EXPENSIVE but Really Fun/Practical
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everyone is right, the price is a little insane. I did upgrade from the original switch however and I absolutely love the 2. I think the Mario kart bundle is the way to go if you love Mario kart. I do wish it came with more personalized stuff as it is a bundle, so usually they do fun stuff with those. I also with the accessories weren't a million dollars to just get new joycons or a dang racing wheel. I love the screen and the joycons. The updated games are really fun to play. I think switch just makes it a one stop shop for these games as most people don't know how to play games on other devices at a better quality.

A great follow up to the Switch 1
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about the Switch 2: 1) The bigger & faster screen, 2) The more comfortable joy-cons, 3) The faster frame-rates and higher resolution in games. I think that is price difference is definitely warranted (when comparing it to the Steamdeck, ROG Ally, etc.)

Great console. Poor ergonomics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch 2 is Nintendo’s most iterative console in decades; but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The original switch was nearly a perfect console and the switch 2 improves on its predecessor in nearly every metric focusing specifically on performance. It has dramatically increased ram, storage and a much more powerful gpu. Excited to see what 1st party Nintendo devs can do with this new hardware. The console also feels more premium in hand with a a better build quality and screen is also brighter. My only complaints are the lack of an oled screen, middling battery life and frankly terrible ergonomics in handheld mode

Really love the Switch and can’t regret.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven’t play any of the Mario, Zelda and Do key King games. The ones I did play were on the SNES and GameCube like Mario Sunshine. I bought a Wii, but really didn’t play it. Anyways, I missed playing the classic games and bought this Switch 2. I picked here on Best Buy because it was the one offering Mario Car on the bundle and no other store did. I bought it the switch 2 and got me the subscription to play some of the classics and so far I been enjoying myself a lot. The reason I wanted a switch was to play the classics and some old games and because there are times that I don’t want to seat and play games and just want to lay on bed and instead of looking at my phone, play some games online and that’s what the switch brought to me and even if I want to play it on a big screen, the switch provide me with that option too. A friend told me I could had bought the PS5, but I got the PS4 and still haven’t play all the games that I got on my PS4, so a PS5 isn’t that appealing to me right now.

Great upgrade from the original switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been playing this every day since getting it, the upgrade is much better than I thought from the original switch. The larger screen and refreshed joycons make it a lot more satisfying to play handheld.

Good unit
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the new size for the Switch and the magnetic Joy Cons. Much easier and user friendly than needing to slide them on and off. The bundle is the way to go if you are a Mario Kart fan. You are saving $30 off the regular price of the game. The graphics are good, but I don't notice much of a difference. Sound is better as well.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent console, now bring on the games!! Many improvements over the original in every way imaginable. Feels more premium, has a better screen, the buttons are bigger, decent battery life, magnetic joy cons are amazing. I can’t wait to see what comes out for this thing in the future.

Nintendo Switch 2 Review: Snappier JoyCons
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 delivers a noticeably sleeker package—thinner at 0.55 inches, with a premium matte finish, sturdier kickstand, and refined 10.7-inch-wide body weighing just 1.2 lbs with controllers attached. It's more portable yet imposing, blending familiarity with polish. Magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers are a revelation—a satisfying snap-on/off beats the old rail system's wobble and wear, with larger grips, chunkier buttons, and mouse mode for precise pointing in games like Fortnite. No drift issues yet, and they're comfier for extended play. The 7.9-inch 1080p LCD shines in handheld with HDR, 120Hz VRR, and pretty crisp visuals. Some downsides to note. Battery lasts 2-6.5 hours (often 2-3 for AAA like Mario Kart World), shorter than OLED. Wish they carried over the OLED screen as the LCD shows some ghosting vs. OLED blacks.

Happy customer and family.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switch 2 is an excellent console for both kids and adults. We’re having a great time with it and have deemed it a worthy follow up to the original Switch console. The big screen helps a lot for older family members with visibility issues and the joycons are very comfortable. I haven’t noticed any drift yet but we’ll see.

Nintendo Switch 2 trumps all other game systems.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Nintendo Switch 2, despite there being only one Nintendo game at launch they delivered in being able to play switch 1 games, like both Zelda’s and free updates to others to make them more standard for 2025. When I heard about the Switch 2, all I really cared about is that it was just a better switch, so those games that didn’t run well on the original switch can now hit their frame caps. Another thing about the Switch 2 I wanna mention is that it has this new mouse mode for games that play better with a mouse, Which was really cool and puts it over Playstation and Xbox in my eyes. The Joycons themselves are okay, definitely better than the old ones for the Switch 1, the sticks are a bit too sensitive. The GameChat and built in Microphone into the Switch 2 works really well and sounds great, it filters out background noises and you can even talk from super far away and your pals will be able to hear you great. Mario Kart World is a great switch 2 game and excites me for the new ones to come, a perfect example of a great nintendo game. The Nintendo Switch 2 is a great package especially if you get Mario Kart World with it, definitely worth it.

