A worthy upgrade that is so much fun!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 is everything I hoped for in an upgrade. It has a bigger, sharper screen that makes handheld gaming a lot more immersive, and the new Joy-Cons feel sturdier and more comfortable. Games run smoother and look better, especially docked in 4K. Upgrades packs for Switch games - at least the ones I’ve tried - are worth it. Zelda Breath of the Wild and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom both look incredible. The Switch 2 is backwards compatible, so games that don’t have an upgrade are still playable. Battery life could be better when playing demanding games, and I do wish it had an OLED display like the Switch OLED model. That said, this is a fantastic system that feels like a natural step up from the original.

Great console, bad battery duration
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle, and overall, I’m very impressed with what Nintendo has delivered this time. The console feels solid and well-built, with a clear emphasis on quality. The Joy-Con 2 controllers have a magnificent magnetic attachment that makes connecting and removing them feel smooth and satisfying – a big upgrade from the original. One of my favorite improvements is the larger screen, which offers bright colors, sharp resolution, and great visibility, even in bright environments. Whether you’re racing in Mario Kart World or exploring another game, the visuals look fantastic. Another major plus is backward compatibility. I love that I can still play my Nintendo Switch 1 games on this new console. It saves money and lets me continue enjoying my old favorites without needing to repurchase anything. As for the Mario Kart World game included in the bundle, it’s an exciting upgrade to the classic. It combines traditional tracks with new, global-inspired courses and adds more online features and challenges that keep the gameplay fresh and competitive. The only concern I have so far is the battery life. While it’s not terrible, I feel it could last longer, especially during longer play sessions in handheld mode. Hopefully, future updates or newer versions improve on this. Final Thoughts: If you’re a Nintendo fan or someone looking for a high-quality, portable gaming console with a strong library of games, the Nintendo Switch 2 – especially with this Mario Kart World bundle – is a great choice. Just be aware of the battery duration if you plan to game on the go for long hours.

I love my Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my switch 2~ it's been a few months, still works great, no stick drift or problems. The battery dies fast, but its never been too much of a problem for me personally. Feels much better than a switch 1, although it's a bit heavy. Mario Kart World itself is kinda mid, but I don't regret getting it at a discount with the bundle. The download was pretty seemless when I got it. $500 is a hefty price to pay, but I think it was well worth it~

Review: Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundl
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo has done it again, combining the release of its next-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2, with a killer app to match: Mario Kart World. This bundle is the ultimate introduction to Nintendo’s powerful new system, packing everything you need to dive into an exhilarating and renewed gaming experience. With hardware upgrades, enhanced visuals, and the multiplayer madness of Mario Kart, this bundle sets the gold standard for the next era of gaming. The Nintendo Switch 2 Hardware The Nintendo Switch 2 lives up to its promises and then some. With improved performance thanks to a custom Nvidia chipset, the console offers 4K resolution in docked mode and an OLED screen for handheld play. The visuals are crisp, vibrant, and smooth with frame rates up to 60 FPS — a huge leap from its predecessor. Load times have also been drastically reduced, and players will immediately notice the seamless transition when docking and undocking the console from its TV mode. A much-requested feature — improved Joy-Con design — has been implemented, featuring more ergonomic grips and drift-free analog sticks that feel durable and precise. Battery life also sees a notable improvement, allowing for longer gaming sessions in handheld mode, and the console’s rear kickstand has been redesigned to offer a wider, more stable base. Overall, the Switch 2 hardware exudes quality, making it clear that Nintendo has taken years of player feedback to heart. Mario Kart World: Racing Perfection The standout of this bundle is undoubtedly Mario Kart World, the latest entry in the legendary racing franchise. Expanding on the formula of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, this game offers an incredible graphical overhaul with hyper-realistic tracks, dynamic weather systems, and even more detailed character animations. The courses are varied and exciting, with some of the series’ greatest tracks reimagined alongside new global-themed racetracks inspired by cities like Tokyo, Paris, New York, and Sydney. Mario Kart World truly shines with its revamped multiplayer mode. The game features a new online World Tour mode, where players can compete in global tournaments and weekly challenges for rewards and bragging rights. The addition of customizable vehicles and characters allows even greater personalization, while new power-ups and items keep every race feeling fresh and unpredictable. For the more serious crowd, Nintendo has included an intriguing skill-based Ranked Mode for competitive online play. For those who prefer local multiplayer, the Switch 2’s updated hardware doesn’t disappoint. The hardware’s enhanced Bluetooth capabilities ensure a seamless connection for up to eight players locally, and the OLED screen provides improved shared-screen experiences when playing in tabletop mode. The Bundle Value What sets this package apart is the extra value it offers. The Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle includes the console itself, upgraded Joy-Cons, and a physical or digital copy of Mario Kart World, all for a slight discount compared to purchasing everything separately. To sweeten the deal, Nintendo has also added some bonus perks, including exclusive in-game content: a stylish new kart, a one-month free trial of Nintendo Switch Online+, and custom Joy-Con grips featuring a Mario and Yoshi design for the ultimate themed experience. What’s Not So Perfect As with any new console bundle, the price is likely to be a bit steep, especially for players upgrading from the existing Switch. While Mario Kart World is a phenomenal showcase for the system, it’s still an iteration on an already polished formula, and some fans might be craving a greater leap in innovation. Additionally, supply constraints could make this bundle tricky to get your hands on during its initial launch. Conclusion The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is a standout starting point for gamers diving into Nintendo’s latest generation of gaming. Packed with hardware improvements, enhanced portability, and the endlessly fun racing experience of Mario Kart World, it’s a bundle that delivers both value and excitement. Existing Switch users may hesitate to upgrade, but the improved visuals, faster performance, and new features make this bundle a strong contender for gamers ready to step into Nintendo’s next chapter.

