A worthy upgrade to an awesome hybrid console
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for one but hadn't been able to find one for a month since launch. All of a sudden on my birthday I got an email from best buy saying they had some so I immediately ordered one. Upon unboxing you could tell they stepped the feel up a notch and the console itself is quite a bit bigger than the OLED and the v1 that I had previously. After setting up and installing my screen protector I discovered that the right joycon had no vertical movement. I took the console to the store and they had me return the whole thing. The experience with the guy was a little rocky at first, he seemed cranky and hesitant to help me. But when I returned with all the parts and pieces his tune had completely shifted and he was pleasant and helpful. Even let me get another screen protector without additional cost. I've now got over 20 hours on my switch 2 and I've gotta say it's great.

Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great overall improvement. Battery life is nothing spectacular, controller that comes with is garbage, and storage is low. However, system runs fast and smooth and looks great compared to switch 1

switch 2 is how to do it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.best console. every switch 1 game just .... works. except they're now magically at 4k and high framerate. handheld is perfect and the object itself is a seamless curvy work of art.

Nintendo Switch 2 is an incredible upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is an incredible upgrade! The graphics are absolutely stunning, the bigger screen makes gameplay more immersive, and the built-in speakers sound surprisingly good for such a small device. I personally use the docking station more than handheld, and I love that it’s backward compatible—my Nintendo Switch 1 games work seamlessly on the new system. As for Mario Kart World, I have mixed feelings. The graphics are off the hook—truly next level—but I’m not a fan of the new Battle Mode. Unlike Mario Kart 8, where you could come back with fewer balloons and keep playing until time ran out, once you lose your life here, you’re done. That said, the game still has its own strengths and is visually amazing.

Amazing upgrade with endless fun!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is a fantastic improvement over the original. The graphics are smoother, load times are much faster, and the overall performance feels very polished. The portability is still one of the best features—you can easily switch from handheld to TV mode without any hassle. The included Mario Kart World makes it even better; it’s colorful, exciting, and perfect for playing with friends or family. The controls are responsive, and the new tracks add tons of replay value. I would highly recommend this bundle to anyone looking for a console that combines fun, flexibility, and great value.

Fun, Fast, and a Big Step Up from the Original
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is everything I hoped for and more. The graphics are sharper, load times are faster, and the battery life is noticeably improved. The new screen is vibrant and smooth whether playing handheld or docked. Pairing it with Mario Kart World was the perfect choice, it’s fast, colorful, and great for family game nights. Setup was quick, the controls feel solid, and the performance is flawless so far. If you loved the first Switch, this upgrade is 100% worth it.

Great upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with added performance. Was worth waiting to start and finish TOTK. The bigger screen size is nice but something like Dbrand’s Killswitch makes it much more comfortable to game on. The screen feels pretty nice considering the overall package and honestly I play docked on an OLED screen most of the time away. Considering the price of stuff like the ROG XBOX Ally, the price to performance feels pretty good to me

Pretty Cool
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I dont know what i was exspecting in a S2. Maybe I got my expectations a little to high. It looks the same with a bigger screen. Some upgraded parts here and there. Overall it is more powerful from it’s predecessor graphic wise. Battery power is worse. LCD screen quality is worse. I only play docked anyways…. I think nintendo should focus on an actual home console rather than a hybrid unit. Do yourself a favour and get a screen protector. I do have fun with there games though. Just wish this key card and download code in a box thing was not happening. Overall good first party games and experience. Would have been so much happier if the Mario Kart bundle came with the actual game box rather than a download code.

Nintendo Switch 2 - Worth the wait, and the cost
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new console! The Nintendo Switch 2 does not disappoint. It may seem similar to the original on first glance, but the hardware diffences make themselves known. The new screen is larger and has a crisper image. It's not OLED, but I found the quality improvements make that virtually unnoticeable. My games load much faster, and the animations seem to be smoother. It feels more ergonomic, possibly because it's wider and the controllers aren't cutting into the base of your palms as much. The new joy-cons feel built with more quality. They fit more comfortably in your hands, and have less annoying "clicky sounds" when playing than the original. Motion tracking games seem to perform better with them. Finally, the included Mario Cart World game is a blast to play and very visually appealing. My family have played it countless times already and it's our new favorite in the series.

Worthy Upgrade from the OG Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the Switch 2 from my original launch-day Switch, and the difference is night and day. The larger, upgraded screen is a game-changer—I find myself playing in handheld mode far more than I ever did with the OG model. It’s vibrant, immersive, and makes every session feel fresh again. Performance is another huge win. Games like Breath of the Wild run noticeably smoother—no more frame drops disrupting the experience. Nintendo clearly stepped up their hardware game. The updated Mario Kart included with the system is a great bonus. It’s not just a rehash—it feels like a thoughtful refresh of a classic that makes jumping back into races feel exciting again. If you’ve got kids, this is a fantastic console to have around. It’s easy to use, family-friendly, and packed with games that are fun for all ages.

