This Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart bundle exceeded my expectations! The improved hardware feels noticeably faster with crisp visuals, and Mario Kart loads quickly and runs super smooth. The Joy-Cons have great responsiveness with minimal drift — definitely an upgrade. I love the versatility of docking it to play on my TV or using it handheld. Battery life easily lasts through long sessions. Great bundle, especially with Mario Kart included!

I absolutely love the Nintendo switch 2. I’ve been team PlayStation for over 25 years and I can honestly say this system has some innovative features! The fact that you can play it 3 different ways is innovative on its own. It can be docked (connected to play) on the tv screen, handheld (play on the small screen) or you can just pull out the kickstand behind the switch screen to prop up the screen (you can disconnect the controllers on the side and both attachments turn into 2 controllers). I was mind blown. The Switch really took play anywhere to another level. I didn’t have a Switch 1 but I have no complaints about the Switch 2 so maybe they worked out the kinks and made a great console. The switch 2 doesn’t have a lot of new games but all the switch 1 games work on the switch 2. Including the switch 1 controllers… you just have to pair it. I personally bought the pro controller and switched “A and B buttons” in the system settings because I was so used to the traditional PlayStation controller. At first it was a learning curve but after I made action and back bottoms on the controller work like the PlayStation I was having a great time!!! Great investment. Another recommendation is a portable charger if you plan to have it on the go all the time. I’ve only heard the battery lasts about 4hrs. The most I can play a game is about 1.5hrs maybe 2… then I’m ready to be productive in life. I played for a hour and the battery went down only 23%. I just put it on the dock to change until next time. The controllers charge there too. Connect everything and dock it and your golden. However, If you’re a 5 -8 hr gamer keep that in mind. Another great feature is the dock takes up a small footprint. It’s about 6-8 inches max compared to PlayStations’ console looking like an old school thick encyclopedia- game console still well worth it by the way! Last night I just found out there’s an online feature where you can download all the classic Nintendo games from old Nintendo game boy advanced, game boy, game boy color, sega genesis, and Nintendo’s pixelated arcade era FOR FREE! Some require a $2 fee… some you can only play if you subscribe to the online membership. There’s a 7 day trial to check it out. If you’re a serious gamer $40 a year is well worth it to have all the Nintendo classics on your new 2025 console. I personally only downloaded Tetris but theres Pokémon snap, Pokémon stadium, bajo tootsie… all the Mario’s ever created on each Nintendo system….. the list goes on. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and I still haven’t gone into all the features. Oh and you NEED A MICRO SD EXPRESS for saving the games!!!! Regular micro SD won’t be fast enough. The switch 2 has a temper glass already on it but it scratches. I’d recommend a screen protector as soon as it comes out the box to protect your investment… or not.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a magnificent leap forward that manages to feel both familiar and brand new. While it retains the core hybrid concept that made the original so beloved, every aspect has been refined and upgraded, making it a truly exceptional console. For those looking for the definitive portable gaming experience, the Switch 2, especially bundled with the brilliant Mario Kart World, is a fantastic purchase. The most noticeable improvements are in the hardware and build quality. The console feels sturdier and more premium than its predecessor, with a refined design that is both elegant and durable. The new, bigger 7.9-inch screen is a major highlight, offering a sharp 1080p resolution and a vibrant display that makes games look absolutely gorgeous in handheld mode. This is a huge upgrade from the original Switch and makes a world of difference. The new speed and graphics are a game-changer. The custom NVIDIA chip delivers a massive performance boost, allowing for faster loading times and more fluid gameplay. Games look significantly better, with enhanced visuals and smoother frame rates that breathe new life into both new and backward-compatible titles. The bundled Mario Kart World is the perfect showcase for this power, with its stunning graphics and dynamic courses. The console is a testament to Nintendo's genius, providing an overdue but well-executed upgrade that feels more polished, powerful, and fun than ever before.

Coming over from the Steam Deck OLED, I wasn’t sure what to expect — but the Nintendo Switch 2 has absolutely blown me away. From the moment I powered it on, it was clear that this is more than just a sequel — it’s a complete reimagining of what portable gaming can be. Performance-wise, the Switch 2 is a beast. Games that previously struggled to maintain 30 FPS now run buttery smooth at 60 FPS, and load times are dramatically reduced. Titles like Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Smash Ultimate don’t just play better — they feel like upgraded versions, all thanks to the improved internals. One of the biggest surprises for me has been the backwards compatibility. My entire digital Switch library carried over effortlessly, and many of those games now run better out of the box — higher frame rates, more stability, and just an overall smoother experience. No re-buying, no hassle — just better performance. As someone used to the heft and size of the Steam Deck, I was amazed by how portable and comfortable the Switch 2 is. It’s lighter, more ergonomic, and the battery life feels significantly improved. The handheld mode is a dream — I can game for hours without hand fatigue, and the display is sharp, vibrant, and super immersive. In short: the Switch 2 is everything I hoped for and more. It honors your existing library, packs a serious punch in performance, and redefines what a hybrid console can be. If you’re on the fence, especially coming from something like a Steam Deck — this is 100% worth the upgrade. Nintendo absolutely nailed it.