Lots of fun! One big Flaw.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 is a big improvement on the first one in MOST ways. Its biggest shortcoming is the battery life. This thing drains FAST! I think I get an hour of gameplay at most before I have to plug it in. Despite this, the visual fidelity is improved on, and the games run smoothly thus far. I am also a really big fan of the size. I have really big hands, so for me it’s quite comfortable. I know that won’t be the same for everyone though. Overall, pretty fun system! Also you are REALLY gonna want to buy one of those Express SD Cards. I know the system already comes with 256GB of storage, but if you are transferring your old Switch data to the new one, then I imagine that will run low pretty quickly. I wouldn’t get anything lower than a 512 GB one. Just some advice. Do with it what you may.

Yupppy!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down, the best portable video game console I’ve ever played with. The upgrades from the switch 1 are immense, all the new features, improved battery life and better performance makes the switch 2 a product that I won’t regret to buy.

Great Console, wait to buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this by saying that I am not a pc gamer and so I will not be comparing this to any pc handhelds. I primarily purchased this console for the Nintendo exclusives. The Nintendo Switch 2 has met my expectations while disappointing me on some other fronts. I'll begin with the screen. Having been a original switch (non-oled) owner for 6 years, this screen is a MASSIVE upgrade. The brightness is way better, and the "hdr" is a great feature and makes games like TOTK really stand out. The performance is also much improved but this is where I got into my first caveat. The games ONLY look that much better when they A) have a Switch 2 edition or B) have reveved a free switch 2 update. Otherwise you are not going to notice a difference, and because of scaling issues with the larger screen, some games might actually look worse in handheld mode. Another caveat is the battery life. Long story short, you can expect about 2.5 hrs. when playing any game that has been optimized or made for the Switch 2 in handheld mode. However, if you look beyond these minor issues, the console is a great evolution of the original and feels more like a serious computer and competitor to the PS5 than a kids toy.

Nintendo switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone coming from the multicolored red and blue Nintendo switch this was a huge upgrade for me. My switch was basically on its last leg and it didn’t make sense for me to buy a replacement or to buy an Oled when I knew the switch 2 was coming out so I held on and just hoped my switch didn’t give out before the release date. Comparing this to my Og switch the screen size and brightness alone was worth it. The quality of the pixels on games are also a huge upgrade. Playing splatoon 3 feels more smooth now for me and the graphics is amazing. Batter life could be better but it also depends on what games you’re playing, I get about 5 hours on splatoon 3, 3 hours on cyberpunk 2077, and 3 hours on Mario kart world.

