The tech is clearly an improvement over the original. My primary complaint stems from being surprised to learn that the Switch 2 isn't currently offering support for streaming apps that worked on the original Switch. I read that there may never be support for that, because Nintendo wanted to emphasize the Switch 2 as a game system, instead of a multimedia device. For one streaming service, this was my only way to watch that platform, so now I have both consoles hooked up, with my old Switch reserved specifically for that service. In order to stay compliant with the review guidelines, I won't mention the specific app, but it rhymes with "punchy mole".

Beautiful console, coming from not having a switch, it's a beautiful console and a step up from the OG in everyway.

Leaps and bounds over the Switch. I have played MarioKart, Cyberpunk, WWE2K25, and Madden 26 on this. They all look good and play well. Madden has some slowdown but im sure will be patched. Worth buying.

Always buy from best buy! The console is sleek, love how the joycons feel compared to the old ones. Mario Kart World is such a fun game. It does feel like its missing some characters, or a new mode, but there are so many different track options that you would never get bored of them. This is a great deal if you plan on getting mario kart anyway. As for performance, ive even heard the fan running, its hard to tell its even on. I keep seeing people say it runs hot but maybe they got a defective one? Mine runs cool, maybe a bit warm toward the end of game session

Easy connection to the TV, nice when undocked. Bigger screen than the original. Easy to move everything from the old switch to the new one.

This is one of rhe best consoles nintendo has put out to date. Faster porcessing time, phenomenal graphics, 4k compatability and more! The game library is stellar too! As a bestbuy and nintendo fan i highly recommend you upgrade to the switch 2!

The Nintendo Switch 2 is an amazing console and an overall improvement from the original Switch. The mouse controls are very fun to use, and the system feels so much nicer with how much bigger it is. It's way more powerful, with a lot of new and exciting games releasing almost every month. However, Nintendo's greed with pricing for these new games, the system, and accessories has been a big reason people hesitate on buying the system, and I don't blame them. Another reason is the game key cards, which are really stupid, since why would you buy a game key card if you still have to download the entire game? Just buy it from the eshop at that point! The console and games are very good and fun, but Nintendo's decisions with pricing and game cards have put a sour taste in my mouth and others. If you can afford it i would recommend it at least as an upgrade from your previous system since the original Switch line is amazing as well as the growing Switch 2 library.

Nintendo has done an outstanding job, exceeding expectations in every way. The quality of their games and consoles is exceptional, providing an incredibly enjoyable experience for players. The creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to fun make Nintendo products truly remarkable. I am thoroughly impressed and can confidently say that their recent work is absolutely fantastic.

The new switch console is great! The new GameChat features are really cool and more useful than I thought. Mario Kart is great, and the backwards compatibility with Switch 1 games really impresses. Games look MUCH better than they did on the original Switch.
