Beautiful new design!! The controllers are meatier, and the screen on the handheld device is crisp, clear, and larger. Transferring data was seemless and Mario Kart is so much more fun with multiple options, creative designs, and character choices.

The console is everything I want it to be. The design is sleek and beautiful. It runs like a gem. And it gives me all that I could ever need out of a console. A portable video game console!

Very happy with added performance. Was worth waiting to start and finish TOTK. The bigger screen size is nice but something like Dbrand’s Killswitch makes it much more comfortable to game on. The screen feels pretty nice considering the overall package and honestly I play docked on an OLED screen most of the time away. Considering the price of stuff like the ROG XBOX Ally, the price to performance feels pretty good to me

I have been waiting for Nintendo's next console for a while, and I'm happy to say I'm really enjoying it so far, having been playing and using it for a little over a month now. I appreciate the substantial upgrade while having familiarity with the Switch 1. I mainly use it in docked mode with a TV, and it's excellent! New and older games I have played and tested work well, with some Switch 1 games getting a nice little performance bump to make the experience even better. Some things could be improved, such as the unfortunate lack of VRR in docked mode, as of now. (I am hopeful Nintendo can figure it out and bring it an update.) HDR calibration is a little weak, leading me to mess with TV settings and the console settings for a good image. And when I do use the console as a handheld, the battery life is less than desired. Not a terrible problem for me, as I primarily don't use it that way anyway. Still, it's also slightly uncomfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. I even had the sides of the controllers pinch my skin a bit when holding it. However, it is definitely an improvement over the original, but still can be improved. Other than the price being a bit higher than I would or many appreciate for the console, and Switch 2 games, I still say it's worth it for people who have a Switch 1 to replay or experience new games, or someone who never had a Nintendo Switch at all as a great console to experience the hybrid console from Nintendo.

Needs more games but the upgrade from the switch 1 to this is noticeable. It’s worth getting this for Donkey Kong. Might not be OLED but all of the other improvements make up for it

First off ive had a couple switch one consoles since release. Im actively still using my switch oled to this day. The Nintendo Switch 2 is not a huge generational leap from its predecessor, but is has alot of premium features that will help carry it to the future. The positives are the larger screen ans overall size, it personal fits the shape of my hands better. The new joycons connect and disconnect with a new magnet system that is amazing. The dock has a cooling fan and wired ethernet port for a fast connection. 4k 60 to 120 is a nice bump. Battery life in older games is decent and from the few plays throughts in cyberpunk im getting at least two hours of charge. So there are some cons. The screen is larger but after having a oled swtich this new screen will never compare to it. Hopefully Nintendo will release oled 2. New switch 2 games are few and far betweem with most being upgrades of previous games and only dockey kong really showcasing the new systems compatibility. Joy con drift will be a issue since they haven’t improved the sticks. My biggest complaint isnthe new digital only games in a case situation that they are currently doing. Some game will only come with a digital code, no cartridge

Im a light gamer who plays short games often. But i enjoy playing single player games including Zelda (botw & totk) when i have time for myself. The switch 2 is a great option to upgrade from switch lite which i used to play for a while (since 2019) i give it some time till the new games come out, and its best console for playing backwards compatible games. Other than the pricetag, i have no complaints on switch 2. I play cyberpunk on handheld and i love the mouse control option. I would recommend to someone who never owned a switch and plan to get a handheld that can play classic nintendo games (nintendo online sold separately)

Switch 2 is an improvement over the Switch 1 in almost every way. With better graphics and framerate as well. Even some switch 1 games run and look better on this. The transfer process from a Switch 1 to 2 was seamless and easy to follow. It also didn’t erase my old one after the transfer which I appreciated. Specs added that were not in the Switch 1: -HDR (Available in both handheld screen and through the dock to your tv) -VRR (As of now it is only available when playing on the handheld screen) -4k and 1440p resolution -120 fps (Available depending on the game, also doesn’t work with 4k resolution) -Bigger handheld screen

The upgrade from the Switch 1 to the Switch 2 is quite noticeable. The screen, the looks the size all feel and looks good. Im addicted to the Switch. The only thing I would say needs to improve is battery life. Outside of that its the perfectl system.

This is a HUGE upgrade from the original Switch! The game performance is smoother, the screen is bigger, and the overall quality is on another level. Playing on the Switch 2 is way more fun. Best purchase I’ve made. No regrets at all!

