Have been since the beginning. So imagine my surprise when i basically blew my PS5 budget to get a Switch OLED!! Heres how it happened. My son is 4. He had expressed some interest in gaming so we tried some kids titles on my PS4. Nothing really resonated with him. They were either far too simple or far too complex. Enter Kirby. Somehow or other my son found playthroughs on youtube and he became obsessed. We decided to wait for his pre K graduation, then moved it up to Easter, then after a couple of days, i just freaking bought the OLED, and Kirby Forgotten Lands and Zelda Breath of the Wild and Pre Ordered Return to Dreamland. It all happened so fast that im still not sure what exactly happened. But i have the Switch and my son loves it and i love playing Kirby with him. Is it the best gaming system ever? No, not even close. But is it the best gaming experience for me and my kiddo? Yes, by a long shot. Guess the PS5 will have to wait awhile longer… thats my story. Hope it helps with your decision.

Should have been $50 cheaper and the base model should have gotten a price drop. That said, the screen is incredible and it's very nice to have a built in ethernet port on the dock.

You can't go wrong getting the switch if you love playing video games i think even gamers are going to love it maybe not the hardcore gamers though...

I play mostly handheld so this was totally worth the upgrade. Im personally not a fan of the “vivid” color setting (it actually hurt my eyes) so I turned that off but other than that its awesome. The blacks are super deep even in standard color mode.

I used to play a lot of Mario games many years before, and I didn’t think I’d ever go back to playing Mario again. Nintendo has made it easy to play a lot of my favorite Mario games from back in the day through the online store.

We tried both the OLED and the other one and the OLED is so much nicer. The screen is much larger and just better quality. I highly recommend the OLED over the lesser one.
