Switch 2 – Worth Every Penny! I just got my hands on the Nintendo Switch 2 from Best Buy, and wow—this thing is a beast! The upgraded visuals are jaw-dropping, and the speed boost makes everything feel so snappy. I’ve been diving into my favorite games and the experience is smoother, brighter, and more immersive than ever. The new Joy-Cons feel like they were made for my hands, and the battery life? Chef’s kiss. Best Buy nailed it with fast shipping and great packaging. If you're on the fence, jump off—it’s totally worth it.

What the original switch should've been

Im loving this device. Out the gate a lot of the enhanced games run way better now on the switch 2 over the original. This device performs way better than i expected and looked better in person than online. I see the hate online over it but if this is the console you want just get it. The current library of games as I write this is low for the switch 2 games but with upcoming releases this device is going to truly shine even more. I find the new magnetic joycons to ve very secure and should take a greatt amount of force to remove them without using the release latch.

Performance is on par with the steam deck, and although the LCD display is bigger than the previous switch the backlighting is very noticable and color vibrancy and accuracy is not as good as the oled of the previous model. Battery life is not great, only get about an hour and a half with the brightness at around 80%. Still a very fun console, not worth all the hype surrounding it but would still get it once there is more availablity and more games available to play.

The game is awesome, I love the bigger screen as well. Flawless. Only thing I don’t like is that the battery life is not all that great in handheld mode but it’s not bad either.

The Nintendo Switch 2 truly feels like the next chapter in Nintendo’s hybrid gaming legacy, building on everything fans loved about the original while delivering meaningful upgrades that modern gamers will appreciate. Sharp, Immersive Display & Powerful Graphics

I was really expecting a lot more for the hefty price tag. I was met with a slightly heftier and durable device with a slightly larger screen compared to the large size of the device itself. The battery life is just as bad as the original which was where I would’ve preferred better quality for handheld play.

The system is amazingand easily improves on everything that was already great about the original Switch! Screen quality is beautiful. The compatibility of the GameShare is a literal game changer. Love the matte finish on it as well.

Mario Cart World Switch 2 Bundle

I particularly enjoy using this product on the daily. I’m one of the few people who have never owned a switch console, so I haven’t much to compare it to, however what I can say is I am thoroughly happy with the Switch 2, particularly when it is connected to a capable 4K display. It takes care of the fast battery drainage problem I noticed, though it could just be a software issue. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys handheld consoles. The only regret I have is not waiting until the Pokemon Z-A switch 2 bundle.

Build quality is greatly improved over previous Switch models. Performance is solid all around, holding a steady 120 fps with the Breath of the Wild Switch 2 edition/upgrade. Not many games to use as a baseline for its long-term prospects, but if you have a decent catalog already and are looking for an upgrade, it may be worth considering. This will largely depend on your budget as Nintendo games rarely go on sale. Even Breath of the Wild is still full priced after over 8 years. While Nintendo overall creates high quality software, it feels unreasonable to keep prices the same as the day it launched nearly a decade later.

    Switch 2 review

I bought this for my son. Overall it's a very nice unit and upgrade from the switch 1. Recently, the right controller started having issues and I'm not sure why. It's only 2 months or so old. Maybe it's a glitch? But, I do like the graphics and usability overall. The only other thing that was a little off-putting is you have to buy a special micro SD and can't use the old one. Also, the charger from the last one doesn't work correctly with this Nintendo base. I feel like Nintendo should create hardware that can transfer each of those small items over because it ends up being an extra 100-200 dollars on top.

This thing has quickly become mine and my kiddos favorite console. I like the easy backwards compatibility for their old games and controllers, but finally can enjoy some update resolution from my old switch. Do wish Nintendo would include some more of their old games in the online subscription service though.

    Nintendo Switch 2 – A Solid Upgrade

I picked up the Nintendo Switch 2 on launch night at Best Buy in Big Flats, NY. The staff did a great job keeping things organized and moving, even with a busy crowd. After a few days of use, I can say the system feels like a meaningful step forward. The performance is noticeably better—games load quicker and run more smoothly overall. The updated Joy-Cons feel sturdier and more comfortable in-hand, and the new kickstand is a nice improvement for tabletop play. I also appreciated that it's compatible with my existing Switch library, so I could jump right back into my favorite games without any hassle. The new titles available at launch are promising and show off what the system can do. Overall, I’m glad I upgraded. It’s not a radical departure from the original, but it improves on enough things to make it worthwhile for regular Switch users.

Has a larger screen than the original and the display is very improved. Battery life is as described and is very durable. Would suggest getting the bundle as it is cheaper than purchasing the game separately.

This was a splurge for Christmas for the family and it was so worth it!! We have the OLED switch and the switch 2 tops that 100%! The graphics are so clean and crisp. We love playing the free world part on Mario Kart World. It’s so much fun and all the new characters are great!

My son loves his Christmas gift. This is definitely a positive improvement over the switch 1 model which was starting to fail. I may buy another next year to play games with my son. Very happy with my buying experience, in and out in under 30 mins. The service representative was helpful in answering my questions.

Switch 2 is worth it. The changes are very noticeable. Switch 1 games play so much better and the load speeds are incredibly fast. Enjoying this a lot so far.

Using the nintendo switch 2 as my first console from nintendo was amazing it runs most games on thier e store amazingly. Would recommend over the lite and oled models as its components will run new and older games better.

Overall a solid upgrade if you be coming from switch 1 or lite. A little more expensive but has the power to justify its upgrade price, 120 hz lcd panel less likely to oled burn in and games from previous gen run smoothly. Loving the backwards compatibility but a screen protector is 100% recommended to have the plastic film they place on this console is very scratch able. Still using old joycon controller tech sadly but upside is 240ish gb memory system storage
