Great Christmas Gift!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our boys received this from Santa for Christmas and absolutley love it! The larger screen and easy to remove control handles are awesome improvements to the new platform. We are excited to see what games come out, while still being able to use the old games as they are backwards compatible.

Great System
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid system, battery life is a bit short but with the graphic upgrades it makes sense. The larger size is much better on the hands which I appreciate. Donkey Kong bananza has been my top played game.

Great upgrade, worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 is a solid upgrade from the original. Performance is noticeably better, games run smoother, and load times are much faster. The screen looks great in handheld mode, and the console feels more polished overall. Setup was easy, and it works perfectly with my existing Switch games and accessories. If you enjoyed the original Switch, this is absolutely worth the upgrade.

What We Wanted But Not Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 is everything the fans asked for. It's more powerful, has more built-in storage, a second usb-c port, and a larger screen. It also includes some things that the fans didn't ask for: 120 HZ refresh rate screen with variable refresh rate, magnetically attached joy-cons, mouse-mode in the joy-cons. Those are nice bonuses for sure and everyone is going to rave about those features, so let's talk about the not so good. A larger screen results in a larger, heavier system. That's fine for a console that sits in a dock on your TV stand. But for something handheld, it causes fatigue just a bit faster than the previous Switch. Nintendo also did nothing to help the ergonomics again, and if you didn't need grips on the last Switch, you might find you do this time. More power and a high refresh rate screen both mean much more battery consumption. So, unfortunately, you're losing a significant amount of battery life in comparison to the most recent Switch - the OLED, and even the outgoing "version 2" LCD Switch has about 30% more battery life. Finally, the new Switch 2 has much more built-in storage, but 256 gb is absolutely not enough in 2025 when other consoles come with 1 or 2 tb and a single game can be 250 gb. Hence, you will likely need to buy a MicroSD card. Unfortunately, you can't use any you had for your original Switch, as the new model requires MicroSD Express, a much faster - yet MUCH more expensive - format. Overall, it's a fantastic piece of hardware, and the power is amazing for a handheld in this price range. Nintendo had a change to knock it out of the park, but part of the shortcomings are inherent to the limits of technology today, and partly bad design decisions. I'll enjoy mine, but if they release a "lite" version that's the size and weight of the original Switch, I will be trading in for that one!

Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switch 2 is absolutely amazing! Insane build quality, runs buttery smooth, and full backward compatibility means all my old games look and play better than ever. Nintendo nailed it best console I've ever owned! Games like Zelda Tears of the Kingdom run way smoother than on the previous generation it was worth every single dollar spent on this console."

Nintendo Switch 2 System Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product for anyone of all ages. The system is very easy to use for a new person to get the hang of. The system is very friendly to those who have used any of the Nintendo Switch systems before. Only downside is storage. If want to have a lot of games on your console, you will need to dish out the extra money for the MicroSD card, but they aren't terribly expensive. If you only have 2-5 games, you can use the internal storage.

Great Buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo Switch 2: A Monumental Leap Forward! I've been a dedicated Switch fan since day one, but the Nintendo Switch 2 is more than just an upgrade—it's a complete revolution for hybrid gaming. Nintendo has taken everything that made the original great and polished it to a mirror sheen, delivering an experience that feels truly next-gen. Performance & Graphics: Stunning Clarity The immediate difference is the visual fidelity. The new, larger OLED screen is absolutely gorgeous, making old favorites look brand new and giving launch titles a stunning depth and clarity. Playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at a buttery-smooth 60fps, in true 4K resolution when docked, is an experience I didn't know I was missing. Load times are practically non-existent thanks to the new processor, which keeps the action fast and fluid whether you're docked or on the go. The Joy-Con Pro: Finally Perfected The redesigned "Joy-Con Pro" controllers are a massive improvement. The dreaded drift issue seems to be completely resolved, and the new magnetic locking mechanism feels sturdy and satisfying. I particularly love the improved ergonomic grips and the new haptic feedback, which provides incredibly subtle and realistic sensations—a real game-changer for immersion. Battery Life and Design Battery life has seen a significant boost, easily getting me through long travel days without needing a charge. The console itself retains the brilliant hybrid design, but the new, robust kickstand is a small but critical detail that makes tabletop mode much more stable and enjoyable. Final Verdict The Nintendo Switch 2 is not just a console; it’s an ecosystem perfected. If you were holding out for an upgrade or are looking to jump into the Nintendo world for the first time, this is the console to get. It delivers the magic, power, and portability that gaming deserves. Highly, highly recommended!

