Love it, bigger screen, bigger controllers, bigger everything. Still waiting for more new games but the power performance is so good when playing older games. Helps with having a short loading screen.

Nintendo Switch 2 - Worth the wait, and the cost

I love my new console! The Nintendo Switch 2 does not disappoint. It may seem similar to the original on first glance, but the hardware diffences make themselves known. The new screen is larger and has a crisper image. It's not OLED, but I found the quality improvements make that virtually unnoticeable. My games load much faster, and the animations seem to be smoother. It feels more ergonomic, possibly because it's wider and the controllers aren't cutting into the base of your palms as much. The new joy-cons feel built with more quality. They fit more comfortably in your hands, and have less annoying "clicky sounds" when playing than the original. Motion tracking games seem to perform better with them. Finally, the included Mario Cart World game is a blast to play and very visually appealing. My family have played it countless times already and it's our new favorite in the series.

This console is fantastic and absolutely worth it. The screen looks great with vibrant colors and smooth performance, whether playing handheld or docked on a TV. Setup was quick and easy, and everything worked perfectly right out of the box.

The switch 2 is just a better performing switch 1 (the obvoius i know) if you got an oled or og just stick with that most games at the time of review don't take advantage of the better specs anyway. The weight of the console undocked doesn't sound like a problem until you realise how unergonomic it is the weight makes it harder to keep steady especially on car rides, which admittedly is just a minor annyonce until your aiming in any game.(seriously why not add a slight bump or some texture to the joycons it shouldn't cost much more.) So in short bigger more powerful switch they really should have done more with the exterior.

Big upgrade to the original Switch. Especially in handheld mode. The screen alone is worth the price.

Worthy Upgrade from the OG Switch

I upgraded to the Switch 2 from my original launch-day Switch, and the difference is night and day. The larger, upgraded screen is a game-changer—I find myself playing in handheld mode far more than I ever did with the OG model. It’s vibrant, immersive, and makes every session feel fresh again. Performance is another huge win. Games like Breath of the Wild run noticeably smoother—no more frame drops disrupting the experience. Nintendo clearly stepped up their hardware game. The updated Mario Kart included with the system is a great bonus. It’s not just a rehash—it feels like a thoughtful refresh of a classic that makes jumping back into races feel exciting again. If you’ve got kids, this is a fantastic console to have around. It’s easy to use, family-friendly, and packed with games that are fun for all ages.

Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario kart world

The new Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World is a stellar step up in Nintendo’s hybrid gaming lineup. The upgraded hardware shines with a crisp 7.9″ 1080p screen, smoother graphics, and responsive performance whether you’re playing handheld or docked on a large screen. The magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers feel more solid and ergonomic than previous models, and the overall build quality feels premium and durable. Mario Kart World is a standout launch title. It pushes the franchise forward with a sprawling world that lets you race seamlessly across interconnected courses, dynamic weather, and varied environments that feel fresh and exciting. You will love the open world exploration and smooth online play, making it one of the franchise’s most ambitious entries yet. Backward compatibility opens up the entirety of the switch one’s gaming library and even optimizes many prior games to run much smoother on the new hardware, breathing life back into some games. Overall I love the system and look forward to Nintendo and other developers squeezing every ounce of power out of this hybrid system.

This system is so kid friendly, but fun for the parents too! Definitely glad we purchased the bundle with MarioKart included. Love that we can take this on the go and the screen is big enough for both of them to play together on the go. Highly recommend for intro to video games for kids.

Switch 2 has been pretty awesome so far. Mario cart is always a win with the while fam. Looking forward to playing the new Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong looks pretty solid. The Switch 2 is built pretty well and handles better than the.original. The new joy cons are great how they connect now instead of the slide then click in place. I know alot of people have been giving it grief but it.does what is me t to do play kick butt nintendo games just like all the systems before. SNES that was the best overall but hey im old school :)

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a fantastic improvement over the original. The graphics are smoother, load times are much faster, and the overall performance feels very polished. The portability is still one of the best features—you can easily switch from handheld to TV mode without any hassle. The included Mario Kart World makes it even better; it’s colorful, exciting, and perfect for playing with friends or family. The controls are responsive, and the new tracks add tons of replay value. I would highly recommend this bundle to anyone looking for a console that combines fun, flexibility, and great value.

