Overall, it's a nice improvement from the original. The enlarged screen is nice, and the joycons feel much nicer. Unfortunately, setup was a pain, and having to switch out both the HDMI and the power source to make it work properly was annoying. The old ac adaptor wouldn't power it in the dock, and apparently, my old HDMI cord wasn't shielded enough and caused the joycon to disconnect every 15 seconds. Long story short, just save yourself the trouble and hook it up with everything that comes in the box.

Long time Nintendo lover. Have a switch 1 that I have played weekly since purchasing in 2016. The only bummer I think, so far, with switch 2 is the need for micro sd express. The cards are more expensive than regular mini sd. Other than that, it's awesome!

The Switch 2 works well, it's faster than Switch 1. The screen resolution is fantastic! Mario Kart World is super fun single player and party game! The bundle is great for value!

The tech is clearly an improvement over the original. My primary complaint stems from being surprised to learn that the Switch 2 isn't currently offering support for streaming apps that worked on the original Switch. I read that there may never be support for that, because Nintendo wanted to emphasize the Switch 2 as a game system, instead of a multimedia device. For one streaming service, this was my only way to watch that platform, so now I have both consoles hooked up, with my old Switch reserved specifically for that service. In order to stay compliant with the review guidelines, I won't mention the specific app, but it rhymes with "punchy mole".

Expensive, but has renewed my interest in Nintendo gaming that I lost back in 2018. The system itself is very well made, with some nice quality of life improvements that quite frankly make it what it always should have been--an essential part of any real gamer's living room setup.

As a person in my 30s who doesn't really game, the switch 2 has been perfect. The versatility of tv or on the go gaming really take the commitment of gaming away. I can play a few minutes on yes tv, take it with me and play a bit more later on . It's something i never considered but it makes all the difference! My daughter also loves playing it.

While the Switch 2 OS is basically indentical to the original system, you’ll immediately notice the significant boost in speed and fidelity using a 4K HDR display. That alone improves the backwards compatibility for all Switch games, although some benefit from special Switch 2 updates that make them run way better than before, i.e., The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom which run at far smoother frame rates now and also have Nintendo app integrations for navigating or sharing items with friends. Well worth the purchase, I think—especially once Metroid Prime 4 finally comes out!

Great upgrade from switch 1. Bigger screen, better performance!

I'm loving my time with the Switch 2. Everything about it is an upgrade from the original. The magnetic click for the joy cons is so satisfying, and popping them in and out of the console or any accessories is so much easier with the new mechanism. Mario Kart World is a blast to play with my family. I am also enjoying the free roam mode, it's relaxing to just cruise around with no real goal other than to see what's beyond the next horizon. I like that there are upgraded versions of classic switch games. Even non-upgraded games are greatly benefited from the beefier hardware, as load times that used to be significant are reduced by huge margins. Being able to use my legacy controllers with no real loss in functionality (other than losing access to the new social button) is really great because otherwise I'd probably be spending just as much as a new system to deck my family out in new gear just to play together.

Excellent new Nintendo system. The controllers are much better for sensitivity and durability. It's easy to startup and transfer accounts. Wish it was cheaper but with how much my family uses this on weekends, worth buying. They do need to increase its standard storage capacity.

I got this for my child and they enjoy it! They play almost everydsy when they get back from school and sometimes we even play together. Really enjoyable and I like the fact that you cant connect it to the tv and even play together on the same screen.

The console is outstanding overall and new exclusives like DK Bonanza and Mario Kart World along with Switch 2 edition games are amazing. However, the lack of new and upcoming exclusives makes it more difficult to justify for those who already own the original Switch.

My son loves the switch 2. He is having a blast with it. The bigger screen is great as well. Mario Kart is so much fun. He and his sister are having a blast playing again each other. I have no regrets buying this for my kids.

Easy purchase online, the switch worked perfectly and it’s a beauty, I really recommend it if you have a switch and you’re trying to do an upgrade it has so many better features!!!
