A Great Update to a Great System...

A great little system, so far. My kids absolutely love Mario Kart World, and this version just updates and upgrades all the things we liked about Switch 1. The controllers are especially nice, but only time will tell if the drift issue from the previous models has actually been fixed, like they said. We all love the bigger screen, and enhanced graphics as well, all though it is less portable, although not egregiously so. Biggest plus is being able to use all our previous games and even getting a free upgrade to some of them via our Nintendo Online account. Breath of the Wild has been given new life and I'm playing it again. It's pricey but considering the lifespan of the previous system (which was much longer than the average Games Workshop game) and all the fun we had with it, we expect to get a lot of use out of this one, so it was worth the cost.

Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario kart world

The new Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World is a stellar step up in Nintendo’s hybrid gaming lineup. The upgraded hardware shines with a crisp 7.9″ 1080p screen, smoother graphics, and responsive performance whether you’re playing handheld or docked on a large screen. The magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers feel more solid and ergonomic than previous models, and the overall build quality feels premium and durable. Mario Kart World is a standout launch title. It pushes the franchise forward with a sprawling world that lets you race seamlessly across interconnected courses, dynamic weather, and varied environments that feel fresh and exciting. You will love the open world exploration and smooth online play, making it one of the franchise’s most ambitious entries yet. Backward compatibility opens up the entirety of the switch one’s gaming library and even optimizes many prior games to run much smoother on the new hardware, breathing life back into some games. Overall I love the system and look forward to Nintendo and other developers squeezing every ounce of power out of this hybrid system.

This system is so kid friendly, but fun for the parents too! Definitely glad we purchased the bundle with MarioKart included. Love that we can take this on the go and the screen is big enough for both of them to play together on the go. Highly recommend for intro to video games for kids.

I recently got the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle, and overall, I’m very impressed with what Nintendo has delivered this time. The console feels solid and well-built, with a clear emphasis on quality. The Joy-Con 2 controllers have a magnificent magnetic attachment that makes connecting and removing them feel smooth and satisfying – a big upgrade from the original. One of my favorite improvements is the larger screen, which offers bright colors, sharp resolution, and great visibility, even in bright environments. Whether you’re racing in Mario Kart World or exploring another game, the visuals look fantastic. Another major plus is backward compatibility. I love that I can still play my Nintendo Switch 1 games on this new console. It saves money and lets me continue enjoying my old favorites without needing to repurchase anything. As for the Mario Kart World game included in the bundle, it’s an exciting upgrade to the classic. It combines traditional tracks with new, global-inspired courses and adds more online features and challenges that keep the gameplay fresh and competitive. The only concern I have so far is the battery life. While it’s not terrible, I feel it could last longer, especially during longer play sessions in handheld mode. Hopefully, future updates or newer versions improve on this. Final Thoughts: If you’re a Nintendo fan or someone looking for a high-quality, portable gaming console with a strong library of games, the Nintendo Switch 2 – especially with this Mario Kart World bundle – is a great choice. Just be aware of the battery duration if you plan to game on the go for long hours.

Excellent new Nintendo system. The controllers are much better for sensitivity and durability. It's easy to startup and transfer accounts. Wish it was cheaper but with how much my family uses this on weekends, worth buying. They do need to increase its standard storage capacity.

A clear upgrade over the original Nintendo Switch in nearly every way. Far better performance, great build quality (the system feels great to play in handheld mode), and most Switch games work through backwards compatibility in addition to the growing library of Switch 2 games. My only disappointment is that the battery life is a little lacking, but it's still good enough in most cases.

I have been waiting for Nintendo's next console for a while, and I'm happy to say I'm really enjoying it so far, having been playing and using it for a little over a month now. I appreciate the substantial upgrade while having familiarity with the Switch 1. I mainly use it in docked mode with a TV, and it's excellent! New and older games I have played and tested work well, with some Switch 1 games getting a nice little performance bump to make the experience even better. Some things could be improved, such as the unfortunate lack of VRR in docked mode, as of now. (I am hopeful Nintendo can figure it out and bring it an update.) HDR calibration is a little weak, leading me to mess with TV settings and the console settings for a good image. And when I do use the console as a handheld, the battery life is less than desired. Not a terrible problem for me, as I primarily don't use it that way anyway. Still, it's also slightly uncomfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. I even had the sides of the controllers pinch my skin a bit when holding it. However, it is definitely an improvement over the original, but still can be improved. Other than the price being a bit higher than I would or many appreciate for the console, and Switch 2 games, I still say it's worth it for people who have a Switch 1 to replay or experience new games, or someone who never had a Nintendo Switch at all as a great console to experience the hybrid console from Nintendo.

I haven’t play any of the Mario, Zelda and Do key King games. The ones I did play were on the SNES and GameCube like Mario Sunshine. I bought a Wii, but really didn’t play it. Anyways, I missed playing the classic games and bought this Switch 2. I picked here on Best Buy because it was the one offering Mario Car on the bundle and no other store did. I bought it the switch 2 and got me the subscription to play some of the classics and so far I been enjoying myself a lot. The reason I wanted a switch was to play the classics and some old games and because there are times that I don’t want to seat and play games and just want to lay on bed and instead of looking at my phone, play some games online and that’s what the switch brought to me and even if I want to play it on a big screen, the switch provide me with that option too. A friend told me I could had bought the PS5, but I got the PS4 and still haven’t play all the games that I got on my PS4, so a PS5 isn’t that appealing to me right now.