Switch 2
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Switch 2. Can play all my old digital purchases from Switch 1 and my new games in stunning quality. Finding it in store was kind of a pain. The poor floor guy did't even know they had them in stock and I was about to go to a different store to pick it up. Luckily I had an instore pick up for another item and found it there. All in all a great system.

So fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was talked into getting the new Switch 2 when buying games for my son's Switch 1 and I am really glad I did. Even though it was a Christmas gift for my son I think my husband and I have played it the same amount as our son :) it's so fun. The controllers are way better than the 1, and the bigger screen is perfect when it's not hooked up to the TV.

Worth-it upgrade + perfect family bundle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle for launch weekend and it’s been a home run for our household. The console feels like everything I loved about the original Switch, just faster, sleeker, and more stable. Setup took about 10 minutes, and transferring our profiles and saves was painless. The new screen looks fantastic in handheld—colors pop and outdoor glare is noticeably better—and docked play feels smoother with snappier load times. As for Mario Kart World: instant classic. The track variety is wild, the new mechanics add depth without scaring off younger players, and online races have been rock solid so far. Local multiplayer still shines—four Joy-Cons, a couch, and chaos in the best way. This bundle basically gives you the party game you’ll play for years on day one.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 is a worthwhile purchase, $450. The console’s improved screen quality and speed make a real difference in both handheld and docked modes. Everything feels smoother, and the new display is a big win. Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So to start this is my first switch, so i dont have anything to compare it to. As far as first times go, this has blown me away. Performance is great, and the screen looks really good. The battery life has been a bit annoying as I usally run out before I’m done with a gaming session, but it is what it is.

Good quality graphics.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Supee fast shipping. The switch itself is super cool. The graphics are super clear and more detailed. You can pass down previous downloads from the first switch. So you can play even more games. The controller is smooth and has good grip. Really fast changing. The switch is bigger and has a nice screen super light in weight. Super good gift or for oneself. When you play games the graphics are clear very good definition. And easy for all ages. Love it highly recommend. :)

Must buy for gaming fans.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It feels like this is the promise of everything that the Switch should have been. It's a joy to hold and play on portably, and in a dock it shines in 4k. Games, especially updated ones, are plentiful. It has become my preferred platform, knocking my beloved Steam Deck down from the winners podium. I'll ding it a tiny bit for Game Key Cards, but I feel like that problem will solve itself in the future. A must buy for any fan of gaming.

Solid machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth 450-500 by a long shot but I used gift cards accumulated through my employer. A solid performing and well bullt console. Cant wait to see what games come out to really push this hardware. Solid build quality. The screen and battery life are excellent. Sound is acceptable for a handheld. It annoys me that we have to buy upgrade packs to take advantage of the better performace on games already owned. As a PC gamer this feels like being robbed tbh. For this reason the switch 2 gets 4 stars. If it goes on sale or some amazing exlusive pops up (cough cough FROMSOFT) go for it. Otherwise its just not worth the money right now.

It was time to Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the first generation Nintendo Switch, which was enjoyable. But, it was time. Improved performance, graphics, and a larger size….it was just time! PLUS, picked up Mario Cart World in the bundle, which was a welcomed discount as opposed to buying separately.

Sturdier, Faster, Still on Probation
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s get one thing straight — I bought the original Switch, enjoyed it for a solid month, and fully intended to return it… but the wife disagreed so we kept it under mild emotional duress. Fast forward to the Switch 2, and this time, I gave it a shot willingly. Here’s the breakdown from someone who returns literally everything: Performance: Noticeably smoother. I booted up a Mario game and didn’t hear the fan scream like it was doing CrossFit. Frame rates? Solid. My kids noticed, which is wild because they didn’t notice when I got new floors. Screen: It’s sharper than the original and easier on the eyes, even if it’s not OLED. Still, looks good enough to get roasted by in-game characters in high clarity. Battery life: Respectable. Won’t power a road trip, but will survive a few Fortnite tantrums before collapsing. Joy-Cons 2.0: They feel sturdier, but I’m still side-eyeing them like they owe me child support. No drift yet… but I’ve been hurt before. Price + Games: The console isn’t cheap, and the game prices? Might put you in a light financial coma. $70 to get stomped by 8-year-olds in Mario Kart feels personal. Final verdict: Did I try to find reasons to return it? Yes. Did I actually return it? No. That’s basically a standing ovation coming from me. If you’ve got the budget and the nostalgia, the Switch 2 is worth it. Just remember to hide it from your kids until you’ve had a chance to play once.