Nintendo takes a step in thr right direction.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off ive had a couple switch one consoles since release. Im actively still using my switch oled to this day. The Nintendo Switch 2 is not a huge generational leap from its predecessor, but is has alot of premium features that will help carry it to the future. The positives are the larger screen ans overall size, it personal fits the shape of my hands better. The new joycons connect and disconnect with a new magnet system that is amazing. The dock has a cooling fan and wired ethernet port for a fast connection. 4k 60 to 120 is a nice bump. Battery life in older games is decent and from the few plays throughts in cyberpunk im getting at least two hours of charge. So there are some cons. The screen is larger but after having a oled swtich this new screen will never compare to it. Hopefully Nintendo will release oled 2. New switch 2 games are few and far betweem with most being upgrades of previous games and only dockey kong really showcasing the new systems compatibility. Joy con drift will be a issue since they haven’t improved the sticks. My biggest complaint isnthe new digital only games in a case situation that they are currently doing. Some game will only come with a digital code, no cartridge

Great Console, Needs More Games
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing console with excellent battery life! I’ve been using the Switch 2 for about 2 months now and enjoy how light weight, versatile, and fast this console is. I’ve played Mario Kart, Fortnite, and Hades 2 and each game has run flawlessly and smooth! What’s truly lacking is more Switch 2 titles, which Nintendo has been really slow to release - Pokemon isn’t available until mid-Oct and Meteor Prime doesn’t come out until the end of the year.

Excellent console and upgrade from Switch 1
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been waiting for Nintendo's next console for a while, and I'm happy to say I'm really enjoying it so far, having been playing and using it for a little over a month now. I appreciate the substantial upgrade while having familiarity with the Switch 1. I mainly use it in docked mode with a TV, and it's excellent! New and older games I have played and tested work well, with some Switch 1 games getting a nice little performance bump to make the experience even better. Some things could be improved, such as the unfortunate lack of VRR in docked mode, as of now. (I am hopeful Nintendo can figure it out and bring it an update.) HDR calibration is a little weak, leading me to mess with TV settings and the console settings for a good image. And when I do use the console as a handheld, the battery life is less than desired. Not a terrible problem for me, as I primarily don't use it that way anyway. Still, it's also slightly uncomfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. I even had the sides of the controllers pinch my skin a bit when holding it. However, it is definitely an improvement over the original, but still can be improved. Other than the price being a bit higher than I would or many appreciate for the console, and Switch 2 games, I still say it's worth it for people who have a Switch 1 to replay or experience new games, or someone who never had a Nintendo Switch at all as a great console to experience the hybrid console from Nintendo.

A Great Update to a Great System...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great little system, so far. My kids absolutely love Mario Kart World, and this version just updates and upgrades all the things we liked about Switch 1. The controllers are especially nice, but only time will tell if the drift issue from the previous models has actually been fixed, like they said. We all love the bigger screen, and enhanced graphics as well, all though it is less portable, although not egregiously so. Biggest plus is being able to use all our previous games and even getting a free upgrade to some of them via our Nintendo Online account. Breath of the Wild has been given new life and I'm playing it again. It's pricey but considering the lifespan of the previous system (which was much longer than the average Games Workshop game) and all the fun we had with it, we expect to get a lot of use out of this one, so it was worth the cost.

Switch 2 Is Where It's At
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easily one of my favorite gaming consoles yet Bringing the nostalgia of simple, intuitive Nintendo controls to portable gaming. The amount of fun I've been able to have with friends and family has been great. Games play smoothly out of the dock and the graphical presentation on an OLED monitor is stunning. The system itself is sturdy and has classy presentational look about it that won't look akward in a living room setup. Has been a great way to pass the time on my work commutes on the train. If you can get one, which was a painless process on the Best Buy app, I can't recommend it enough.

A more powerful switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember buying a Switch lite back in 2021, and I ended up returning it. I was disappointed in a lot of things - the system wasn't very powerful, the default storage ran out quickly, and it wasn't very ergonomic. The culmination of all of these flaws meant it didn't really feel like a console - it felt like a toy. I guess that's a silly distinction to make for devices meant for playing video games, but it's how I felt. The Switch 2 doesn't feel like that at all. It's pretty impressive how it keeps all of the things that worked about the Switch 1, just in a more powerful, appealing package. The kickstand is solid and versatile, instead of flimsy and weak. The screen is a beautiful, 1080p at a size that makes it shine. The new controllers aren't perfectly ergonomic, but they're a huge step up from the gen 1 Joy-Cons. It feels very comparable, and even better in a few ways to my Steam Deck, which is a huge accomplishment. My main reason for knocking off a star is that I don't think there's a huge reason to get one now, especially if you already own a Switch 1. The only real exclusive experience is has right now is Mario Kart, which is great, but probably not worth $500 on it's own. I think for most people, I would say to wait a few months. Give the developers time to made ports and Switch 2 upgrade packs, see what Nintendo reveals in the next direct.