We just love and play this all of the time! Good fun for the whole family and its so great to be able to play the old games and downloads, and most of the old controllers on it as well and retire the old Switch to the box. Beautiful graphics! A bit pricey though than it should be. But its Nintendo and we always buy them going back to the 80s!

I haven’t play any of the Mario, Zelda and Do key King games. The ones I did play were on the SNES and GameCube like Mario Sunshine. I bought a Wii, but really didn’t play it. Anyways, I missed playing the classic games and bought this Switch 2. I picked here on Best Buy because it was the one offering Mario Car on the bundle and no other store did. I bought it the switch 2 and got me the subscription to play some of the classics and so far I been enjoying myself a lot. The reason I wanted a switch was to play the classics and some old games and because there are times that I don’t want to seat and play games and just want to lay on bed and instead of looking at my phone, play some games online and that’s what the switch brought to me and even if I want to play it on a big screen, the switch provide me with that option too. A friend told me I could had bought the PS5, but I got the PS4 and still haven’t play all the games that I got on my PS4, so a PS5 isn’t that appealing to me right now.

A Great Update to a Great System...

A great little system, so far. My kids absolutely love Mario Kart World, and this version just updates and upgrades all the things we liked about Switch 1. The controllers are especially nice, but only time will tell if the drift issue from the previous models has actually been fixed, like they said. We all love the bigger screen, and enhanced graphics as well, all though it is less portable, although not egregiously so. Biggest plus is being able to use all our previous games and even getting a free upgrade to some of them via our Nintendo Online account. Breath of the Wild has been given new life and I'm playing it again. It's pricey but considering the lifespan of the previous system (which was much longer than the average Games Workshop game) and all the fun we had with it, we expect to get a lot of use out of this one, so it was worth the cost.

A clear upgrade over the original Nintendo Switch in nearly every way. Far better performance, great build quality (the system feels great to play in handheld mode), and most Switch games work through backwards compatibility in addition to the growing library of Switch 2 games. My only disappointment is that the battery life is a little lacking, but it's still good enough in most cases.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is everything I hoped for and more. The graphics are sharper, load times are faster, and the battery life is noticeably improved. The new screen is vibrant and smooth whether playing handheld or docked. Pairing it with Mario Kart World was the perfect choice, it’s fast, colorful, and great for family game nights. Setup was quick, the controls feel solid, and the performance is flawless so far. If you loved the first Switch, this upgrade is 100% worth it.

Excellent console and upgrade from Switch 1

I have been waiting for Nintendo's next console for a while, and I'm happy to say I'm really enjoying it so far, having been playing and using it for a little over a month now. I appreciate the substantial upgrade while having familiarity with the Switch 1. I mainly use it in docked mode with a TV, and it's excellent! New and older games I have played and tested work well, with some Switch 1 games getting a nice little performance bump to make the experience even better. Some things could be improved, such as the unfortunate lack of VRR in docked mode, as of now. (I am hopeful Nintendo can figure it out and bring it an update.) HDR calibration is a little weak, leading me to mess with TV settings and the console settings for a good image. And when I do use the console as a handheld, the battery life is less than desired. Not a terrible problem for me, as I primarily don't use it that way anyway. Still, it's also slightly uncomfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. I even had the sides of the controllers pinch my skin a bit when holding it. However, it is definitely an improvement over the original, but still can be improved. Other than the price being a bit higher than I would or many appreciate for the console, and Switch 2 games, I still say it's worth it for people who have a Switch 1 to replay or experience new games, or someone who never had a Nintendo Switch at all as a great console to experience the hybrid console from Nintendo.
