $50 for users that play mostly handheld AND can appreciate the improved screen. That said the resolution is still 720p so, while the screen is bigger, brighter, more clear, it is not higher resolution. Aside from the improved screen, the OLED model offers a more stable kickstand and double the internal memory. However, 64GB still isn't enough over time. You will still need an SD card to store games if you buy games from the eShop. If you only buy game cartridges 64GB should be plenty. The other central "guts" of the system are also the same as the previous models so if you mostly play docked then skip this version as you will experience no improvement whatsoever. The dock included with the OLED model features a LAN port to wire directly to a modem or router, if desired. That is the only material hardware difference between the two docks. If you are considering a Switch for a younger child save the $50 and get the regular version instead since they are unlikely to recognize the difference between an LED and OLED screen or the smaller bezel. For $50, they'd probably enjoy an extra game instead.

For the extra $50 it cost compared to the standard switch, you get so much more, larger screen, graphics , its a winner for ease of playing games for clairity.

I just realized my last review was for the case and not the actual Nintendo! Oops! I love the case I purchased though, it is sturdy and preorders the switch! But the switch! Oof, I LOVE IT! Especially for the kiddos!

The best console ever made by Nintendo! The increased screen size is even a better upgrade than the OLED aspect, in my opinion. But the OLED is phenomenal, anyway!

The screen on the switch oled is the same 720p resolution as the previous model. However, the oled screen makes the darks even darker, and the brights even brighter. Colors pop and are vibrant. I have both the original nintendo switch and the oled and they both perform the same but the screen is definitely what sold me. I use it in handheld mode most of the time, and have my other switch docked to our tv. Very happy with my purchase.