Easily one of my favorite gaming consoles yet Bringing the nostalgia of simple, intuitive Nintendo controls to portable gaming. The amount of fun I've been able to have with friends and family has been great. Games play smoothly out of the dock and the graphical presentation on an OLED monitor is stunning. The system itself is sturdy and has classy presentational look about it that won't look akward in a living room setup. Has been a great way to pass the time on my work commutes on the train. If you can get one, which was a painless process on the Best Buy app, I can't recommend it enough.

Amazing console with excellent battery life! I’ve been using the Switch 2 for about 2 months now and enjoy how light weight, versatile, and fast this console is. I’ve played Mario Kart, Fortnite, and Hades 2 and each game has run flawlessly and smooth! What’s truly lacking is more Switch 2 titles, which Nintendo has been really slow to release - Pokemon isn’t available until mid-Oct and Meteor Prime doesn’t come out until the end of the year.

Device was in proper working order. Received it undamaged. Got a good sale on the switch, which included the Mario kart game for the base price of the switch. Is much larger than I was expecting it to be, but not a bad thing. Currently still working fine after two weeks.

Should probably be 3 stars but I’ll give it 4 because I never had the original Switch. Not sure this is worth it for people who have Switch 1. It should really be called a Switch Pro since it is essentially the same console as the previous model with some marginal upgrades. It now has the power of a PS4 so I guess that’s good. Overall it’s fun, and nice for kids but I’m finding the game selection to be pretty bad and basically right now we just have a bunch of Switch 1 titles along with the new Mario Kart. This console is very underwhelming and they took streaming apps away. Unreal. Nintendo has gone downhill. I also don’t like joy cons. They charge $100 for those things WITHOUT the connector dock. You have to spend so much for accessories. I prefer the pro controller but it’s also like $90. How that controller costs more than a dualsense is mind boggling.one more negative that in handheld mode the thing is just too heavy. That’s coming from an adult. For a kid it’s just too much to hold. My kids use it more on the tv or tabletop.

Larger screen and faster than my original Switch. Paired it with Satisfy hand grip and carrying case. Nice to update Zelda BOTW and TOK for only $10 each on the Nintendo Website to be able to use the Companion App. Happy Days !

My children wanted it so much, so I bought it as a Christmas present. The large screen, comfortable joystick, and beautiful design are outstanding. The Mario Kart bundle pack made it the perfect Christmas gift.

    A Worthy Upgrade

A worthy upgrade to the original Nintendo Switch. Bigger screen, better resolution, still has excellent battery life - and the Joycons are a bit bigger and it makes a difference! (Even though I’ll probably still buy a grip attachment) I’ve had the Nintendo Switch 2 for a little over a week and playing games on it has to be experienced because words can’t express how amazing Pokemon Violet feels at a smooth 60FPS… words can’t express the resolution bump and FPS bump Mario Odyssey (already perfect game) experience in this transition. And there are plenty others that’ve taken advantage of the Switch 2’s extra horsepower. The Nintendo Switch 2 is worth the upgrade. Thank you Nintendo. I look forward to another wonderful 7 years of gaming greatness.

    A more powerful switch

I remember buying a Switch lite back in 2021, and I ended up returning it. I was disappointed in a lot of things - the system wasn't very powerful, the default storage ran out quickly, and it wasn't very ergonomic. The culmination of all of these flaws meant it didn't really feel like a console - it felt like a toy. I guess that's a silly distinction to make for devices meant for playing video games, but it's how I felt. The Switch 2 doesn't feel like that at all. It's pretty impressive how it keeps all of the things that worked about the Switch 1, just in a more powerful, appealing package. The kickstand is solid and versatile, instead of flimsy and weak. The screen is a beautiful, 1080p at a size that makes it shine. The new controllers aren't perfectly ergonomic, but they're a huge step up from the gen 1 Joy-Cons. It feels very comparable, and even better in a few ways to my Steam Deck, which is a huge accomplishment. My main reason for knocking off a star is that I don't think there's a huge reason to get one now, especially if you already own a Switch 1. The only real exclusive experience is has right now is Mario Kart, which is great, but probably not worth $500 on it's own. I think for most people, I would say to wait a few months. Give the developers time to made ports and Switch 2 upgrade packs, see what Nintendo reveals in the next direct.
