Much faster than the original Switch — snappier menus, quicker load times. Larger, higher-quality screen. More vivid visuals, HDR support, better frame rates. And the last thing I would like to say for a “con” is. Battery life. In handheld mode, battery drains faster under heavy usage. Some reviews say it can be disappointing if you play a lot on the go.

We have all switches including OLED we like be the feature of bigger screen and great graphics.

We loved both versions of the original Switch, so it was a no-brainer to pick up the new system when we were ready. Well worth it, all around. Bigger, nicer screen. The joycons are awesome. The game upgrades are reasonably priced and worth the few extra dollars. All in all, a great experience from setup to gameplay - and we haven't even checked out all the new features yet!

An excellent piece of hardware. It runs everything faster and better than its predecessor. The resolution is sharper and the animation is so much better! It finally has adequate onboard storage. Smash brothers is glorious on this machine. I hesitate to buy this for my younger children. We each had our own Switch OLED system, but this one doesn't seem like it can handle any clumsiness on the go. It's fine in the dock or on the table - but it's bigger and thinner, and I don't think it will handle drops or flexes as well as the original Switch. At this new price-point, I won't be buying one for every member of the family regardless, but I'm satisfied with this single unit in the family room. It's loads of fun.

The Switch 2 feels like a completely different platfom than the Switch. It works so much more flawlessly than the first one. The Best Buy that I purchased my console from was extremely helpful, and made my trip to Best Buy verysmooth!

Overall a solid upgrade if you be coming from switch 1 or lite. A little more expensive but has the power to justify its upgrade price, 120 hz lcd panel less likely to oled burn in and games from previous gen run smoothly. Loving the backwards compatibility but a screen protector is 100% recommended to have the plastic film they place on this console is very scratch able. Still using old joycon controller tech sadly but upside is 240ish gb memory system storage

Bigger screen! Fast and fun! You can argue catered more for kids! But Nintendo exclusives always delivers! Waiting for Metroid 4! Until then it will be Mario Kart and Donkey Kong!

Super cool graphics. I love how portable this is. It’s amazing for hand night

so easy to setup, just plug in in the power and connect the HDMI. The joy cons already had a charge to be used out of the box, but better to let it sit in the dock all together to get a full charge before much use. Looks amazing on the a 4k tv, and the HDMI-CEC communicates to turn the tv on and change to the right input very well.

I’ve been using the Nintendo Switch 2 for a little while now and honestly I’ve been enjoying it way more than I expected. At first I thought it was just gonna feel like the same Switch with a few upgrades, but after actually playing on it, everything just feels smoother and cleaner. The graphics look way better, games load faster, and the whole system feels more modern without losing the chill vibe the original Switch had.

Great update to Nintendos portable lineup. Same portability as the first switch but with way better graphics.

I like that the screen is just bigger and its just better all the way around with the graphics and ergonomics of it when its in your hands.

Buying the Nintendo Switch 2 for my son’s 10th birthday turned into an unforgettable experience thanks to Best Buy. These consoles were impossible to find — none in stock at Target, Nintendo.com, Best Buy online, or anywhere else. I stopped by my local Best Buy just to check availability, fully expecting to be told the same thing. At first, that was the case… until the associate went the extra mile. They took a moment to think through all the possibilities and realized that someone had returned a Switch 2 just five minutes earlier after buying two when they first launched. Because of their attention and willingness to dig a little deeper instead of simply sending me on my way, I was able to purchase it on the spot. My son was beyond excited on his birthday, and I’m incredibly grateful for the associate who cared enough to look beyond the obvious and make it happen. They made me look like a hero to my son. That level of customer service is rare and deserves recognition. Way to go, Best Buy! You absolutely made our day.

The game is awesome, I love the bigger screen as well. Flawless. Only thing I don’t like is that the battery life is not all that great in handheld mode but it’s not bad either.

It’s amazing, love this thing! The fact it doesn’t have that many games isn’t a big deal to me. I never owned a switch 1, so this being my first is a big deal. So far I’m playing all the classics. Only complaint I have is the hdr, Mario kart worlds colors look a bit washed in dock mode (the only switch 2 title I own) . On handheld however it looks great. Older titles I own play beautifully in docked or hand held mode. I hope Nintendo can fix this problem as soon as possible because I can’t wait for Metroid prime 4.

Nintendo has done it again! I absolutely loving all the new exclusives. Im currently playing Pragmata on it and it looks and performs better than the Series S Xbox. The bigger screen and higher resolution really makes image quality pop. With the new Variable Refresh Rate screen games feel and perform at a much smoother level. The Switch 2 also allows you play Switch 1 games in docked mode while in handheld mode on the Switch 2. Has great battery life as well!

We love our new switch 2. It does feel like a big upgrade from the switch 1 while docked. Having 60fps 4K is a huge leap and makes games feel transformative and fluid. In handheld mode you can definitely feel and see the issue that they didn’t use as high quality of an LCD screen, but this is a non issue for us because we leave it docked.

The Switch 2 offers everything that worked in the original Switch but with updated hardware. There was a seamless transition between consoles, and it's refreshed while feeling and looking familiar in that way we've grown accustomed to over the past 8 years. I'm happy I bought when I did but can understand why you may wait until there are Switch 2 specific mainstream titles that you want to play before upgrading. I look forward to another 8+ years of faithful service from this hardware!