    Much-Needed Refresh Shows Great Promise

Long overdue upgrade to the Nintendo Switch! Some say it's too expensive. But considering how the original Switch was around for nearly a decade, I'd say it's a pretty good deal if you break it down to a year-by-year cost! While the new system doesn't break a whole lot of new ground, aside from the mouse controls that might be used by some games, the upgrades keep Nintendo up to date with the most essential new TV and video game graphics technology. Playing more advanced games on the go, with a larger and much-improved screen from the original Switch is great. I also love that it's backward compatible with games and controllers from the original Switch! I suddenly have a great four-player setup thanks to the ability to use my old Joy-Cons. The bundled Mario Kart World is a perfect escape from today's reality. There's so much going on in each course, it's like playing an amusement park ride. Of course, the real test will be how good the games not yet released will be. So far indications are good we'll have some winners. I'm looking forward to Donkey Kong Bananza and Metroid Prime 4, among others. Nintendo's got a good track record, so fans of their games likely have nothing to worry about.

Mario Kart World bundle has been a blast! The console’s 7.9″ vibrant screen and powerful hardware make games look great in handheld and docked modes, and performance is smooth whether you’re racing or exploring other titles. Mario Kart World is a fun, fresh take on the classic racing series with seamless world design and up to 24‑player races that keep every session exciting. The included Joy‑Con 2 controllers feel comfortable, and the overall package delivers excellent value. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a versatile gaming system with a great launch title

I have really enjoyed playing with my nintendo switch 2! The screen size and graphics are amazing! As a novice gamer, this is fantastic. I will say that my only complaint is that the console becomes heavy on my hands while I am playing, but overall the experience has been great.

Wasn't going to upgrade because we already have both Switch and Switch OLED, but the games feel much smoother, the design is better (hated old kickstand). Christmas gift was just the excuse to purchase. Remember that your old controllers still work, they just can't physically slide on so you have to charge separately. You also need to get a new case as the size is significantly different. Don't expect old Dock to work, and you should also switch out HDMI cord if still using old one.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a solid upgrade with better graphics, faster performance, and improved controllers. It keeps the same hybrid design that made the original great, now with smoother gameplay and 4K support when docked. Battery life could be better, but overall it’s a fantastic console for the price.

I finally snagged the Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart World, and the upgrade is massive. If you were holding off on upgrading, this is the time. Everything feels faster—from menu navigation to game loading—and the visual leap is immediately noticeable, especially when docked to the TV. It still keeps that magic of jumping from the big screen to handheld mode, but now with a legitimate performance boost. The Mario Kart World inclusion is brilliant. It’s the ultimate console-launch title because it’s instant fun for everyone, and it really shows off the system’s smooth multiplayer capabilities right out of the box. The new controllers feel solid, too; a noticeable improvement in comfort and responsiveness. This is more than just a minor refresh; it's a huge step forward for Nintendo. This specific bundle provides immediate, high-quality fun and showcases the console's full potential. It's truly the essential way to dive into the Switch 2 ecosystem.

Fairly new to the modern Nintendo ecosystem as the previous Nintendo console I owned was the GameCube, but so far this system has exceeded my expectations. The fact you can play games at 4K 60 FPS in handheld mode is awesome, especially considering the thinness/weight of the device. It feels like a premium bit of kit.

Nintendo's newest console, the Switch 2, has delivered in pretty much every way. Not only is it backward compatible with all my original switch software, but Nintendo has finally released a system that is approaching the performance levels of the newest console generation. Also, the Mario Kart World bundle is a great way to save money if you're looking to buy that game as well. Innovative gameplay, improved hardware, and high accessibility for all skill levels- the Nintendo Switch 2 was a worthwhile purchase.

I had the first Switch and I think the Switch 2 is a great upgrade from the original system. Screen is large and games look beautiful. It runs better, storage is a LOT bigger and the joy-cons are very satisfying to detach and re-attach. The console's price is a little high in my opinion, but if you love Nintendo it's worth it. Biggest downside is the battery, barely lasts an hour depending on if you're playing a graphics intensive game or not; same as the first Switch.