Switch 2 is an improvement over the Switch 1 in almost every way. With better graphics and framerate as well. Even some switch 1 games run and look better on this. The transfer process from a Switch 1 to 2 was seamless and easy to follow. It also didn’t erase my old one after the transfer which I appreciated. Specs added that were not in the Switch 1: -HDR (Available in both handheld screen and through the dock to your tv) -VRR (As of now it is only available when playing on the handheld screen) -4k and 1440p resolution -120 fps (Available depending on the game, also doesn’t work with 4k resolution) -Bigger handheld screen

The Nintendo Switch 2 is everything I hoped for and more. The graphics are sharper, load times are faster, and the battery life is noticeably improved. The new screen is vibrant and smooth whether playing handheld or docked. Pairing it with Mario Kart World was the perfect choice, it’s fast, colorful, and great for family game nights. Setup was quick, the controls feel solid, and the performance is flawless so far. If you loved the first Switch, this upgrade is 100% worth it.

First off ive had a couple switch one consoles since release. Im actively still using my switch oled to this day. The Nintendo Switch 2 is not a huge generational leap from its predecessor, but is has alot of premium features that will help carry it to the future. The positives are the larger screen ans overall size, it personal fits the shape of my hands better. The new joycons connect and disconnect with a new magnet system that is amazing. The dock has a cooling fan and wired ethernet port for a fast connection. 4k 60 to 120 is a nice bump. Battery life in older games is decent and from the few plays throughts in cyberpunk im getting at least two hours of charge. So there are some cons. The screen is larger but after having a oled swtich this new screen will never compare to it. Hopefully Nintendo will release oled 2. New switch 2 games are few and far betweem with most being upgrades of previous games and only dockey kong really showcasing the new systems compatibility. Joy con drift will be a issue since they haven’t improved the sticks. My biggest complaint isnthe new digital only games in a case situation that they are currently doing. Some game will only come with a digital code, no cartridge

    A Worthy Upgrade

A worthy upgrade to the original Nintendo Switch. Bigger screen, better resolution, still has excellent battery life - and the Joycons are a bit bigger and it makes a difference! (Even though I’ll probably still buy a grip attachment) I’ve had the Nintendo Switch 2 for a little over a week and playing games on it has to be experienced because words can’t express how amazing Pokemon Violet feels at a smooth 60FPS… words can’t express the resolution bump and FPS bump Mario Odyssey (already perfect game) experience in this transition. And there are plenty others that’ve taken advantage of the Switch 2’s extra horsepower. The Nintendo Switch 2 is worth the upgrade. Thank you Nintendo. I look forward to another wonderful 7 years of gaming greatness.

Easily one of my favorite gaming consoles yet Bringing the nostalgia of simple, intuitive Nintendo controls to portable gaming. The amount of fun I've been able to have with friends and family has been great. Games play smoothly out of the dock and the graphical presentation on an OLED monitor is stunning. The system itself is sturdy and has classy presentational look about it that won't look akward in a living room setup. Has been a great way to pass the time on my work commutes on the train. If you can get one, which was a painless process on the Best Buy app, I can't recommend it enough.

Very happy with added performance. Was worth waiting to start and finish TOTK. The bigger screen size is nice but something like Dbrand’s Killswitch makes it much more comfortable to game on. The screen feels pretty nice considering the overall package and honestly I play docked on an OLED screen most of the time away. Considering the price of stuff like the ROG XBOX Ally, the price to performance feels pretty good to me

breaking a sweat. It plays Cyberpunk 2077 surprisingly well for a handheld. The battery life is solid (about 4–5 hours on heavy games), and the screen is beautiful even though it's LCD. It feels like a premium piece of tech. Best Buy’s store pickup was fast and easy as usual. 10/10."

I remember buying a Switch lite back in 2021, and I ended up returning it. I was disappointed in a lot of things - the system wasn't very powerful, the default storage ran out quickly, and it wasn't very ergonomic. The culmination of all of these flaws meant it didn't really feel like a console - it felt like a toy. I guess that's a silly distinction to make for devices meant for playing video games, but it's how I felt. The Switch 2 doesn't feel like that at all. It's pretty impressive how it keeps all of the things that worked about the Switch 1, just in a more powerful, appealing package. The kickstand is solid and versatile, instead of flimsy and weak. The screen is a beautiful, 1080p at a size that makes it shine. The new controllers aren't perfectly ergonomic, but they're a huge step up from the gen 1 Joy-Cons. It feels very comparable, and even better in a few ways to my Steam Deck, which is a huge accomplishment. My main reason for knocking off a star is that I don't think there's a huge reason to get one now, especially if you already own a Switch 1. The only real exclusive experience is has right now is Mario Kart, which is great, but probably not worth $500 on it's own. I think for most people, I would say to wait a few months. Give the developers time to made ports and Switch 2 upgrade packs, see what Nintendo reveals in the next direct.

Scree is big and controllers better fit adult hands. Great clarity docked or handheld. The online aubscription gets acces to some older games from older nintendo products. Games are currently pricy but you can find some decent ones in the $40-$50 price range.