The Ultimate Family Console: Seamless Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a family of four, finding a gaming system that works for everyone—from the adults to our 12-and 9 year-old—isn’t easy. The Nintendo Switch 2 has honestly been one of the best upgrades we’ve made for our home entertainment, and here’s why. First, the improvements are noticeable right away. The new screen is brighter and sharper, which makes a huge difference when the kids are playing in handheld mode. Our 12-year-old loves the smoother graphics and faster load times, especially for action games. For the adults, it just feels more polished and modern. What we liked most is how family-friendly it is. With so many of us, the ability to quickly switch between docked mode and handheld is a lifesaver. We can have a group playing Mario Kart on the TV while someone else uses the handheld for homework breaks or quiet time. The upgraded Joy-Cons feel sturdier too—important in a house where controllers get “enthusiastically” used. Multiplayer nights are where the Switch 2 shines. The system handles multiple users and profiles easily. Local multiplayer feels smoother, and online play has been much more stable compared to our old Switch. If we had one complaint, it’s that some of the accessories and extra controllers add up in cost when buying for the family. But the quality of the system itself makes it worth it. Overall, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been a great fit for our large family and especially for our 12-year-old and 9- year old, who use it daily. It’s fast, fun, and flexible—exactly what we needed.

Nintendo Switch 2: A Brilliant Evolution
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the moment you pick it up, the system feels more premium and responsive. Performance is noticeably smoother, with faster load times and sharper visuals that elevate both new releases and returning favorites. Games run more consistently, even in handheld mode, without sacrificing the portability that made the original Switch so iconic. What truly stands out is how seamless the experience feels. Backward compatibility allows existing Switch games to shine with improved stability and clarity, making the upgrade feel instantly rewarding. The improved controllers are more comfortable for longer play sessions, and subtle UI enhancements make navigating the system faster and more intuitive. Most importantly, the Switch 2 preserves Nintendo’s core strength: fun. Whether you’re playing docked on a TV with friends or curled up on the couch in handheld mode, the console delivers the same sense of joy and accessibility that defines Nintendo at its best. The Switch 2 isn’t just a successor, it’s a confident step forward. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, it’s a console that feels thoughtfully designed, future-ready, and unmistakably Nintendo.

4.5/5! Great console.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great release of the Switch 2! Visuals are stunning and gameplay feels smooth. I’ve enjoyed Nintendo games all my life and playing future Nintendo games with this updated tech has me stoked. Only disappointment console-wise is the battery life. To this, the Switch 2 feels like a catch-up with other consoles and handhelds (namely the Steam Deck). Doesn’t have that feel of exceeding current tech. If you’re a big Nintendo fan, make plans to get it. If you’re not that into Nintendo games but enjoy video games in general, may need to put more thought into purchasing.

Fantastic Hybrid Console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great console, especially if you’re upgrading from the original Switch. Great feel on the handheld but do keep in mind with the extra storage game files potentially could be bigger

Great update to a great console lineup!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo did a great job of improving on an already great console while not overthinking it and changing the things that worked. The new joy cons feel even more premium, the magnetic attachment is addicting, and the larger size makes them feel much better if using a singly joy con for gaming (i.e. local play on Mario Kart with friends). Screen is larger and comes with a built in screen protector which balances not being too bulky when in handheld mode while not feeling to small. Kick stand is also a HUGE upgrade. Also, a lot of the negatives have more to do with the launch lineup (which isn't an issue with the console itself but Nintendo release time frame or decision making) and because people think naming it Switch 2 is the equivalent to the Wii U debacle. For some reason people seem to forget that other companies create a product and just use a numbering system for their next iteration (PS1, PS2, PS3, iPhone X, iPhone XI, iPhone XII, Galaxy, tablets, etc). Easily the best handheld gaming experience, the steam deck is unwieldy compared.

Boys had to have it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When the Switch first got released, I got lucky and found a Best Buy that had some in stock the morning after the midnight release. The console had the typical 1st gen issues (overheating and drifting). When the Switch 2 was announced my boys both saved up to buy it. One bought it at Best Buy and the other at another retailer. The one who bought it from the other retailer received it on release day. The one who bought from Best Buy did not. In fact, the console from Best Buy was shipped from NY to Florida on release day. It was expected to arrive two days later, but a problem from the freight company made it another day late. The purchase from Best Buy was the bundle with Mario Kart. Both boys say the performance of the console is much better than the original Switch. That performance improvement is whether used as a handheld or connected to the TV. The expense of the express SD card has held up those purchases, but the on-board memory has been sufficient so far. They are both still waiting to get cases and other accessories which will probably be when they finally take a break from playing.

Great Following of the original.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system overall, its pretty much a "2" really so no major surprises Sofware wise, if you like the original Switch you will love this one. It is far more comfortable than the original one, I could finish Donkey Kong Bananza on portable mode, in the original I could not play any game more than an hour. The 2 major drawbacks of this console are 3 No oled screen whcih is a shame. Although powerful for a portable considering the price I think Nintendo could have made it a bit more powerful to secure 60 fps 3rd party games The UI is way too simple and lack customization just like the original. All that aside is a great console thats worth the money.