The system is tide to get the game via Nintendo eshop Having more storage would definitely help, especially with games and the amount of space they take.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Went to gamestop first to attempt to buy my mario kart world bundle because thats the only franchise i buy my consoles and games from even play n trade but they went out of business. So Due to bad experiences with gamestop i went next door to best buy and maannn i dont regret my decision what so ever the retailers who helped me that worked in the homewood/glenwood area of Illinois were so nice, kind and very patient so if i need to buy anything else in the future i will be back to that specific location for sure. They didn’t have none in stock so it was shipped to me Package was delivered today few hours ago, setting it up was a breeze, downloaded the game from eshop as seen online and I haven’t been able to put it down since taking it out the box. I absolutely dont regret buying my FIRST EVER SWITCH

A worthy successor to an amazing console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm loving the bigger screen and Joy cons on the Switch 2. Everything about the system seems better than the original Switch. My only complaints are that with the size increase it is a little more awkward to hold for longer periods if that's how's you play it and the battery could stand to be a bit better. Can't do half stars though so I stuck with 5 stars based on all the other improvements making this console worth the upgrade.

The switch perfected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high expectations and waited so long for this console, and I can say those expectations were not only met but surpassed. The hardware itself overall is just a much more premium and nicer feeling experience. The new Joy-cons are a huge improvement over the originals. Bigger, higher quality buttons, and just a better more satisfying ergonomic feel, especially when playing in handheld. The way they just snap onto the magnetic rails is just pure magic. Perfectly satisfying and super seamless. The screen itself is once again a huge improvement. Not an OLED, but the increased resolution and overall higher quality LCD display looks miles better than the original Switch 1 display. There’s so many more small Improvements as well like bigger SR SL buttons, better kickstand, better dock design, and much much better built in speakers. I seriously respect the incredibly talented engineers who designed it all as it’s clear a lot of care and effort went into its design. With the original switch I mostly played dock as I felt handheld was an inferior experience compared to dock play. I’m so glad with the switch 2 that the experience in dock and handheld is much closer, so I find myself switching between them more and it’s even more seamless in that both dock and handheld feel like a high-quality gaming experience. It really feels like the vision of the switch is now fully realized when I play in handheld and it genuinely feels like I’m having a full TV console level experience, but in the palm of my hands. It’s nothing short of magic. Of course, the games are what’s most important and, yep, Mario Kart World alone makes this console worth it. It’s a magical gaming experience like no other. It’s so much fun. Then there’s also the fact that pretty much every game from your switch 1 collection is compatible and many games run even better, which I feel adds SO much value to the console. The performance across many different games is fantastic, just super crisp and buttery smooth. There's also so many more fantastic games coming this year that I'm excited for like DK bananaza, Metroid prime 4, Hyrule warriors: Age of imprisonment, and more. The only problem I can think of with It is that HDR calibration was a bit tricky and annoying. Then again, I now know it’s because I have an older 2019 4k TV. If it was a modern one that had HDR tone mapping, it would have been much easier so it’s not even a Switch 2 specific problem. That’s it really. I still can’t believe it myself just how perfect this console is. It’s the Switch perfected in every way. I genuinely believe this is the most fun and joyful device ever made.

Switch 2!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good console, fun game, decent price for what it is! The new screen is bigger & the graphics are very good as well. I like how the controllers are magnetic & have a button you press to pull them off (so they don’t just fall off) instead of the slide on the original switch, overall good purchase, very fun for family game night!

An excellent successor to the Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent successor to the original Switch console. It takes everything awesome about the original and adds some new features and QoL uodates to keep the avid Nintendo fan happy. Over 60+ hours of playtime with the new system already and it performs like a dream, with a larger screen, buttons, and an extra USB-C port for charging/ accessories. With more Switch 2 updates for last gen games likely coming in the future, it adds a lot of value with performance improvements in certain games and the eshop is night day compared to the original switch, with next to no waiting around for it to load.

Worth the cost, battery sucks
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the first Switch and I think the Switch 2 is a great upgrade from the original system. Screen is large and games look beautiful. It runs better, storage is a LOT bigger and the joy-cons are very satisfying to detach and re-attach. The console's price is a little high in my opinion, but if you love Nintendo it's worth it. Biggest downside is the battery, barely lasts an hour depending on if you're playing a graphics intensive game or not; same as the first Switch.