This device has been a great upgrade from my OLED switch with a larger screen and a more premium feel. The backwards compatibility is great because all your old switch games carry over to the Switch 2 with upgraded visuals. The price is a little higher but its to be expected with the rising cost. Save $30 by going with this version instead of buying mario kart world and the console seperately.

This definitely felt like an upgrade. Initially, I was a bit hesitant about buying it, but I’m glad I did. The larger display is really nice, and it runs incredibly smoothly. My only complaint is that I wish they made Joy-Cons that were a bit thicker. The larger design makes it uncomfortable to hold the console for extended periods, especially for someone with large hands.

    Nintendo Switch 2 Review

The console itself is an improvement on the original Switch: larger console but not so much that it feels unwieldy, crisper display, and faster processing power. I like how the Joy-Cons magnetically snap into the console as opposed to sliding in on the original Switch. However, I have noticed that the loading time for a few games feels just as long if not longer than on the Switch but I have not measured the time elapsed so I cannot definitively confirm. Its battery life also seems to drain faster when the Switch 2 is simply sitting on my TV stand undocked but in sleep mode. The price is exorbitant for the limited selection of dedicated Switch 2 games and I bought this begrudgingly so I could play titles such as Mario Kart World with my friends. Speaking of which, the game itself is fine but nothing stellar. You are presented with many characters and vehicles to select from and it includes a few new items to utilize during races. However, the course selection feels limited for a 'world' game especially after playing Mario Kart 8 for so many years. The sheer number of opponents in races feels overwhelming and almost frustrating because you are constantly bombarded with items depending on what place you're in which makes progress difficult. I don't really like how, in the Grand Prix mode, most of the time spent during the subsequent races is traversing the area between the former course to the next one so by the time you reach the latter, the race is practically over. That just feels weird to me. Finally, the Free Roam is by far my least favorite; it is mind-numbingly boring with practically nothing to do except drive around. Those challenges interspersed throughout the land are not engaging enough either to compel me to continue exploring. Overall, the Switch 2 is an improvement on the first Switch but is quite expensive and Mario Kart World is better off being played with friends but even then you might find yourself losing interest. I would recommend this product only if you have enough money saved and there are multiple upcoming Switch 2 games you are interested in playing

I was going to hold off on the Switch 2 until some reviews accumulated but, it went on sale just before Christmas and couldn't resist. Nintendo has some strict do's and don't's with their consoles aimed against any unofficial modifications and such. It could brick your system, but I never do mods, so I'm good there. Even if you play with the Switch 2 docked, like me, be sure to get a tempured glass screen protector because the Swtich 2 has a light protective film on the LCD that can scratch very easily. Game play is smooth and and beautiful. No functional issues whatsoever. You will need more storage eventually, and the only compatible SD cards are the NEW Micro SD "Exress" cards. Normal micro SD cards will not be recognized, including the one from your original Switch. These "Express" cards are on the expensive side, so maybe hold off until they come down in price or absolutely need one. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase, but these consolest's are just getting too expensive for me. Game purchases will be slow and selective and most likely, only while on discount. Regardless of any slight negatives, every second of use is enjoyable!

Me and my partner got it as a gift for ourselves and have been enjoying it ever since. We're both out and about often so being able to kill time with games on the go or to other people's places with ease. Me personally it's what I was looking for in the first switch: better performance, better screen, and bigger form factor as the og switch was too small for my hands and cramped after half an hour of playtime.

I’m really enjoying the nintendo switch 2 , It runs older switch 1 games way better and the visuals look fantastic on the switch 2. I know there’s not alot of games out yet for the switch 2, But I really like Mario Kart World and Dk Bonanza. Fast Fusion is also a very good game that you can get in the Nintendo eshop for $14.99. Everything just feels so much more fluid and games run so much better on switch 2. Also the Nintendo switch 2 pro controller is way better and a must have. The screen on the Nintendo switch 2 imo is very good and it’s so good that I sold my Oled switch. Another great thing about the Nintendo switch 2 is Nintendo actually listened and the cover for the game card slot is very easy to open now and feels so much more premium. More great games will be coming and I’m excited to see what Nintendo brings to the table. Imo Nintendo Switch 2 is worth the upgrade, You don’t need to wait for Oled. So if you’re in the market for a Nintendo switch 2 , I would say go for it. Hope this helps and happy gaming everyone.
