    Switcharoo to SwitchaTwo!

Make the Switch to Switch 2! Whether you have the first Switch or not at all, give the Switch 2 a go. It’s not perfect—could have more storage, screen could’ve been OLED, could’ve been assured no repeat issues of drift, but there are definitely improvements.

If you regularly use the original Switch and are wanting the latest and greatest, this is it. Games that struggle on the Switch 1 such as the newer Zelda titles and Pokemon play flawlessly on the Switch 2. Solid performance with no frame drops. I would say as a disclaimer though that if the currently released Switch 2 titles are not one of your ‘must-haves’ and the current Switch games that you play run fine, you may not get the full worth out of a Switch 2 until more games that take advantage of the Switch 2 are released. Overall though a great system.

The switch 2 is such a good upgrade from the switch 1. The processing speed, graphics, and screen size makes this the perfect upgrade

To me the Switch 2 is worth it especially upgrading from the switch OLED. Performance is way better with 3rd party games and the same can be said when you play Switch 1 games. though i do wish there was more storage. Overall, great console.

Switch 2 Console & Mario Kart World

This was written within one month of the console's launch. Much may change over time. Console: Overall, I'm satisfied with Switch 2. The console itself feels comfortable to use handheld. It runs better than the original Switch, even with Switch 1 games. The mouse controls are an addition with a lot of potential, though it has yet to be fully utilized. Technology like DLSS will hopefully allow the system to run demanding games acceptably. Currently there aren't a lot of original games on it which I'm interested in playing on the system, but I'm confident that will improve quickly over the first year based on Nintendo's history. The motion-clarity of the screen has become a complaint for some. It doesn't bother me personally, but I'd recommend testing the system first to see if you're sensitive to it. It also remains to be seen if design problems like joystick drift will happen over time the way they did with Switch 1. Mario Kart World: "Mario Kart World" is a good game, and perhaps may be improved by Nintendo over time. However, as it stands at launch I'd rate it 8/10; it's fun but clearly a first iteration on a new open-world concept. Exploration lacks a satisfying sense of progression, and it's easier to fall out-of-bounds during normal races because the boundaries are less clear than past games. For comparison I'd rate "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" 9/10; it's currently the best version of the traditional formula even if there's room for improvement. Given the choice between MKW and MK8 I'd probably recommend MK8 even if they were the same price. But I'm happy to have MKW.

So far, it is a great extension of the original switch. Better performance, and everything else is very similar. Better performance, bigger screen, and the UI is pretty much the same, which was great. It feels like a great extension of the original switch

Never having owned the Switch 1, I wasn't sure what to expect but my family loves it. Surprised how easy it is to pop out of the holder and keep playing on the go. Graphics are a nice upgrade and looking forward to the upcoming exclusives

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a huge upgrade and easily Nintendo’s best console yet. It keeps the fun, flexible hybrid design everyone loves while delivering smoother performance, sharper graphics, and faster load times. Games look better, run more fluidly, and feel more immersive both handheld and docked. The larger, clearer screen, improved controls, stronger hardware, and expanded storage make everyday gameplay more enjoyable. It’s also backward compatible, so you can jump right into your existing game library—now with better performance. Add improved online features and portability, and it’s an all-around win.

This console is a great value at its current price. The graphics are impressive for something you can play on the go, and it just has a lot of flexibility. You can play on your TV traditionally, play it anywhere in handheld mode, and it’s even sort of a Wii with the motion controls some games use. Been having tons of fun since I bought this.

Its been fantastic, at 500 I thought it was a tad expensive, but it plays really well and it does everything I wanted for the next generation of switch. And the discount for getting Mario Kart World was worth it. I have had a blast not only playing by myself, but also having people over to play! I have had it since launch and play it pretty intensively. And controllers are still working really well.

Should probably be 3 stars but I’ll give it 4 because I never had the original Switch. Not sure this is worth it for people who have Switch 1. It should really be called a Switch Pro since it is essentially the same console as the previous model with some marginal upgrades. It now has the power of a PS4 so I guess that’s good. Overall it’s fun, and nice for kids but I’m finding the game selection to be pretty bad and basically right now we just have a bunch of Switch 1 titles along with the new Mario Kart. This console is very underwhelming and they took streaming apps away. Unreal. Nintendo has gone downhill. I also don’t like joy cons. They charge $100 for those things WITHOUT the connector dock. You have to spend so much for accessories. I prefer the pro controller but it’s also like $90. How that controller costs more than a dualsense is mind boggling.one more negative that in handheld mode the thing is just too heavy. That’s coming from an adult. For a kid it’s just too much to hold. My kids use it more on the tv or tabletop.