Switch 2 system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The system works so nicely and well fast smoothly I really love the stand on back just don’t like how the memory chip goes into system. The mouse works good just don’t know what games it uses the controller as a mouse controller on & the controller how it snap back into the system is so different, I like it better on the old switch system when it slides into the system & holding this new switch 2 system is a bit more heavy than the old one & I like the bigger screen on the system as long as you don’t have to hold it’s good.

Better than Expected!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Me and my partner got it as a gift for ourselves and have been enjoying it ever since. We're both out and about often so being able to kill time with games on the go or to other people's places with ease. Me personally it's what I was looking for in the first switch: better performance, better screen, and bigger form factor as the og switch was too small for my hands and cramped after half an hour of playtime.

Nintendo Switch 2 Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The console itself is an improvement on the original Switch: larger console but not so much that it feels unwieldy, crisper display, and faster processing power. I like how the Joy-Cons magnetically snap into the console as opposed to sliding in on the original Switch. However, I have noticed that the loading time for a few games feels just as long if not longer than on the Switch but I have not measured the time elapsed so I cannot definitively confirm. Its battery life also seems to drain faster when the Switch 2 is simply sitting on my TV stand undocked but in sleep mode. The price is exorbitant for the limited selection of dedicated Switch 2 games and I bought this begrudgingly so I could play titles such as Mario Kart World with my friends. Speaking of which, the game itself is fine but nothing stellar. You are presented with many characters and vehicles to select from and it includes a few new items to utilize during races. However, the course selection feels limited for a 'world' game especially after playing Mario Kart 8 for so many years. The sheer number of opponents in races feels overwhelming and almost frustrating because you are constantly bombarded with items depending on what place you're in which makes progress difficult. I don't really like how, in the Grand Prix mode, most of the time spent during the subsequent races is traversing the area between the former course to the next one so by the time you reach the latter, the race is practically over. That just feels weird to me. Finally, the Free Roam is by far my least favorite; it is mind-numbingly boring with practically nothing to do except drive around. Those challenges interspersed throughout the land are not engaging enough either to compel me to continue exploring. Overall, the Switch 2 is an improvement on the first Switch but is quite expensive and Mario Kart World is better off being played with friends but even then you might find yourself losing interest. I would recommend this product only if you have enough money saved and there are multiple upcoming Switch 2 games you are interested in playing

The Essential Launch Kit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally snagged the Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart World, and the upgrade is massive. If you were holding off on upgrading, this is the time. Everything feels faster—from menu navigation to game loading—and the visual leap is immediately noticeable, especially when docked to the TV. It still keeps that magic of jumping from the big screen to handheld mode, but now with a legitimate performance boost. The Mario Kart World inclusion is brilliant. It’s the ultimate console-launch title because it’s instant fun for everyone, and it really shows off the system’s smooth multiplayer capabilities right out of the box. The new controllers feel solid, too; a noticeable improvement in comfort and responsiveness. This is more than just a minor refresh; it's a huge step forward for Nintendo. This specific bundle provides immediate, high-quality fun and showcases the console's full potential. It's truly the essential way to dive into the Switch 2 ecosystem.

A jump, Not a leap - but still worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is a magnificent leap forward that manages to feel both familiar and brand new. While it retains the core hybrid concept that made the original so beloved, every aspect has been refined and upgraded, making it a truly exceptional console. For those looking for the definitive portable gaming experience, the Switch 2, especially bundled with the brilliant Mario Kart World, is a fantastic purchase. The most noticeable improvements are in the hardware and build quality. The console feels sturdier and more premium than its predecessor, with a refined design that is both elegant and durable. The new, bigger 7.9-inch screen is a major highlight, offering a sharp 1080p resolution and a vibrant display that makes games look absolutely gorgeous in handheld mode. This is a huge upgrade from the original Switch and makes a world of difference. The new speed and graphics are a game-changer. The custom NVIDIA chip delivers a massive performance boost, allowing for faster loading times and more fluid gameplay. Games look significantly better, with enhanced visuals and smoother frame rates that breathe new life into both new and backward-compatible titles. The bundled Mario Kart World is the perfect showcase for this power, with its stunning graphics and dynamic courses. The console is a testament to Nintendo's genius, providing an overdue but well-executed upgrade that feels more polished, powerful, and fun than ever before.
